kaiserkuchen: (Hawaii Five-0! LOUD NOISES)

Mostly seen alone, as I am apparently not European or at least German enough as my friends have informed me to see that a) going to movies alone is weird and hints at friendlessness and b) going to see movies during the way is just a waste of daylight. FIE ON YOU ALL I SAY and anyways, watching movies during the day when I am in town, have no one to meet up for lunch and no real desire to spend most of the afternoon actually eating my way whatever shopping center I am in (always tempting though!) is an excellent way to pass the time and not spend TOO much money. Even if ticket prices are getting horrendous and admittedly, it does suck when you have no one to discuss the movie with later. WHICH IS WHY THE INTERNET WAS INVENTED, I GUESS.

X-Men: First Class: Currently seems to be the fandom flavor du jour (at least on tumblr) due to no small part to the beautiful and epic romance of Charles and Erik and Fassbender and McAvoy's portrayal of them and why yes, I throughly enjoyed my viewing (having supressed just how horrible Kevin Bacon attempting foreign languages sounded) and am still tempted to watch it a second time as long as it's still playing here. Super super gay and super fabulous (60s!) and I admit that my biggest thrill in the X-Men movies is still seeing all the mutant characters and their powers. And the casting in this movie was eyecandy galore-- I do agree with the general consensus that January Jones was weirdly wooden as hell though, but visually I felt she was spot on. I refuse to believe that (SPOILER) is dead though (and how quickly into the action-y bits of the movie this occurred. WE WERE ROBBED), and thankfully there is enough fic to fanwank that into something acceptable for me. Also I ship (SPOILER) with Havok like burning, accept no substitutes. Anybody want to talk to me about the epic fic for this fandom they've read? I've mostly been reading along on my blackberry's eensy screen and man there are some amazing ones out so far <333. PS [livejournal.com profile] taurenova  I'M STILL WAITING FOR YOU TO DE-ANON those two WIP!Fills of yours ahhh I am so enticed by your constant twitter mentions about them already.

Killing Bono: A movie I went in knowing nothing about besides the fact that it involved Bono, was set in the 80s and had Robert Sheehan & Ben Barnes with Irish accents. The latter reason was sadly just about enough for me. Such a sucker for nice accents I am, yes. The movie was surprisingly good though I did spend most of it with my hands in front of my face from intense embarassment squick as Ben Barnes' character seemed to make BAD LIFE DECISIONS, like momentually horrible, no-good ones with every damn breath he took and shit kept piling on him. But it was sweet and funny and Robert Sheehan as the long-suffering brother was cute. The best part has to have been the music, which was fucking fantastic (I had no idea Ben Barnes could sing, and could sing THIS well. Color me impressed, Prince Caspian!)-- my favorite has to be "Where We Want To Be" but "The Great Beyond" and "Kicking Off Again" are also great.

Super 8: Another movie I went in on a whim and was very impressed by (barring that ending ughhh cop-out to the max! WHAT HAPPENED AFTERWARDS, I want to know). I heard that Coach from FNL was going to be in it and had a vague idea of the plot, but I wasn't expected to be so wholly charmed by the story and the kid actors and their character's relationships. The movie they were filming!Their improvisations and epic squabbles! Elle Fanning was seriously adorable and will grow up gorgeous, sheesh, but it was the main kid (Joel Courtney) that impressed me the most. I wasn't expecting the dead!mom angst to start with though, which was again a bit of a "whyyyyyyy movie, whyyyy with the dead mothers" and I quite possibly over-identified a bit with the grieving process he was going through but his acting choices and just the whole thing was spot on and felt so real.

HARK! A BOOK--- Deadline, by Mira Grant: The second book of her Newsflesh trilogy (Zombies! Bloggers!) and it was just a compelling read, if not more so than the first. Keeping it vague as not to spoil, but we have Shaun Mason barely clinging to his sanity and dealing with the huge events at the end of the first book and uncovering what looks to be a bigger conspiracy than they ever expected with the rest of the End of Times crew.  This one ends with just about a big a twist ending/cliff hanger as Feed did and now I just can't wait for the last book to come out next year, ahh. THOUGH SERIOUSLY, people who have read this, tell me if this is just my finely honed incest-googles tricking me or is it basically now confirmed canon that the Mason siblings love each other that way? Because I couldn't quite believe the book would go there, but apparently it is so and I think that's great <33. Them against the world, baby!

RANDOM LINKS TO ROUND THIS OFF: THIS EPIC VIOLIN COVER OF THE GAME OF THRONES THEME SONG. I have been remiss about blogging about it but tl;dr: LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT and I cannot have Dance with Dragons in my hands too fricken soon ahhh is it next week yet?? An excellent article about fan-fiction by TIME aaaaaaand this wonderful THOR fic: Sigyn (binding is not punishment). That ending, fuuuuuck! Also: I totally ship it now.

kaiserkuchen: (Hawaii Five-0- So married!)
AND NOW IT IS PAST 4AM. I had plans for tonight, but then I got sucked into reading fic, amongst others this epic Arthur/Eames AU ficverse where Arthur's a pianist and Eames is a lyric baritone and their love is so lieder, omg. SO GOOD, AHH. Especially love how the author has embedded links to all the ~significant music that is mentioned, so that I can click on the videos and try to force myself into having more of a nuanced appreciation for classical music beyond "hurf durf pretty sounds".

SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, I present a version of Danny Williams as an angry, angry otter that I doodled between callers today.

This is all part of something very cracktastic that dearest [livejournal.com profile] laliandra shared with me, the idea of the Hawaii 5-0 team as sea animals with Kono & Chin as sleek, amazing dolphins, Steve the SEA LION SEAL (dur!) and of course, Danny as the slightly odd one out aka THE HUMBLE OTTER. This means that my brain is mostly overcome by otters, though googling "how big are otters", "cute otters", "otters standing up" is not exactly a hardship. Also I keep trying to figure out a way to convey his hair, so until I figure that out y'all have to deal with tiny, tiny ties for now.

PS: A nicely creepy version of "Sweet Dreams" (Sucker Punch OST) I am pretty looking forward to seeing Sucker Punch, negl, if only for the amazing spectacle it promises to be. I was so shocked to find out that A) the main chick is that girl from the Lemony Snicket movies and that B) she can actually sing, as evidenced here.
kaiserkuchen: (Community! SO CHANGRY INDEED)
I have again fallen into the trap of forsaking LJ again (RL! READING ALL THREE REMAINING SONG OF ICE AND FIRE BOOKS IN ABOUT TWO WEEKS), though at least I have been pretty up to date on Twitter and my actualfax agenda-keeping so I can actually remember what I have been spending my days doing and there is proof that I have not reverted into an antisocial hermit.

