LAST WEEK OF THESIS AHH

Today in a week, I should have my printed BAKK2 thesis in hand, ready to dump it at the secretary's office at the institute, because apparently my prof isn't in town yet. Am at 37 pages so far, two more of the interviews to analyze (or rather, summarize, man I am totally winging it), the conclusion and hypotheses and additional theories to add in the beginning to go! I hope it's gonna be good enough to pass, and maybe even get a 2 or something out of it. I really can't tell how she's gonna grade it, but ahh nothing I can do but get it finished in time eh?

But of course, I haven't spent the last few days solely working on my thesis like a good student would do, I have instead been trawling rec lists and reading oodles of Gleefic, as Puck & Rachel have kind of overtaken my brain and are sharing space with the overwhelming love I have for Kurt. So to spread the joy and distraction, here be some of the ones I really liked beyond the cut!

Puck/Kurt coda to 1x08 by aggybird. Puck's not the worst Jew ever. Yet. ...I am basically all pairings are go when it comes to Glee fic, and pairing Puck with Kurt, especially when Puck specifically sets out to be as "un-Jew" as possible is hilarious and wonderful. Also: Kurt's Dad! Bwaaah.

Had a Good Plan, Too Bad It Didn't Go Right by bergann. Nineteen years ago, a baby boy was expected to the newly married Hummels. ...how awesome it is that there are already 10k fics for Glee? And such well written ones that focus on Kurt (and Puck) and are all round great? I love the narration in this one.

Cinnamon Hearts and Slushies by Cakestar on FFNet. Now I know what you are all thinking-- The Pit of Voles?? But there are really a few gems to be found. Now this one has a bit of a twee title, and is one of these one-sentence fics, but it is cute enough and a pleasant Rachel/Puck read.

To Tempt Bad Luck by Dress without Sleeves on FFNet. This is really one of the more interesting things about Glee fic in general-- because there have been so relatively few eps so far, it's basically up to the authors to try and figure out believable backstories for the kids to have with one another, and this is a believable look at Rachel and Puck's. ALSO, the author is crazy prolific so far and my other real favorite of hers is the following fic.

Sin Tetas No Hay Paraiso by Dress without Sleeves. THIS FIC. Better learning through Spanish Telenovelas! Puck tutoring Rachel! Rachel's Dads! Puck's family! The other Glee kids! Seriously, this was just a delight.

Bah bah bah by ethrosdemon. So I basically read everything she writes because it is great and always has interesting insights on the characters, and this one is no different for Rachel. The way she sees her friendships with the other girls in Glee! Oh.

A Giddy Whirl by waldorph. Puck is a bad ass motherfucker. OH THIS FIC ♥ Totally cheered me up when I read it yesterday or the day before and I was really nearly as giddy as the title afterwards. A great mood-lifter, and I love the bits with Quinn and Finn, and how the Glee club does things like GO TO THE CHRISTMAS BALL TOGETHER, HAPPY SIGH.

The Ones Who Entertain by waldorph ...and here the companion piece where Kurt takes the girls shopping and makes them all pretty for the dance. IT MADE ME WANT TO GO SHOPPING TOO, augh! Also, the author is the same person who wrote the awesome Beautiful Minds AU-ish Kirk/Spock thing for Star Trek and imagine my surprise when it turned out to be a series! So go check that out, too if that is your thing.

waging wars to shake the poet by andbless_mybaby. Quinn is knocked up, his best friend is stumbling around like a well-intentioned zombie, and he has no business doing any of this with an innocent bystander, the obnoxious and disturbingly attractive Glee-tard snot who keep angling to get blasted by (not so) friendly fire. Wrong doesn’t even cover it, actually – the accurate term is fucked. ...now this is a bit different in tone from the other fics, and everyone is just that much cruder, that much harsher and assholish when they speak-- but that also rings true about highschool students, so I still enjoyed it.

A Complete History of Noah Puckerman, Abridged by them0rgue. “Born with it?” Rachel pauses, meeting Puck’s gaze. “Let me tell you a few things about Noah Puckerman.” Now this is more gen than anything, but still a really good backstory for Puck, and after all this fic I think I have basically made it my personal canon that they both used to know each other from JCC. Lima ain't that big of a town anyways, right?

HAAAAAAAH! And now that I have made this post I can finally close all these open tabs, score! Enjoy the reading, mah ladiesssss ♥
