I SWEAR I WILL ACTUALLY POST SOON
In an act of SUPRISE!!kindness, Dad let me skive off work today! Well, if I did end up going I would have made a spectacular example for zombie!intern in action, what with the 1 1/2 hrs sleep but this was of course a welcome respite. Even if I highly suspect that Dad just wanted company because he has these few days off now. Bummed around the house a bit, played dog-paparazzo AND THEN SUCCEEDED IN CONVINCING DAD TO GO WATCH BATMAN!! Again. And GOD IT WAS STILL AWESOME ON THE SECOND VIEWING. All these details I could focus on like the Joker's individual tics! HARVEY DENT'S FACE (I BELIIEEEEEEEEEVE)! Rachel Dawes' amazing high-waisted wardrobe (I mean, seriously whaat)! How Eric Robert's/Sal Maroni's face makes me want to lol every time I see it! ...and just soak up the general feeling of SWEET SWEET GOTHAM CITY HAPPENINGS.
Best scenes of the movie for me are now firmly cemented as:
__the Harvey and Bruce mutual admiration society thing going on when Bruce and his prima donna date crash Harvey and Rachel's dinner. IT'S GUY LOVE BETWEEN TWO GUUUUUUUYS. Have already read one threesome fic featuring them, gimme more porn in that vein, plz! And seriously, I was just staring at their EARNEST FACES and giggling to myself in fannish tardery ♥
__the bit where Alfred tells the story about the bandit in Burma. I just love the way Michael Caine enunciates "...some men just want to watch the world burn", ahhh!
__I mean, all scenes featuring the Joker ever can be put here, but I have a particular heart clutching fondness for THE HOSPITAL SCENE!!1 Nurse outfit! SKIPPING! BOOOM TIME! and the scene with Batman and Joker in the interrogation room, before it all goes to hell and the moment where Batman kind of snaps. Now THAT was when the stupid raspy bat!voice sounded scary and kjhfaskjfsa the way Joker kept laughing even as Batman was whaling away at him? GAAAH.
__"MY DOGS ARE HUNGRYYY."
__The GNN?? clips of the vids the Joker sent in. Especially that first one with the poor sod who was I think the eventual hanged fake Batman?? (That also is a moment that scared the shit outta me. AGAIN. Totally forgot it would happen oops)
The Hong Kong bits, all action and skyline!! aside are now my favored bits for toilet breaks now though XDD. The BATPOD bits, now that was primo action ♥
And what made the whole experience even sweeter? Dad going "...so this was actually a very good movie. Huh. Tell me more about this Joker actor person". MUSIC TO MAH EARS DADDY XDD Seems like 4 days of intense badgering and hint-dropping was indeed worth it. NEED MOAR ICONS NOW.
...and hmm! It's half past midnight alread o shiiit okay sleep now.