Some links that have been perking my mood up lately:

Thailand's Got Talent: One-handed Guitarist ...Filed under: Amazing and inspirational things that make me tear up. And now with English subtitles for your edification, too (there are even notes on the dialects! And the song lyrics! I can't even). His relationship with his older brother and what he says in the end about how if there's another life, he wishes that they'll be born as brothers again because he still owes so much to his older brother? AUGHHHHHH ;___;. This is the kind of thing that I would normally be watching on TV with Ma, or have her send me a link on YT.

Thailand's Got Talent: Belle Nantita ...Wait for the 1:23 mark. I LOVE IT (imho a better rendition than the original versions) and I just adore the crowd's and judges' reactions of glee and amazement. She also passed through that round, it case it wasn't obvious already XDD.

Tex Perkins & Murray Paterson- "Beautiful Kate(Main Theme)" ...found this from random tumblr stalkage, such a lovely and haunting melody.

Glee - BIG ASS HEART ...YES I HAVE A LEGIT EARWORM FROM THIS SONG. Such a catchy beat and I'd rather have it then say, FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY lol.

Graffiti60 - Stare Into the Sun ...I spent most of the song mistakenly thinking that the lead singer was a suddenly very young and svelte looking Nick Lachey and as such being very impressed with how groovy and great the song was. This band is pretty damn good, as it turns out. Good on you, fake!Nick Lachey!

Only the Best by maderr on the AO3. Filthy hot Green Hornet porn.

F*cking Machine by Icka M. Chif on the AO3. MOAR Green Hornet fic. SERIOUSLY, UNF.

this famine that carries me by [livejournal.com profile] nevcolleil. Inception/RED. Frank Moses is Arthur's father. Here are three times Arthur's crazy-ass family scared the crap out of Eames (and one time when he didn't mind so much). .....SO MUCH YES TO THIS.

The Case of the Interloper by [livejournal.com profile] imogenedisease. Inception/Sherlock (BBC). “What if I told you I knew the world’s only consulting detective?” Eames asks.
“I’d ask what the fuck that is,” Arthur says, and Eames only answers with a huff of laughter.
...I laughed so much through this brilliant fic and its equally amazing sequel, The Case of the Extraction of England. Arthur meets his match in Sherlock and is amusingly furious and FULL OF RIGHTEOUS >:((!!-face for most of the time. Fantastic character interaction and just the idea of Sherlock in the dream-sharing world? AMAZING (and scary like hell, ahhh).

Alex O'Loughlin interview&pics from InStyle April '11 ...how is Alex O'Loughlin EVEN REAL?? This man is amazingly charming and lovely ugh I cannot deaaaaaaaaal <333. ALSO HIS CLOTHES-SNOBBERY IS ENDEARING.

...tomorrow I will try to write an actual post of text and substance, but the actual minuscule coding for these few links has tired me too much lol. /A FAILURE AT BLOGGING AND THE INTERNET
kaiserkuchen: (Community! AND THEN WE ALL DIE)
My first week of being back on the job since the 9th of December last year is behind me now and I have got to say that barring getting to see my ladies (and dude, can't forget M, our lone XY chromosome-holder in the group) again, IT WAS A LOAD OF STEAMING SHIT. I thought it was all in my head at first, that I wasn't used to the workload any more, the way the calls seemed to pile up but I counted along and we are back to the level of having a call come in every minute for about 95% of the work day. I am still lucky that most of these aren't the negative yelling-and-insulting-your-intelligence ones, but it is only a matter of time. In the interest of keeping my sanity up, I have implemented the usual coping-strategies without shame again, fuck my statistics: delaying the moment of picking up the phone, spending a bit of the post-call processing time eating snacks and uh, sometimes just hanging up on the callers for accounts that piss me off. These little rebellions are still a drop in the ocean though, since deep in my heart I normally like to follow rules and normally feel very guilty about these things.

We also have a new girl R, who I am still formulating my opinion about, but the current forecast seems to be rough since she pings all my dirty-hippy-backpacker prejudices and that just makes me automatically affect a more disdainful and stuck-up version of who I normally am. I KNOW BACKPACKERS ARE MOSTLY VERY NICE PEOPLE but man the ones that I have talked to that keep yammering about how their way is the only ~true way to experience the REAL Asia just keep getting my hackles up. Also perhaps we are too jaded but I. told me that R also has some pretty naive expectations about her working life here and ahahahaha we'll see. We kind of have an unofficial bet going for how long she's gonna last.

[livejournal.com profile] yuletart reveals went up a few days ago and I can now say that I was behind the following The Hunger Games paper dolls! I remain pretty pleased with how it turned out, and again, many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] laliandra and [livejournal.com profile] laulan for being my usual art betas! Am not at my own computer at the moment, but I'll put up an actual post soon with the HQ versions as I did make them to actually be playable (well somewhat. At the very least, they're supposed to be nearly A4-sized!). My gift art this year was the following SMOKING HOT CAROLINE from The Vampire Diaries (season 2 spoilers!) by the lovely [livejournal.com profile] dualbunny, who was also my own recipient lol. BASICALLY I WAS VERY PLEASED BY THIS YEAR'S YULETART and it remains one of my favorite yearly art fests ♥

Here are also some awesome vids that I have been linked to and have been obsessively rewatching:

Cupid's Chokehold by [livejournal.com profile] nel_ani. Hawaii Five-0 Steve/Danny goodness, AHHHH ♥. I need to download this onto my laptop so I can watch it every day for that shot of pure happiness, ahh. Such clever use of the clips to the lyrics, too-- I just keep alternating between cracking up and sighing contently.
Runs in the Family by [livejournal.com profile] kaiyote. Supernatural and a total MOOD SHIFT from the previous vid. Fantastic song choice and look at the fucked-up angels and again, excellent use of clips and sharp, rapid cutting. I particularly adore the editing of the "fill me up" (all the sex and in between it all, Cas gorging himself on food) and "knock me up" (ANGELS WILL MESS YOU UP) parts. Also, it reminds me that Misha Collins is fantastic at all those different weary/hopeless/dead tired Castiel!faces.
Sex and Reruns by [livejournal.com profile] greensilver. Community and mucho thanks for Lalface for reccing this to me. I cannot say enough that Community is one of the best shows ever and every one should watch it. How can it be so consistently hilarious and touching, creative and zany and still above all retain such a lovely heart? I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT and this vid just reinforces my convictions ♥ ♥.
Folding Chair by [livejournal.com profile] sisabet. Another Community vid, this time focusing on Annie. Lovely song and OH ANNIE, YOU ARE SO AMAZING AND HILARIOUS AND ADORABLE <33. I had the biggest smile after I finished watching this. And Allison Brie is hot, it has to be said.
kaiserkuchen: (STrek! I MAKE GOOD LIFE CHOICES)
I meant to do this earlier, but then I got distracted by awesome Skypeing with dearest [livejournal.com profile] laulan who sacrificed sleeping in on her Sunday to listen to me yammer on. TIME-ZONES, ONE DAY YOU WILL CEASE TO BE IN OUR WAY. And then, I guess I COULD'VE been productive, but I was again lured off the tracks by the siren song of NOT reading 20K ++ fic epics of my eensy Blackberry screen.

