Gankutsuooooo (this is hard not too misspell)
Finished the last 14 eps today. OH GOD YES GOOD SIOFIHAFLFAKH.
1500baht well spent, much love for the characters, the art(wasn't as ARGHmyeyesareBLEEEDING trippy as I expected :(? Or maybe my eyes are just used to stuff like this. Eh?) and gah, everything about it...
Am not very coherant, because dammit it's 3AM again, but it was ♥ ♥ ♥ and I loved Albert and Franz and Franz' Big Gay Love for his great big doofus of a best friend. :D. How I *bawled* at the end of ep18. Franz you noble ass! Why did you have to diiie...D: The part when you realize he drugged Albert to take his place at the duel with the Count! Cue the "oh shiiiit, you didn't....Ohhhh shiiiiiit". And the utterly heartwrenching voice acting from both Franz and Albert's Seiyuus was just the final push over the okay-SOBBING NOW- Cliff of Dooom. But Albert grew as a person afterwards, so I guess Franz' death wasn't in vain...(Because of the VA I keep thinking "Furanzuu" everytime I type "Franz" -.-;;)
The Count was oh so smooth and the way his vengeance was carried out was so very stylish and cruely thought out...The design of Gankutsuo's symbol was really pretty and GAH I can't seem to write anything besides my very shallow impressions that consist of pretty! and ooh! :< ...The lack of school seems to have shutdown the yes I can analyse and interpret things-part of my brain. Along with my vocab. Argh am gonna hit the books tomorrow!
But, uh, great stuff indeed, and having Anna Sui design the costumes? Oh that's just worth 109275905cool points...
PS Why isn't google cooperating with me? Dun wanna read french gankutsuo pages--- *whine*
(The subtitles were ...fun again Maximilian=Macymelon etc. Really made it hard to feel the dramatic scenes sometimes "Oh Macymelon!" *snrk*)
Other News- Wanna go watch "Tom Yam Goong" Aka the thai boxing movie part2, eventhough it's sooo obvious they named it that way as to advertise the dish more/market the movie better overseas. But eh, whatever. The fight scenes will surely be cool and the huge wrestler guy looks interesting. Saw the premiere TV scoop where he just picked Mam Jokmok(Comedian who's also in the movie) and twirled him around. HUGE DUDE, there was like a meter height difference.
Ahh. Off to sleep now.
