kaiserkuchenI am still giddy yet vaguely tired, so I suppose it is time to get back into the posting groooove (and hope that Kat's com starts working again?? Or that DOOM has passed?? ahhh).
Watched 'Hairspray' with Miss Olga today and I must say I had not expected it to be such a HAPPY MOVIE. I mean, I knew going in that it was upbeat, but JEEBUS CHRIST IT WAS LIKE A DIRECT INJECTION OF CRACK AND GLEEEEEEE. Total stalwart in my future DVD collection, yes yes. And a total moodlifter, I had a grin throughout most of the movie... except for like the last half hour maybe, as the results of drinking a liter of Coke made for a very squirmy wait for the last musical number to be done >_>;; (and to think I nearly ordered the 1.5l one ahaha o nooes).
Afterwards I even managed to clear the large lump of stuff away from my floor thanks to Olga stopping by afterwards, which really proves that I need people sitting in my room to actually make me productive. WAS IT GUILT OVERRIDING LAZINESS?? Had gotten a bit used to just stepping over the pile, I suppose! TOMORROW'S GOAL: SWEEPING?? O snap my days are truly fascinating .__.;;

Back from Paris since yesterday evening! Ahh belle Paris! I can with full confidence say that it was an absolutely fabulous time and we ate well(SO WELL), the weather was in our favor and we got to see so much! A simply beautiful city~ ♥
Spent last night also uploading the 500 odd pics I made with my camera(go go 1GB memory card!) and then discovering that my C:// only had 150MB free memory space left, which lead to a quick bout of quietly freaking out before realizing that I still have 30GB left in D://, where I promptly shoved off my manga and dojinshi folder and my uni eLearning crap. Still am a bit wary of moving my music folders there—would it mean that my iTunes connection would have to be moved, too? Or could it all still work out? All my other folders aren’t that big in comparison… Wish I sprang for a 120GB HDD when I was buying my laptop. And looking at my sticker with the stats it says that mine has 80GB but on the Arbeitsplatz it only shows a 30-30 GB division… where did the other 20GB go? Damn I wish I weren’t such a computer noob sometimes >_>;;
Today was also a day of calling up people(Mom’s birthdaaaay ♥ ♥ ♥) and catching up and then seeing how my phone credit sank from 15 euros to 4 ahaaaa… Well in all fairness I did spend 37 minutes on the phone with Carmen, and that has to cost. Hope I can get the new Handy-Vertrag done with Dad still in Vienna!

Nothing much happened today, except for a quick grocery run to Merkur in Mittersill followed by visiting Oma’s younger sis who lives there too. Cue Dad telling the same stories aaaaaaaall over again and showing the same pics of the house and and and. Weather got all cold again later and I was woozy and tired and vaguely cranky the whole day anyways. Got phonecalls from Michi and Frank!!! though, which were pleasant surprises~
And after mentioning the subject of the Handy-Vertrag to Dad again he suddenly doesn’t seem so happy with it and aaah, I can already see this not happening. Ahh how some things will never change :/

One more day until internet! Or rather, 5 more hours until I should be getting up so that we can catch our train later in the morning and I am still awake and typing this. Was rereading Basingstoke’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer fic ‘Big Rock Candy Mountain’, which is a kind of AU/wishverse thing based on the assumption that Andrew(one of the nerd trio in later seasons) gets turned into a vampire early on season 2 or so? and what changes that brings, and at the end of the 300k odd fic never fails to make me uncomfortable like heck and all vaguely teary-eyed at the outcome. GAHH. Had to even that out by reading some schmoopy Due South fic, lol.
Other than that I managed to learn two more skills today: How to fold an origami swan(…though I think I have already forgotten half of it already) and how to play Canasta. Even if the latter was kind of sucky, but I blame first-game bad mojo on that~ Actually this summer has been quite educational so far, I mean, I have gotten to shoot a hunting rifle now and finally learned how to mix cards and of course, eating things like snails in Paris and seeing all these new things. Not bad, not bad :Db