INCEPTION. A pretty swell movie, if I might say so myself, and thankfully most of the internet seems to agree as there is a stupendous amount of fic and art out there right now already. cut for potential SPOILERY TALK here )

ANYWAYS! Here is a quick and dirty selection of things I gleaned off other people's rec lists, so happy reading (if you haven't already devoured all of these). Mostly Arthur/Eames, with a smattering of the others.

The Eames and Arthur Supervisory Hour by [livejournal.com profile] hackthis ...in my eyes, hackthis can do no wrong and this is just another example of excellent witty banter and all around awesome. There is wooing! Cranky Arthur! And Saito being excellent. Seriously, he is my utter favorite here.
You Can't Hide the Sun With Two Fingers by [livejournal.com profile] hackthis ...now I am wondering about what Eames' first name would be, too. HMMM.
Hotter Than Tales of Crack Peddlin' by [livejournal.com profile] hackthis ...layers upon layers of general brilliance. I am clearly losing my eloquence, ahh *shakes fist*
where you belong by [livejournal.com profile] vega_ofthe_lyre "Think of it as an exercise in interhouse relations," Eames says, slinging an arm around Arthur's shoulders. "We could share secrets! And braid each other's hair! And do, I don't know, trust falls." ...HOGWARTS!AU skjfhajkfh ahhhh <33
weary memories (i can always see) by [livejournal.com profile] vega_ofthe_lyre "Did you miss me?" ...and then, BAM, have a fist to the heart with this one. Just the right length to make you wish for more and wonder about all that was left unsaid.
Not Dreaming Now by [livejournal.com profile] taurenova "What were you dreaming about when they were testing the Kicks?" Ariadne asks, leaning back from level two. ...Or as the actual summary says: a moment. This is just lovely.
DAPPER GQ MOFO FANART by [livejournal.com profile] bluestraggler ...so smoooooooth ♥

...AND THERE SHOULD BE MOAAAAAAR (and I was trying to systematically work my way through authors) BUT OKAY I AM TIRED AND IT IS 3AM, just go look at Aja's epic Inception round-up/reference post instead. FILLED WITH GOODIES!
And don't forget to check out the FUCKYEAHINCEPTION Tumblr! I basically saved about half of its contents (like a boss).

...*FLAILS*. I will bet cold hard cash that Quinn (who is looking kind of ueber-orange and vaguely like someone stole half of his previous body weight) ends up dead. JUST A HUNCH YANNO.
kaiserkuchen: (ETC! OH SNAP SNAP SNAP)
I can has a sad that these precious days of being slob are again numbered. I had all these plans of Facial! Massage! Go to the gym to make up for missing Friday (DAMMIT but my PT wasn't there anyways and I am so lax on my own, ahh I BLAME THE SURPRISE EARLY SHIFT CHANGE)! What did I end up doing? Spending way too much time online of course, though I got some delightful phone calls with RL friends here and skyping with Carmen and others in. Carmen is now basically the one of us living up the 20-something life. She goes out occasionally! There are Hot Dudes of Interest vying for her affection! And I am basically on the edge of my seat going TELL ME MOAAAAR as we skype XDD. I am just so super pleased for her, and it is high time that dudes finally recognize the hot slice of fabulous my dear BFF is ♥

Did get some quality mother-daughter time with Ma too, delish Dimsum lunch at the Dhara Dhevi (CASTLE IN THE SKYYYY) Oriental, followed by raiding their cake shop for sweet noms. I had cherry sherbet, bought some berry cake, a chocolate scone and a mini box of macaroons (olive! pistachio! banana passion!), as well as an intriguing Tom Kha Gai(!!!) praline.

But to fill this entry with more than just RL yammering, here are
Things on the Internet That Have Made Me Happy:
"Alex Wong from Ballet to Hip-hop" ...SYTYCD is by far one of my favorite reality shows and it almost makes me want to take dance lessons, but I still always feel to uncoordinated and am still at the phase where I dislike looking at my sweaty, red-faced self in mirrors. ALEX IS THE BEST THOUGH, oh my god I love male ballet dancers so fucking much. And that hip-hop routine in the end! BRILLIANT and those bits where he was doing the ballet moves in that street gear? *swoooooons*
Alex Wong and Billy Bell on SYTYCD ...seriously, Alex Wong would've won this fucking season, aughhh it still is so horrible that he got injured. And he just looks smoking hot here, guh. More bonus points for that particular version of "This Bitter Earth/On the Nature of Daylight" unfff that song. SHIVERING RN.
"Kombat Dancers gone haywire" ...seriously, I MEAN LOOK AT THIS DUDE. The fact that they're dancing this in such full regalia penguin suits makes everything even more extra special XDD
EVERY SINGLE THING THAT HAS TO DO WITH THE NEW OLD SPICE ADS ...SO GENIUS, THE END. The way Isiah Mustafa says HELLO LADIES (and well, everything tbqh) will never stop to crack me up <333333333. And [livejournal.com profile] ladypolitik made genius icons and animated gifs HERE!
Touhou Vid set to "Bad Apple" ...b&w and trippy as all get out. SO HYPNOTIC and just amazingly well made. It helps that I am also mildly obsessed with the song, but I know barely diddlysquat about Touhou and have already rewatched this a few times, ahh.
STAR TREK + GODGA FANART ...why didn't I realize that bits of the Alejandro are basically VULCAN PON-FARR as well sjakfhjafs ahahaha oh man I will never look at those bowl-cuts the same way again. Spock looks adorable, to boot ♥

