F-f-finally!

UGH WORK, STOP GETTING IN THE WAY OF MY INTERNET FUN TIMES (THIRTY CALLS AN HOUR. EVERYTHING IS HORRIBLE). So uh, dreadfully sorry about the immense delay between saying that I would make this post and actually doing so!

Without further ado, the high-res versions of my [livejournal.com profile] yuletart 2010 The Hunger Games art for [livejournal.com profile] dualbunny and a mental exercise in thinking up merchandise, Capitol-style: a paper doll version of Katniss Everdeen and three of her canon and ~fashionable fitting outfits~.

...the 1195x842 version!

And if that's not big enough for you, here be the 1512x1065 original-size one I worked on.

I still remain really pleased with this and the reception it's gotten (SERIOUSLY skajfhjkahf!! My glee cannot be adequately and textually rendered ahhhh!). Yuletart seems to be one of those challenges that really seem to get my creative juices flowing and I look forward to joining up again this winter ♥.

Having read the books I can finally look at this!

And it is lovely! Also - yay, your Katniss has the right skin colour! (She's far too pale on the cover of my copy of The Hunger Games. Which annoyed me.)

\o/ for you!

Hee, now that's what I call good timing! And I am glad you liked it--- her skin tone was actually something I spent some time squinting at my monitor and anguishing about getting right (another detail I wanted: THICK EYEBROWS YESSSS). I also think we had the same cover and yeah, Katniss there also just looked all of twelve to me, tbqh.

<33333!

Oh my GOD, Kaz, there are no words for how much I am wishing for a really good high res printer right now.

I AM STILL SO HEARTEYED ABOUT THIS, BB <3

AWWWW YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU :DD

I realized at some point that in my glee for all the fiddly details, I had made certain bits of the dolls not so cutting-out friendly... but then I decided to handwave it all away. Ahem. THE CAPITOL HAS SPECIAL FIDDLY PAPER-DOLL CUTTING OUT TECH and I was just being extra ~accurate, yanno ;DD

PS I have an early shift tomorrow and will try and get that reply done! Mostly it is taking so long because your Sherlock rec started me on somewhat of a light binge besides my current Hawaii 5-0 reading and I also fell into the never-ending hole of SGA AUs for a bit again (THERE'S ONE WHERE JOHN'S A BAKER and I was hungry while I was reading, ahhhh such exquisite torture)

I love this! I don't know the fandom, but I do so love the outfits.

Thank youuuu! Drawing pretty girls and dresses and using far too many bright colors is something that never fails to get my spirits up :DD

(I can really recommend the books if you enjoyed Battle Royale though!)

I LOVE PAPER DOLLS :D I'm not at all familiar with this fandom but I love the costume designs and the various accessories (shoes! tiara! hair!) you added :D

The books are pretty damn addictive and you plow through them quite quickly in order to find out just WHATHAPPENSNEXTAHHHHH, I have to confess :D

And yayyyy, I'm happy you liked <3333! I was thinking about all the Sailor Moon paper dolls I used to love to play with back when I was younger as I was drawing this, ngl.
