kaiserkuchen: (Oh yeah baby~)
...it must be said that the buffet at the Grand Hyatt Erawan is a thing of exquisite beauty. Even if Dad and his colleague(who was really cool, heh) scoffed at it as chefs are wont to do, I had a blast stuffing myself with tasty treats today ♥.
The appetizer (o god the maguro sashimi was so fresh and the ways they
made the smoked salmon! The giant NZ mussels!) and dessert sections were especially great- huge chocolate fountain FTW (and NY cheesecake! 6 flavors of ice cream! Sticky rice w/ mango! A zillion other delicious desserts!)

The Erawan is also quite beautiful from the coffeeshop perspective, all white colonial-style pillars and large windows letting the sunlight filter through. Add the (weirdly enough fake)trees and 'waterways' that dot the extended lobby/lounge area and you get a very relaxing atmosphere...perfect for a ...shall we say extended lunch. :)

Apparently the Four Seasons has the best Sunday Brunch Buffet, so here's hoping that's next on Fancy Food Places Dad Takes Me To, Yay! ...eventhough it does cost 1500 baht/person. Ahh. Well, am gonna be shipped off to Uni-life soon, so I might as well enjoy good food whilst I still can, eh?