And last but certainly not least,
25 Lives [livejournal.com profile] tongari's submission to SSBB defies description in how gorgeous, moving and brilliant it is. I have had this open in a tab for AGES, and I still don't get sick of coming back and just staring at it again and again. The second panel is one of my favorites, though all the scenarios are just. AHHH ♥ Highly recommended!
kaiserkuchen: (Mr. Darcy! Oh My~)
- Cheer-inducing links: I WANT THIS NECKLACE SO BAD. LIKE REALLY BAD AHHHH *_*, Yay Lady Gaga fanart!, TONY STARK FACTS FUCK YEAH, My inner 8 year-old is SQUEEING at this (western) live action Sailor Moon casting picspam, Another SPN genderswitch casting that I think has some interesting ideas of the Not Winchester characters
- It was a beautiful and sunny day, and I had lunch and hung out with Ex-Tutor Georg, Clemens and Wido at the Stiegl Ambulanz. Delicious noms (Kärtner Kasnudeln!) and a fantastic rambling conversation that quickly went off the tracks and turned into an exercise in who could say the most outrageously perverted things and tell the stupidest jokes. I am pleased to say that I scored a few good zingers and played a part in making two grown men cry from laughter :DD I also feel that I deserve bonus points, as we made Georg laugh through most of his sudden phone-call and be basically unintelligible to someone who turned out to be his date for tomorrow. WHOOPS :DD And when we parted ways I got a hug from him that lifted me up a bit (always thrilling when guys do this to me as I am not petite and light and thus never expect it) and a last parting shot that broke his brain (the fact that Vulcan peen is very likely green XDD)
- Saw A Single Man with Olga today, and what an amazing experience. An utterly gorgeous, intensely well-acted and wonderfully well-made movie that delighted, made you cry and even laugh at certain parts. Seriously, the last thing I expected going in to watch this was that I'd be laughing a bunch of times thanks to the sprinkling of jokes and moments of surprise levity. Colin Firth rightly deserves all the accolades he got for his role as George Falconer, he was spectacular. As was Matthew Goode (the flashbacks to various memories that George and Jim had together! AHHH sobsob). Nicholas Hoult seemed weirdly orange (probably because his hair was so light, too) and I spent a lot of time in his scenes staring at his faaaace and his fuzzy white sweater get-up and marveling at how tall he apparently is. Another thing that HAS to be mentioned is the score. OH MAN. I need to get the OST as soon as possible.
Youtuuuuuube clips )

- THE SITUATION BACK HOME. "Deadly blasts hit Bangkok protest" (helpful maps), "Bomb terror grips Silom" and Thai grenade attack kills at least 3". WHAT THE EVERLOVING FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK. This is just getting worse and worse. And what is perhaps the most creepy part of these attacks to me is that I know that area, and normally like spending time there (especially in the evening browsing the night market that is set up on the sidewalks... which, oh, was AROUND THE TIME THE GRENADES WENT OFF :|||). The BK Magazine office I interned at are basically also on the opposite side of the street where the grenades went off. As I've mentioned before, Bangkok is becoming more and more inhospitable for all the plans I had made for slowly getting myself settled there on my own-- living near Langsuan (a stone's throw away from the red-shirt camp), shopping and perhaps also working at Ratchaprasong (REAAAALLY smack-dab in the red-shirt camp) and now this happening to Silom? I've heard that the shopkeepers in the area are mobilizing and ready to defend their homes and livelihoods though, which is great. Though I can already see that this'll just end with more injured, and more dead. AUGHHH.
My plan remains reaaaaaally hoping for the Singapore thing to work out (the lady won't be calling me tomorrow after all, and I'll just be dropping by for a face-to-face interview on the 28th, since we're going to Singapore regardless. Yay birthday present!).

...I now forgot what else I was going to say. OH RIGHT I AM WAAAAAAAAAY NOT DONE WITH PACKING AND MOST OF MY LAST ERRANDS YET. FUUUUCK. So gonna stay home and try to get this done on my last night in Vienna tomorrow, I don't care how anti-climatic it is.
kaiserkuchen: (TVD! Damon is Not Impressed)
But I am stubborn and refusing to capitulate, or something. Today has so far been a day of trying to minimize all the tabs I have open and using the power of my brain to make certain people come online. So far I have failed to get a hold of Clemens (that dick, first he doesn't answer my calls, then smses me for lunch on Monday AND THEN doesn't reply to my calls/messages about uh, when to actually meet on Monday. WHY IS HE SO TEDIOUS SOMETIMES) but succeeded in talking to Ma. Which is yay, she's feeling better and all that and has new and shiny advice for me when for when I come back to BKK. Which basically amounts to "if you don't get a job at an ad agency, maybe you could become an English teacher for shits and giggles! I hear there are two week courses you can do to get a certificate that only cost 10'000 baht!" lolll man I'd feel like such a cliche if I were to actually go down that route, the fact that I am probably wholly unsuited to teaching aside. But speaking of home, I have been poking about the news sites a bit and AUGH the news about the Red-shirts' latest fuckwittery is just rage-inducing. Disgusting, foolish AND *headdesks*. Assholes. Also, I keep forgetting not to read the comments section of the articles, mooooooooar idiocy only lies in wait there.

The past few days have been awesome Viennese fun though, had drinks&snacks&drinks&POOL with Wido on Friday (a surprise turn of events if you know both of us and alcohol and my normal thoughts on pool) and spent Saturday going grocery-shopping with Miss Olga and camping out on her lovely sofa broadening my education in the finer points of Austrian Films of Note. Though I still can't remember where I saw bits of Komm, süßer Tod before, watching it and Silentium were great fun. Looking forward to Knochenmann (the third in the loosely-connected trilogy) soon!

Am still in the middle of uploading pictures for the first of a few image-posts, so until that gets down have some Links of ♥:
__ Casting the Greek Gods in a modern dramedy by [livejournal.com profile] zombres. I am basically a sucker for all thing Greek god-related, and this was just catnip, delicious delicious catnip to me. And even better, there is a Part Two and Part Three! Kyaaa, some of the casting choices *_*b
__ Ke$ha's Tik Tok rewritten a la Tony Stark also by [livejournal.com profile] zombres. I WISH THIS WERE THE ACTUAL SONG NOW. So excellent!
__ I am behind on my SPN news, but this is just a further sign that Misha Collins is unbelievable <33. SERIOUSLY THIS DUDE. THIS DUDE
__ Harmony Drawing Tool ...not news that this thing is intensely cool. AHH *goes and doodles some more*
__ THE DOGGIE GAGA PROJECT ...yessssssss. I now intensely desire to put Ace and Nero in similar get-ups *_*
kaiserkuchen: (Rukia! Schawiiing and kachiiing)
I have been on a roll of productivity today, which probably means that I will probably fail a lot at doing things tomorrow just so that the universe is balanced. It's amazing what one can actually accomplish in a day if you set your sights higher than "wash hair, eat lunch, spend 5 hours reading fic" lol. Though I sure hope that the crappery with trying to book my flight and having the credit card be denied from the bank in Thailand (?? wtf) will be resolved without much hassle. I just want my fucking plane ticket, jeez. Running these errands and the subsequent lunch with Olga was another nigh point in the day though, and I am already intensely looking forward to all the fun stuff we have planned for my remaining time here ♥

But before I forget, something I wanted to post about for aaaaaaaaages already: MUSIC to shaaaaare
Cut for song descriptions and DL links )

And in conclusion, some more links of interest:
Genderswitched SPN casting ...the ladies chosen are all exceedingly cool, but how much do I love the choices for male!Ellen and Jo? AN INSANE AMOUNT :Db
"A Striking Position to Take: SPN and economic instability" ...I really enjoyed this essay/meta. Some excellent points and wonderfully articulated.

kaiserkuchen: (STrek! I MAKE GOOD LIFE CHOICES)
Time should just continue to exist in a molasses slow or limbo-like state until I manage to get all the shit I need to be done completed, okay?? Went to bed waaaay later than I was supposed to, but the fantastic skyping I had with Miss C and Andy was way more than worth it ♥ And of course the funtimes watching German TV shows of dubious quality with Miss Olga and nomming on her food that occurred beforehand.

