TV and the creeping spectre of Academia

kaiserkuchenMy gratitude for TV-dome.net will possibly never end, for it is glorious and lets poor non-torrenting me actually have a chance to keep up with all the awesome shows starting up again now.
Ergo, here be some random thoughts on the following:
- EEEEEEEEEEEEEEETS BACK!! AHHHHHH FINALLY
- I love the new title card, and huh, finally a switch to a white backdrop? All the better to make the blood in the water look even creepier, I suppose!
- I was surprised at how much I loved the way Lucifer was slowly but surely narrowing down on Nick/his vessel. The bits where he'd wake up with phantom blood in the manner of his wife's death, the blood flowing out of the crib with the cries of an invisible baby audible and then the ultimate move of using his dead wife's form to talk with him were gloriously creepy and unsettling and awesome. I look forward to seeing more of Lucifer in this vessel!
- The fangirl appearance wasn't as squicky to watch as I was afraid, in fact, it was pretty hilarious-- though seriously, how could Jensen Ackles FUCKING FAAAAAAAAAACE as Dean Winchester be 'so not what (you) expected'?? The whole bit with her not stopping the Sam-chest fondling was also funny <33
- I forgot that I could stream the ep so I was spoilered in advance for the whole Bobby-Demon thing, still, JP's acting in that scene where Sam was supposedly cut-off was pretty heart-wrenching... THAT FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE
- Also, reading other people's episode reactions before watching it myself means that I have words repeating themselves in my brain at inopportune moments- like the chorus of IT'S A BREAK-UP SCENE :((( during that last conversation between the boys. BOYSSSSS :((
- I really, really and tremendously hope that the whole angel condom thing will mean that there will be an episode or at least scenes with Dean-as-Michael *_* I'm quite curious as to what kind of personality they'll be giving him, and thus how Jensen will act it out. ANTICIPAAAAAATION ♥
- I continue to really and honestly love most of this show, and there were many times where I actually had to kind of shove my hand in my mouth to damper the squee that was threatening to burst forth (it was laaaaaaaaaaaaate at night, ahem)
- The Golddigger scene! That bit in the end were Mr. Schu is all grabby with Finn lol I admit, my vile slasher heart went DOKI-DOKI ...even if I actually ship Finn/Rachel. Most of the time. The urge for dirty student/teacher porn must be suppressed lol
- Emma's outfits continue to delight and give me strong urges to go shopping and maybe do flippy things with my hair, too
- The assembly performance thankfully went over snappily enough as not to trigger my embarrassment squick, thanks to being distracted by their hilarious over the top sexy dancing
- WHY IS FINN'S STUPID FACE SO ATTRACTIVE TO ME
- The casual fuckshittery from the other kids that makes up parts of Rachel's school day make me kind of sad AND FINN BETTER GET HIS DAMN ACT TOGETHER ahhhhhhh my heart was breaking for poor Rachel
- Even though I totally squeed at the Mr. Schu and Emma scene after school (I was ridiculously holding my breath when he did the nose poke thing), I honestly feel a bit uncomfortable at how one-dimensional and crazy shrewish his wife is being shown acting, and especially after the whole THE BABY WAS A LIE reveal. There has to be a reason they married in the first place, and I mean, we get to see that Will is not a paragon of saintliness himself, but it is still very unequally depicted. I was really happy at the speech Coach Ken made to Emma though, and that she went with him in the end. Maybe something nice can come out of that, because even if the sparks are felt with Will, I honestly have difficulties rooting for adultery :|
- AGAIN: CRAZY ANTICIPATION for the next eps, and I want moaaaaaaaar musical numbers ♥
AND NOW FOR ~*BORINGCAKES ACADEMIA*~. Do you guys remember me posting about my BAKK2 bachelors thesis that I was writing about young women and blogging, and asked if I could interview a few of you? Some of you guys offered, and I guess I am now asking if you still feel like doing it, because I should slowly get my shit into gear now. LESS THAN A MONTH AND I HAVEN'T WRITTEN ANYTHING YET GO ME. Ahem. So, my plan is to get some, or most of the interviews done by this week or the next. The best way to do this would be per skype, my username there is the same as here, barring that you can search for me through my gmail account, which would be shaz.[mylastname]@gmail.com. We'd have to fiddle with the timezone a bit, am currently on GMT +7:00.
