Materialism is fuuuun PART 2
Mar. 19th, 2006 09:55 pmWent to the 88.5FMx manga thing again today- and Lo and Behold today was the correct date.
...but damn, how the place was PACKED and the heat was sweltering... Wasn't as much dojin nor merchandise as I hoped, and the "manga shopping" thing turned out to be 5% discount- something over which I'm not about to line up for 20minutes for!
There was Gashapon, irresistable as always~. Bought two coins for Naruto keychains(like I haven't enough already shuuush) and one for Gundam Seed(HEINE)... and got my default charas of Sasuke/Kakashi and Meer. D'oh ;_;
Managed to find the only dojin booth and get my hands on this utterly beautiful FMA dojinshi(original!) called "sink. slow-down, slow-down" by Yakumo Izumi/GD-Mechano Circle. Is apparently a very well known and sought after circle, so whooho for me I guess... The art is delightfully wispy/sketchy and there's not much text (that I couldn't have read anyhow). Of course, the smut is hot, too- Roy/Ed in his office, hee :3
Wanted to get some Naruto dojin too, but the lady said that everything got sold out at 10am already... and here I thought I was making good time by being there at twelve, since this event wasn't as "prestigious"/well known as like Comiket(PART 2 IN MAY 28/5 :DD)...
There was also a lot of online game activities= blah BORRRING, so I went to have this utterly brilliant and fucking tasty japanese lunch at this place called "Hyou tai". SO GOOOOOD~~
Met up w Ginger and did another round before heading back to WTC to check out Kinokuniya and the stationary store. Flipped through Bleach:SOULS and Salty Dog3 and OMG *COVETS COVETS* XDDD SO pretty so hot so kahfklhfJLJLASJ'LALD
Scored a Gwendal von Walde keychain(SO CUTE ♥) at the stationary place+ copic brush pen AAAAAAND Ginger introduced me to what is possibly the MOST FABULOUS manga store in the whole of thailand! Called "oh! anime"- it's genially designed spacewise! The manga, and there is a heck of a lot, from the floor to ceiling, is clearly sorted out- no stooping and bending over or craning to get a look at title XY like usual~ Also, all the major and most of the minor publishing houses are featured and ahhhhhh ♥ it's enough to bring a fangirl's heart in joyous rapture~
(Bought book 5 of teh football on crack manga by Gotsubo Ryuji, DEVIL MAY CRY 3 MANGA!! volume 1&2 and Azumanga Daioh)
...if only all weekends could be like this ♥