White Collar S1x09

Supernatural S5x12

I still need to see this again to bask in the glory of RDJ's brit accent )

Oh, and before I forget- here are some great links:
__ The Uniform Project. 365 days, 1 dress. The sheer creativity and style in each picture so far is stunning, and there are a lot of nifty touches and ideas that you can adapt to wear yourself... AND it's a project for a good cause, which is just added awesome. I'd recommend checking it out in monthly view, for extra added impact.
__ If there ever is a movie where these three play brothers, the universe will implode from the hotness ...I mean, I think RDJ is the "weakest link" if compared to the freaky way that JDM and Javier Bardem look alike, but I could and would totally buy the idea that they could play blood-relations.
__ Jon Hamm's John Ham I have always wanted to see this fabled clip from the first time that Jon Hamm hosted SNL, and now I have finally found a version that isn't on hulu or some other vid platform that hates me. HA-HA :Db And I just love Jon Hamm so damn much, okayyyy ♥

LASTLY: CHECK OUT THIS EPIC KRIS ALLEN PICSPAM by [livejournal.com profile] pettyscenes. HOLY SHIT, THIS IS A WORK OF ART *swooons*, with A+ commentary.
kaiserkuchen: (ETC! My productivity summed up)
Things I managed to do today, albeit with massive time delay:
1) Translate my CV into German, which was as hard as I figured and thus always procrastinated on. Had to fiddle for ages with the formatting to make it all fit on that one page, as what you can efficiently say in English always seems to grow to encompass a few more words when you try to translate it to German. Also, Carmen gave me some pretty big pointers on the way I structured my internship descriptions that I wouldn't have even have recognized as being hinky and incorrect from a German point of view. Which is something that always irritates me about myself, the fact that a part of me just clings to doing everything in English all the time even though I should know better and surround myself with more German, since there is a very high probability that I will need a more nuanced style when I start working. Though I have heard that my grammar fail is improving to just being "often kind of effed up", as opposed to like, "always".
NEXT UP: COVER LETTERS (in BOTH languages, woe)

2) Addressed and sealed the very last batch of mail that will finally be sent off this Monday. This was something I started ever since Fantastic Pizza Friday at darling [livejournal.com profile] cheshire_tabby's place, so I'm happy I can finally say that this year's wholly delayed batch of mail will soon be out of my hands. [livejournal.com profile] gwy, [livejournal.com profile] nebst and [livejournal.com profile] laliandra, expect some goods in a week or two or less, I guess :D

3) Somewhat cleaned the rooms! Well my actual plan of a leisurely evening spent cleaning was disrupted by the sudden and unexpected return of Sabrina, who just left yesterday at noon, what the hell. I knew that I should have vacuumed in the afternoon instead of procrastinating, but she left again pretty abruptly for a while and I used that time to hurriedly wipe down everything in the kitchen and bathroom with the magical goodness that are these household wetwipe towelette things. All the dust and hair is gone, and whatever I missed I will vac tomorrow once she leaves, and I can go back to feeling okay again. Sabrina's been oddly adherent to our new policy of wiping the kitchen down and keeping things in order, so it's important for me to be on my toes all the time, as well. CONSTANT VIGILANCE. Though, keeping with the niggling feeling of ~it's too perfect, I have noticed lipstick marks on my milk packets and more weirdly, on my toothpaste tube, too. Which is interesting, given that though I do drink from the milk packet, I haven't actually worn lipstick for ages (yes I am a slob, but it is only my germs, OR SO I THOUGHT). I don't even want to think about what she does to the toothpaste, but like I told Carmen (who was all "I will never understand the way Sabrina's mind works"), this is positively innocuous given previous happenings. I do feel kind of disturbed about drinking my milk now though :|

GORGEOUS BAG UNO ... I will never stop fantasizing about designer bags that are currently way beyond my means. I mean, I am a sucker for bowling bags anyways, but look how classy this is! The dark green and the black and that cut-out effect, ahh.
GORGEOUS BAG DOS ...I swear, if my memory doesn't fail me, this is the same bag that one of the PR higher ups owned at the internship and that I swooned over every day for nearly three months. Or it could've been one of the YSL Muse ones that have more structure. EITHER WAY. ONE DAY I WILL OWN THIS. So huge, so glorious.
Super cute White Collar vid ...seriously, just watching it made me have a big stupid grin on my face.
kaiserkuchen: (Dexter! Angels & Demons)
Started to do so since yesterday, and managed to suddenly wind up in front of the computer at 3AM again. DAMMIT, SELF!! Simon Amstell is probably my favorite host though, he is so hilarious and snarky ♥ Cracked up so much at the episode with Kelly Rowland who kept looking at turns vaguely confused and disturbed by the shenanigans going on XDD.

Because thinking up smooth transitions from paragraph to paragraph is too much of a fucking hassle atm, a random list of things I have been up to:

- Watched Gamer with Carmen on Friday, starring Gerard Butler and Michael C. Hall amongst others and it was quite possibly one of the most stupid and insulting movies I have ever seen in a good long while. I mean, though the topic is interesting and merits discussion, I had no real expectations of ~depth~ from a movie that is basically about REAL VIDEO GAMES!!1 in the future and nanobots and death-row prisoners fighting to win the game and gain freedom but OH WAIT they are controlled by players!1 and the head of the game tech developing company is EVIL!1, but the cliches the movie traded in were extensive and dated, the way women and people who weren't fit white men were treated was disgusting and demeaning and quite frankly, the action wasn't all that great. It was quite clear that the makers specifically tailored everything in the movie to their core audience of 16-twentysomething year old dudes, and it was evident in things like the titsapalooza in every possible scene, the groupies who vidchat the Gerard Butler Character's gamer calling themselves Cumdumpstaaz (....seriously), fake!lesbians galore and various demeaning things happening to GBC's wife during her "job" as some virtual reality meatpuppet.
The only good thing about the movie was basically Michael C. Hall's unrepentantly hammy yet entertaining performance as the villain (with a southern accent, even >_>;), and I just basically kept imagining him in character as Dexter for the lulz, I do admit it. This scene in particular was perfection. His creepy dancing and lip-synching!

- Finally got around to cleaning up my yahoo!mail account, which was heading towards the big 10'000 of emails, so I uh, spent the afternoon trying and eventually succeeding in deleting 6'000 emails. Phew! All those FB and LJ notifications from ahem, 2006 and 2007, GOODBYE!

