Movies! And such.
Oct. 1st, 2008 01:34 amTRUE FACT: TROPIC THUNDER IS SO FUCKING HILARIOUS AND AWESOME. And even when dubbed in German! Oh man, the entire theater was simply cracking up every five minutes and I was so far beyond laughing normally, I bypassed 'laughing like a crazy person' and touched down at 'braying like a donkey', so inelegant but oh it was so much fun ♥ ♥. I loved the fake trailers, I loved the entire freaking cast, the gags and INSANITY, I loved the beautiful beautiful surroundings (they shot in Hawaii, right), I loved all the cameos and even THAT SPECIAL ONE and jdkjkjfsa. I seriously need some DVDs of Kirk Lazarus's uh, oeuvre now. Also: PANDA HAT!
And speaking of movies, I managed to watch Die Hard 4.0 and Escape from New York when I was still in BKK and these two are proof of how entertaining and just plain kick-ass a good action movie can be. John McClane needs so introduction and I was surprised that Bruce Willis still manages to kick an INSANE amount of ass even in this fourth installment. AND THE ACTION IS SO BALLS TO THE WALL CRAZY. BATSHIT CRAZY. The young hacker dude was also cute and had a lot of chemistry with McClane and I totally admit that once I watched the movie I went online and checked out some ahem fic, too. Watching Escape from New York on the other hand is an exercise in how almost ridiculous the action movies of yesteryear can seem (1981!!), but oh if Kurt Russel isn't surprisingly insanely hot and the ultimate badass as Snake Plissken (EYE PATCHHHHHHHH). I mean, yowzaaaaaaaa ♥! And when it's said that Solid Snake from MGS is based of this character, they really mean it. Lol never figured the sheer extent of it and kjahsfjfs hearing Kurt Russel do the Snake-growly thing, heeeekjafhfam. The plot of the movie was equally craaaaaaaazy though, and because of it, super fun watching :Dbb.
In conclusion-- HOLY SHIT RUPERT GRINT GOT HOT(TER). I have absolutely no interest in seeing whatever Emma Thompson gets up to after the HP movies, I might check out DanRad's stuff, but it is Rupert who always seems to get the interesting movie roles now. And I totally loved Driving Lessons, I admit! TREEFAAAAAAAACE!
Ugh am so tired right now, will comment on posts and comments I meant to do earlier when I awake from zonking out laterssssssssss :DD
