Okay okay GLEE. So, I haven't watched any Glee at all this season, because when it first started up again I was so busy that I had to decide which tv shows were absolutely essential to my life that I needed to give up time from homework to actually watch them annnnd... Glee was not one of those shows. And then nobody's really been saying much about this season, and my roommate's just been kind of "meh" about it, so now there are however many episodes and I haven't seen a single one, because now I'm at that point where it's like it would be actual work to get caught up on it.
Unfortunately this leaves me in a rather odd place so far as my impressions of Glee this season, because all I know is:
- they did a Rocky Horror episode (which was really just kind of strange and probably missed the entire point of Rocky Horror, or at least according to Hank Green) - Kurt was kiss-accosted by some jock from the football team (WHO SADLY WAS NOT PUCK, APPARENTLY, grarr) - DARREN CRISS (how is the fantastic nerdiness of AVPM somehow suddenly colliding with mainstream pop culture?)
So when I clicked on the video you linked to and saw Darren Criss actually singing and it was super cute I was just like, "...NYAURGH." Which is not a very explanatory reaction, but I love Darren Criss and I love Chris Colfer and Puck's grumpy face made me lol, even though I had no idea what its backstory was, and so I filled with (brace yourself) GLEE, and now I suddenly feel bad for not watching any of this season and that! That is the cause of my NYAURGH reaction.
And this is a really long comment, so I'm not really sure why I've babbled on this much about it, but-- that video was adorable, which is saying something, since I hate that song (mostly because it gets stuck in my head for HOURS). And now I feel guilty for not watching Glee. So my question to you, so that I can have another opinion besides my roommate's, is as follows: Should I be feeling guilty for not watching Glee? Has this season been secretly good and not full of terrible pacing issues and out-of-character actions? Should I perhaps try to get caught up with this season once winter break rolls around?