- Had delicious delights with Hazel and Carmen today at the Pure Living Bakery. Exceedingly charming place and lovely, home-made pastries. I had a "monster cinnamon roll" that was baked with apple slices in it, om nom nom ♥. Also discovered that Hazel has a crazy, crazy schedule and Carmen and I are basically hobos who complain about actually having to leave the house every now and again in comparison, lol.

- For the last few days, and basically since I came back from Salzburg, I have meant to post a bit about [livejournal.com profile] yuletart. Have probably spammed the same favorites I had over and over again to different people on skype, but never did I actually remember to mention it here. Well consider this the day I change this! My Yuletart pic this year was from Pushing Daisies and I received a lovely Steampunk!DDS picture of Serph from [livejournal.com profile] mashimero. Here is a small selection of personal favorites from this year's lot (go check out the rest!):
A)ZOMBIES AND VIOLENCE! Two tastes that go well together (Left 4 Dead/Team Fortress 2)
B)Gorgeous pencil sketches of Morgana and The Fall (Merlin, The Fall)
C)Utterly fantastic craft-y knitting idea (Merlin)
D)STUNNING genderswap of the main four (Merlin) ...idek why I liked the Merlin stuff so much this year XDDD
E)Bonafide story-tale beauty (Merlin) [livejournal.com profile] nebst, you got some mad skills, lady ♥

ALSO!! Check out these FIERCE LADY GAGA BARBIE DOLL MODS ...the little costumes! GLORIOUS.
kaiserkuchen: (Ron! I feel this urge every single day)
Bits of 2009, the Nearly Done Now Edition:
...first off, I gotta say that I have given up the idea of posting any pics of Copenhagen or assorted summer things I meant to do, so uh. ADD ME ON FACEBOOK if you haven't already, it's all nice and sorted with ~genius~ commentary, even. OR APPROVE MY FRIEND REQUEST AHEM AHEM YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE ;DD lol j/k take your time, dude ♥

That said, here be a commentated ~~List of Viennese restaurants~~ that Carmen and I (with assorted guest stars and other friends adding to our numbers randomly, of course) visited last year. I was talking to her about how things were waaaay back in the first semester when we weren't that close yet, and remembered that our friendship was basically built on lunch dates. Which we had weekly at the Coffee Day near the uni. Lolol oh how we've improved, to say the least!

VIENNESE NOMS 2009. Tried to add the restaurant links if possible for future refs and all that. )

AND IF YOU READ THROUGH ALL THAT, you now know why I hardly ever go clubbing: I spend all my money on food and eating out :Db And I DO NOT REGRET A THING ♥

...wow coding and typing this up took ages. THREE AM AGAIN, DAMN YOUUUUU.
kaiserkuchen: (SPN! Those Winchesters are heart-able)
I SHOULDN'T BE AWAKE NOW. And if I must be awake, I shouldn't be in front of the computer, but since I am, I might as well be productive and make a post.

It is still asstastically cold in Vienna (-13 degrees Celsius a few days ago when I WAS OUTSIDE, and -7 today WHILE I WAS OUTSIDE, TOO), but I still have errands to run tomorrow. The TOEFL Test registry place will hopefully be taking my money (ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY EUROS UGH THESE RAT BASTARDS) so that I can register to give this test a whirl come January 30th. Might as well see how much ass I can kick at it, nearly everyone I know was been skeptical why I want to do it, but seriously. I can say that I am basically a Native speaker of English and that it was my first language until I'm blue in the face, but unless you talk to me in person, you can't tell for sure just by looking at my stats on paper. I'm either an Austrian or Thai citizen, depending on where I am applying, and the subsequent fact that neither my ~technical~ mother or father tongue is English. Which is where the TOEFL test would come in! I bet the hardest part for me will be concentrating for FOUR CONSECUTIVE HOURS AHHHH THE HORROR.

Sent off some of the holiday mail at least (met up with Michelle and dragged her on my errands with me, ahhh she was so patient ♥), the second batch will be up up and awaaaaaaaay tomorrow! AND SPEAKING OF MAIL, [livejournal.com profile] laliandra's glorious package arrived in my mailbox today and I am the swankest girl who ever swanked now, HAH HAH ♥ LALEX I LOVE YOUUUU! I seriously look forward to wearing those fab red earrings, Lal, and I will be spicing up my Salzburg cowtown-time with the cute bag that is now my official EARRING AND SHINY THINGS transportation :DD.

HAVE SOME ~~LINKS OF AWESOME~~, since I need to kill some tabs again:

__ Top 100 Reuters Photos, Part I ...often heavy and graphic stuff, but worth seeing. Wonderful photography and striking images, which sounds kind of obvious/redudant, but whatever.
__ Castiel Picspam! ...and KABOOOM, we've veered right back into fandom. [livejournal.com profile] aesc has a talent for graphics (and fic. Oh man, her fic *_*), and this picspam is gorgeous. This Favorite Dean Clothing Moments from S4 picspam by [livejournal.com profile] bellanut is also full of the pretty <33.
__ Community picspam of 1.07 AKA ABED AS BATMAN!! ...I keep forgetting to mention here how completely crazy I am for this how and how much it makes me laugh, but it really is one of my favorite comedy series now and this episode is particularly full of massive win. ALSO: everyone needs to have seen the SPANISH RAP. I WANT TO BE A DISCO SPIDER, TOO.
__ PERFECT PERFECT BIG BANG THEORY CAST PICS ...that first one!! I am ridic charmed by Jim and Kaley doing Edward and Bella, I must admit (THE HAIR)! AND JOHNNY AS SUSAN BOYLE. That likeness, bwaaaa. Hope you see these, [livejournal.com profile] apple_scruffer!
__ THIS PRINCESS AND THE FROG SPAM PARTY POST hosted by [livejournal.com profile] halcyonjazz is well worth checking out. FIC! ICONS! ART! Delightful. And on the subject of awesome, [livejournal.com profile] mekosuchinae has been churning out adorable, sweet and sexy-brilliant Tiana & Naveen fic and I heartily recommend everything she writes. It's so good! This and this (!!!!!) one are also two TPaTF artworks on DevArt that I thought were fantaaastic. I FEEL LIKE AN EIGHT YEAR OLD GIRL AGAIN, EEEE DISNEY~~. And seeing the wedding outfits in actuality is even better than I expected. I love Tiana's lilypad gown SO DAMN MUCH.
kaiserkuchen: (SPN! Best FBI agent EVERRR)
And I am doing absolutely nothing for it, besides visiting Michelle and Elli for a bit later tonight. Can't say I really mind I guess, still have many more years in front of me to do the whole Halloween bash and dress-up thing where I don't have the niggling pressure of imminent BAKK2 thesis at the back of my head. Am basically at the 50 page mark now, with no more than three or four pages more to come if at all from some extra theory padding. I have been staring at it so long that I cannot feasibly tell how my prof will like it. I remain hopeful for a pass, first and foremost, though I admit that the embers of what used to be the fire of my nerd pride still hope for at least a 3 or MAYBE, TPTB willing a 2?

