I have met the ULTIMATE cat lady today
And her name was Linda. And not inasmuch a cat lady in terms of social recluse type old lady that shuts herself in her tiny apartment with a swarm of catses, but Lady who has cats and is really quite incredibly awesome. First off, to fulfill the cat criteria-- apparently (as per Ma's telling, as the two know each other from some C'mai brunch whatever) Linda is a successful Oriental Longhair cat breeder, and is very jet-set with traveling to and fro SE Asia and god knows where else to compete in various shows with some of her TEN cats. Apparently she even hit the world rankings at one point? Yet that is not enough, it seems, as she does Pilates on the side and is about to start an instructors course so she can teach, dances and teaches Salsa and used to make and source her own jewelery (gemology course absolver). Plus the fact that she holds a PhD. in Marine Biology and used to lecture on Forensic Sciences in med school when she used to live in the states aaand apparently freelances a bit for the Chiang Mai uni here, too.
...I admit, I was goggling quiiiite a bit after I heard this for the first time. Talk about an accomplished life so far! And whilst we all had lunch together she was great fun to talk to, not snobby or anything at all and we got to see her GIGANTIC HOUSE afterwards and all her kitties! Man, that house and the gardens are so big she actually has a whole 'nother seperate guest house that she converted into a dance floor. And GEESE in the gardens. To add more BZWUH factor, the house she lives in and rents now used to belong to Chavalit's wife (our good ol' ex vice-minister! Man those were the nineties I guess?)! Prime real estate lolll
SO IN CONCLUSION I WANT TO BE COOL LIKE HER WHEN I'M THAT OLD (...which isn't really old, she can't be more than her late 50s??)

ALSO in more Harry Potter news I have made the mistake of reading too many reaction posts and generally glutting myself on them so that my BRAINMEATS are mushier than before and I will limit myself to these few bullet points
_ I have had time to get over the names of the next gen kidses in the epilogue of WAFF, and okay Scorpius Malfoy (*snigggger*) does make sense in the grand Black naming tradition of the constellations, and yes yes Albus Severus Potter can grow on you ...I GUESS. But the whole naming your kids after your Ma and Dad and with the whole lookalike!factor, especially with Ginny's red hair was kinda creepy. And the amount of times Harry compared Ginny with his Ma... oedipal, much?
_ I admit that I don't really hate Ginny per se, the fact just is that the way she is presented in the books? And as Harry's love interest? FUCKING BORING! Ron and Hermione, I can totally get behind, Bill and Fleur, faaantastic and so on but H/G was kinda ehh. YOU SHOULDVE DONE IT WITH LUNA MAN. Trippy sex would've awaited you or something!
_ LOVED the Malfoy family love! Sticking together and oh Lucius without your wand and Narcissa you so fierce and DRACO you're such a fucking coward I love you I love you and so not suave and cool oh I love you for it XDD
_ Trio interaction was faaantastic and lovely and shit perfect platonic OT3 for reals~~
_ I was blown away by Dumbledore's backstory. And the subsequent 'tarnish' of sorts on what used to be sparkly sparkly kindly grandpa Dumbly. ALSO: GELLERT GRINDELWALD
_ GOAT PATRONUS! DOE PATRONUS!!! (O Snape D:)
_ SO MUCH BADASSERY FROM CHARACTERS I LOVE AND SOME I DID NOT EXPECT: NEVILLE! PERCYYYYYY (HE CAME BAAAACK)! MOLLY WEASLEY jeebus christ that was cool! UNDERGROUND RADIO WITH LEE JORDAN! MINISTRY OF MAGIC INFILTRATION! RANDOM RETURNS OF MINOR CHARACTERS! :Db
_ CRIED like a crying thing at certain parts: HEDWIG IS DEAD ;_;, MOODY DEAD ;_;, REGULUS BACKSTORY AND KREACHER ;________;, DOBBY DEAD AAAAAH I NEVER EXPECTED THESE TEARS ;__;, trio fight in woods ;_;, I CRIED ABOUT THE DAMN BLIND DRAGON IN GRINGOTTS TOO OKAY D:, SNAAAAAAAAPE!!!!!!!! ;___________________;, HARRY DECIDES TO DIE (for like one chapter okaaay) AND SEES THE GHOSTS OF HIS PARENTS AND MOONY AND SIRIUS and Remus actually seems happier here like this than with Tonks and ;__;, FRED AND THE WAY HE DIED, THE BIT WITH 'Harry and Snape and Voldemort' all being lost boys and Hogwarts actually their only home and like stuff LIKE THAT.
_ LOL AT EPILOGUE: 'Draco's receding hairline' ahahahah OH MAN
_ This is SO NOT REALLY a children's book anymore at parts ahhh~

I actually always figured one of the twinses had to die in book 7-- they couldnt kill any of the other Weasleys: bill already had his lifeshattering thing in book 6, charlie is never there so we wouldnt really care about him, percy was AWOL for so long, no way in hell JKR would break up the trio and kill Ron and Ginny as Harry's looooove urgh interest couldnt die cause then life would just keep on SHITTING on dear Harold J. Potter. SO. But still, Fredddddddddie D:
