My friends and I had like, assigned each and every one of us a Gundam Wing character and we literally had NICKNAMES. I was Duo so like, my best friend called me Maxwell all the time, it was really embarrasing but I kind of miss those days. Also yeah, early Gundam Wing is 1x3/3x1 up the wazoo, like when Trowa revamps Heavyarms so that Heero can use it during the Antarctica duel with Zechs. And who can forget that death hurts like hell! And like, I keep imagining that in the future Duo takes Wufei out to hamburger joints and Wufei is like KISAMA WTF IS THIS FOOD.

I love that bit in the anime where like, the Axis powers are on the deserted beach and they turn and AUSTRIA HAS BEEN PLAYING THE PIANO THE ENTIRE TIME it cracks me up so hard. I want Germany to be my boyfriend, that's why I feel like I pair him up with so many people. Russia/China is like interesting as a mental exercise but ugh I actually don't like Russia much, and WHAT ELSE IS UK/HK GOOD FOR BUT TRAUMATIZING MOLESTING.
There was this great fic of the Italy bros as bamf mafia kids. It would totally work. I think Reborn would approve of S. Italy. Also I think Varia and Prussia would be instant BFF.