Have been existing in weird semi-work/semi-distraction limbo these past few days still, so here be another attempt at flushing some of my open tabs by posting them here:

MUUUSIC: I had heard a bunch of these Live Lounge covers seperately before, but I had no idea that they were from an entire series. Covers are always something I enjoy listening to, and these are pretty fantastic.
Lily Allen does The Kooks "Naive" ...Lily Allen's singing voice remains endlessly charming to me, and I love what she does with a song that I am already very fond of.
White Lies do Kanye West's "Love Lockdown" ...say what you will about the dude, but Kanye really has a flair for songs, and these songs lend themselves so well to being covered by others. (See also Exhibit A, Kris Allen and Heartless, ahem). The dude's voice is kind of strange, but it fits the song.
Jamelia does Linkin Park's "Numb" ...I admit to having been a massive LP fan back in the day, and I miiiiight still have some of their songs on my ipod ("Bleed it Out" has ridic lyrics but gets me pumped up like woah, ngl), so obviously I am not that much of a hard-sell to like this. Still! I think it's a fab version that might appeal to LP haters, too.
Lee Ryan does Foo Fighters "Best of You" ...I was thrown a bit a first to who this dude was, but it was the hot one from that one UK boyband! "Blue" or something like that. So on that factor I am kind of fond of this version, though NOTHING EVER can top the Dave Grohl vocals on the original ♥
The Fray doing Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" ........LAWWWWWL, just. Ahahaha. And still, the dude's voice is fantastic.
The Noisettes do The Killers "When We Were Young" ...This is by far my ~favorite~ of the batch, and I really like what they do with the song. It sounds so lovely with the female vocals, ahh.

Random lulz:
The gossip corners of the internet seem to be a-flutter with news of Anderson Cooper in India with his supposed boyfriend? ...first off, good for Andy and daaamn that hotel looks swank. And secondly: DAAAAAAAAAAMN the arms on those two. This is veering into Jared Padalecki at his beefiest category now! I am also again in awe of the sheer information seeking stalker-power</> that many denizens of the internet seems to possess. No wonder Anderson is off somewhere in India for his holiday.

A Very Potter Musical ...yes, yes... FIVE MILLION YEARS LATER THAN EVERYONE ELSE, I also finally get around to watching this. Am halfway through and it is amazingly random and somewhat amusing, and I can't stop clicking the next part to see what weirdness will happen next, so there is that. Also, Voldemort is kind of hot. As is Harry. Ahem.
kaiserkuchen: (Glee! Two good-looking Jews)
Today in a week, I should have my printed BAKK2 thesis in hand, ready to dump it at the secretary's office at the institute, because apparently my prof isn't in town yet. Am at 37 pages so far, two more of the interviews to analyze (or rather, summarize, man I am totally winging it), the conclusion and hypotheses and additional theories to add in the beginning to go! I hope it's gonna be good enough to pass, and maybe even get a 2 or something out of it. I really can't tell how she's gonna grade it, but ahh nothing I can do but get it finished in time eh?

But of course, I haven't spent the last few days solely working on my thesis like a good student would do, I have instead been trawling rec lists and reading oodles of Gleefic, as Puck & Rachel have kind of overtaken my brain and are sharing space with the overwhelming love I have for Kurt. So to spread the joy and distraction, here be some of the ones I really liked beyond the cut!
Thank god, there is decent Glee fic out there, woo! )

Some other worthy distractions:
The Fun Theory ...stolen from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] laulan and her wonderful "Awesome-up your Monday" posts, here be a link to what the good people at Volkswagen have been coming up with to make every day activities more fun. I ADORE THE PIANO STEPS LIKE WOAH.
FOOD GAWKER ...aka "WOULD YOU LIKE TO FEEL HUNGRY AND MAKE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE TO EAT ATM SEEM HORRENDOUSLY INADEQUATE?" If you answered: OF COURSE, well this site is perfect. Ahhh, the delicious looking fooooooooood~~
Accidental Dong ...it is kind of hilarious, okay?? I own up to my sometimes lamesauce sense of humor, though I take solace in still not finding fart/poop/puke jokes & humor funny :|
WHYYYYY ...SPEAKING OF DONGS, ugh 1) why is it 500$ and more importantly 2) WHY DOES IT HAVE MY NAME DD: Why can't there be better things named after meeee, bawww.

kaiserkuchen: (SPN! The ladies approve of this)
BUT!! In other, epic-ly delightful and stunning news-- [livejournal.com profile] laulan, I GOT YOUR MAIL!!!! HOLY FUCKING SHIT DUDE AHHH. Color me utterly, totally and relentless charmed and happy and over-joyed. So much awesome-- the Trader Joe's Choc Pudding that I am saving for a special occasion, and damn if the packaging is not simply retro-glorious beauty. Ahhh, I admit that I was always curious about Trader Joe schwag, and now I can find outtt! Eee! BUT THE MOST ULTIMATE WINNER OF EVERYTHING EVER IS THE PERSONALIZED DOMO-KUN THESIS COUNTDOWN ADVENT CALENDER. I MEAN!!! No wonder you were saying something about days. And lolol dude, you are almost making me look forward to the days passing so I can open a new box! I ALSO ADMIT, I BASICALLY TEARED UP WHEN I GOT IT, OH MY GOD one of the most sweetest things anyone has ever mailed me ♥ ♥ ♥ ILU FOREVER MY DARLINGGGGG! *TWIRLS IN GLEE*

Other than that, my life remains the same as always, though I went to uni today and apparently there are over a 1000 students who have barricaded themselves in the Audimax, and who have been doing so since the afternoon (I went there at ca. six thirty). Apparently they'll even be sleeping there overnight. It's going to be interesting to see if the Minister of Education will actually do something about their protest and their demands, though I must say I get why the people are protesting because seriously, it's like the rules and regulations of the universities change with each goddamn semester. And amongst other things, we do have a problem in Austria with all the Germans coming over to study who couldn't make it past the admissions/Numerus clausus back home and overload the courses and the resources. Ahhh.

Random ♥ links ♥ to round this entry off:
kaiserkuchen: (Tamaki! ...countdown to eyelasers 5 3 1!)
And I am slowly feeling that thrumming beat of OHFUCKOHFUCKOHFUCK that will hopefully spur me on to greatness, or at least a passable okay-ish grade by the end of this month. I have to get in done by the 1st of November (Sunday), get in printed on Monday, and as that takes 24 hours to bind and etc., I will then hand it in on Tuesday the 3rd, which Teach thankfully approved, though I just realized I typo'd the date in the email. Oh well. So far: I HAVE 13 PAGES. Of at least 50, but I think the hardest part is basically the theoretical part I am struggling through now. I hate writing these parts, all you're doing is regurgitating quotes and trying to wring some sort of a logical order out of them, all the while hoping you quoted correctly and are not committing indirect plagiarism and hoping the Prof doesn't notice you've been using the same three sources over and over again for one page. Ugh! TWO MORE WEEKS!!

Other than that I have been a winner in procrastination and time-wasting-- as two of the previous days were basically lost and spent in a stupor in front of the computer... man, I think I need to unplug the internet when I continue work tomorrow. WORST WORKER EVER I AM, that's for sure.

I do have some awesome links again though!

Things probably relevant to [livejournal.com profile] cheshire_tabby's interests:
"Twisted Princesses" ...basically this guy reworking the Disney princesses in ways that are creepy, scary and generally quite awesome. I like Mulan the most!
Fantastic "Lord of the Flies" illus ...got the link from [livejournal.com profile] wredwrat's LJ and I just loved the art. The cover is somehow supremely unsettling to me, lol wut.
ALLSAINTS IS SO EXPENSIVE BUT DAMN THIS COAT IS FINE ...seriously, it looks so damn swank and like the best damn trenchcoat ever ngggg the sexy, sexy detailing! The uneven edges! Also, THIS is also swoon-worthy. A double-breasted coat! The buttons! The almost suit-tails effect in the back! SIGHHHHHH ♥

Fashionistaaaa things:
Actually cute "vampire-inspired" jewelery ...well okay, it's a crocheted necklace, but still. I wouldn't wear it, but I'd strongly consider it for Halloween lol? Would make the perfect gift for some Twihard, I'm sure.
FFSkyer_nancy's Flickr photostream ...nabbed this link from [livejournal.com profile] bravecows and I simply adore how this girl also draws her outfits. So lovely and whimsical!

Supernatural vids:
A Charming Man by [livejournal.com profile] giandujakiss. Castiel-centric and ohhhh, how this makes the potential menace that Castiel had in early to mid-season 4 more present in my mind. I adore how tightly edited this vid is, in particular the sequences with Dean, Castiel and the Crossroads demon. And how the lyrics fit so damn well. Just noticed I still had the tab with this link still open lol, not that I haven't already downloaded it and watched it a kabillion times. Those of you who haven't should do so, asaaaap. So good!
Legion by [livejournal.com profile] sockkpuppett. A demon-POV-centric (Team Hell!) SPN vid set to a metal mash-up of Paramore's "Misery Business"? I would never have thought it, but it was pretty much AWESOME. And so fitting, given my still ongoing obsession with that damn song. Snappy editing here again, with some really smart moments and pretty neat, subtle effects.
Little Lion Man by [livejournal.com profile] killabeez. Featuring quite possibly one of the most addictive songs I have recently heard. It's one of the things I love about vids the most, getting introduced to these fantastic bands that I wouldn't ever have heard of before. Even if you aren't a SPN fan, I think the song itself is worth a listen to. That lead singer's voice! And of course, the BANJOSSSSS! And back to the vid-- oh holy crap, it's just a great depiction of the messy, intertwined relationship that our dear Winchesters have going on, and it especially shows that shoving blame on someone is a two-way game. The editing is nigh heartbreaking at times, gaah.

kaiserkuchen: (Rena! Mine is a BATSHIT INSANE laugh)
For I managed to write 1700 words on my thesis yesterday, have managed to fiddle with the formatting of everything to my satisfaction, and have managed to wring out 200-odd words before I head out for a day of helping Clemens pick out some fancy costume in the WINDY WINDY WASTELAND OF COLD AND DESPAIR that is Vienna right now, before toddling back home for dinner and awesome hospitality at [livejournal.com profile] cheshire_tabby's place again. MISS OLGA, I ADORE THAT WE LIVE SO CLOSE TO EACH OTHERRR ♥. Maybe if I'm lucky, I can come back and manage at least 500 words before I zonk out. I still have time, and I reckon if I manage to write at least 1000 words each day I would be in the green zone of at least 50 pages before the end of October.

Anyways, I think I better go for now-- but here be two awesome Star Trek fanworks that I have been adoring these past few days (as I am yearning for whatever I can to procrastinate between my written 100 word increments oh I am horrible, I know >_>;;)

Dr McCoy's flowchart for dealing with frequent sexual harassment by [livejournal.com profile] mangotrills

kaiserkuchen: (SPN! Judged and found wanting)
After nearly two weeks of blessed non-Sabrina-ness, she hath returned since a few days ago. And already I am being driven to heights of irritation from her conduct, and I guess there is also the residual annoyance of the state of things last week before cleaned them. The hairy and suspiciously be-liquided fridge, the grime-tastic state of the showers, you name it. And now the hair in the sink, and the presence what will no doubt be the usual scattering of what could be termed food rests and crumbs in the sink and surrounding areas, clogging up the drains. So I plucked up my reserves of indignation, and set to talk to her briefly about things.

And of course, all my cutting arguments, valid reasons and just pleas for sanitation became pale whispers and awkward stammerings when faced with her blank, unimpressed face. And of course, the bald-faced denial that I really should know how to deal with by now, but of course let go unchecked. How could she answer "what did you do to the fridge that caused it to look like that" with "well, I don't know what you're talking about. I clean it, too, and I must have overseen it, then." WELL DAMN, YOU "OVERSAW" STREAKS OF BROWN GOO? ENCRUSTED FAT OR WHATEVER THAT WAS HUGGING THE GRATES? YOU MUST BE BLIND, I GUESS THIS EXPLAINS EVERYTHING. So, all in all I guess that was another resounding failure in: Attempts to Negotiate with Slobs Part XIV-BILLIONTY, and I await what her next volley of filth will be. I saw that she has placed her own toothpaste on the counter, but still, mine remains ~*weirdly*~ moved from it's precise position every time I am in the bathroom after she's been in there. I think I need to hide my facewash or something, if this goes on. OH APATHY GOGGLES, PLEASE SWITCH ON AGAIN, I am feeling oddly all out of sorts because of this gaaaaaah I cannot have my own place too damn soon.

In other more pleasant news, am making slooooooow headway with the interview transcriptions, and hopefully will have them all done and at least a few pages of ACTUAL THESIS CONTENT by this Sunday! There is still time, I just have to remember that I finished my BAKK1 Thesis in basically two weeks and that managed to work out somehow (okay, that was also due to [livejournal.com profile] cheshire_tabby's mindblowing beta work mainly ♥). DEEP BREATHS.
Apparently I will also be out for a Girls Night Out with some friends of Wido tonight, we will be hitting up an Australian Pub, and I for one am intrigued. And already confused about how the best way for me to get home from that corner of town will be. UGH I HATE RUNNING AROUND TOWN ALONE AT NIGHT :///

Things that have been unbelievable in cheering me up and distracting me from my woes are the following YT clips, that I will be embedding behind the cut in all their glory.
