kaiserkuchen: (Shaun of the Dead! Just kill me now)
I seem to have fallen into that same old trap of living life in such a chillax way that I a) completely lose track of time passing (see also: mistaking last Saturday for Friday and nearly missing a Skype date with Carmen) and b) thus completely failed at posting. A few things have changed since I last posted! Bangkok is not so much with the distressing FIRE FIRE FIRE now and the quick trip Dad and I made to town today was even filled with traffic, so it was almost like everything is somewhat back to normal again. He's back to work tomorrow, and I look forward to what tales he has to tell then (apparently back when Shit Was Going Down, some stray gunfire even hit the hotel-- like way up in the 32nd floor even. How the fuck some people were aiming is clearly not the question one is supposed to ask). I am torn between just ignoring Current Affairs for a while now, though I did like the fact that over 4,000 Bangkokians showed up to help clean the streets of the worst-affected areas downtown. It was totally heartwarming viewing, ngl, especially as Bangkokians often get a bad rep that is lobbed at capital city residents (though sometimes not exactly undeserved) for being selfish and occupied with their own problems over such community activities.
Still, I feel the need to link this vid as a reminder to myself as well just how utterly atrocious the militant Red leaders were (and how awful Thaksin is, which is like a given though). One is still in hiding, afaik, and may he be smoked out like the filthy rat he is. "Bangkok Ablaze"-- it even has English subs, so that you may be horrified as well!

I will try to make either a long overdue picsss post or a TV/book/fanfic rec post soon, because if there is something I have been doing a lot of, it has been watching TV and reading (fic or otherwise). And tweeting, actually. Having a handheld mobile does wonders for my usage of Twitter, as it is perfect for those times when TV is boring me, but I am far too lazy to actually get out of my fantastically comfortable chair, walk up the stairs and switch on the computer.

Another thing that I have started is my BB art, which of course is due as a rough draft on the 1st of June. Lolol oh didn't I want to start earlier this time? Hee, oh well~~
kaiserkuchen: (LOL! BRB CRYING FOREVER)
Seriously, I think I have cumulatively spent about 22 hours asleep this weekend. And it was glorious. Saturday was especially spent in a flashback to high school manner-- zonked out from 3AM-3PM lol, don't ask why I was still awake until three though. Of course, this meant I basically dropped everything else, barely got anything done but bothering the dogs, bothering Dad, watching crappy TV and eating delicious food-- but all in all, I think it was worth it. With these batteries charged, I'll hopefully be more in the swing of things now!

DAY THREE @ INTERNSHIP:
I think asking you guys for spam was the magical nudge I needed for them to finally give me shit to do-- as I was about to reply to some mail ([livejournal.com profile] laulan, [livejournal.com profile] chesire_tabby-- I WILL SO GET BACK TO YOU GUYSSS) I got to work on another project! I had to type up a product introduction/explanation text that expanded a bit on the virtues that were explained in the product factsheet. This was some famous brand's newly formulated baby/toddler milk formula, and it apparently filled with sunshine and rainbow dust, all the best to "optimize the miracle of learning in your young child's life". I had to do some googling about what foodstuffs normally contained the magical ingredients used in the formula, and what fun diseases you could have if you didn't get enough of these nutrients.

FUN FACTS: Did you know that our brain is apparently made out of 60% fat? Or that if you'd stretch out all the nerves in your brain in one straight line, it'd be 75 kilometers long? Well that's what the internet told me! Shame I didn't get to use it, but I gladly proceeded to work this into every conversation I had with RL people that day lolol.

Anyways, this wasn't supposed to be a really hard assignment to do, but of course I am sometimes blindingly stupid, and didn't really get enough sleep the previous night (note to self, 5 hours is okay, FOUR AND A HALF SCREWS YOU). I had two cups of coffee for breakfast at 7AM, which served me fine for the part of the morning where I was still waiting around for people to come to the office and give me shit to do (aka 9-11AM), but damn if the caffeine didn't just exit my system like a thunderclap the moment I fired up that word document. It was almost hilarious, I couldn't even focus on the screen, everything was flashing, my eyes were that heavy. It felt like I was almost high lolol thankfully it was almost lunch-time, so I basically excused myself off alone. Scarfed down a middling meal at the food court and followed that up with a large cafe latte with two espresso shots and 5 packets of sugar to actually make it palatable and we were back in business. I wonder how my super liked that article? Will find out soon I guess, though I hope I won't have to correct it as much as the cosmetics one. Turns out that she told me I could freestyle the translation/tone, but neglected to mention that the client wanted certain key phrases repeated EVERY DAMN PARAGRAPH, and I unknowingly always switched things up a bit because I thought that would make for boring reading. It was again a faintly amusing process of back and forth, her correcting it and making me correct her grammar in turn and rinse and repeat. Oh well, now I've internalized it for sure though. I think I'm even getting to go to the press con/product launch event for it tomorrow too, "white dress-code" ooh err, better go pack my stuff now.

OVER AND OUT FOR NOW, BBs ♥

OH AND CHECK OUT THIS COVER OF KANYE WEST'S "HEARTLESS" Kris Allen, my my my :O
kaiserkuchen: (SPN! All the way down from heaven (C))
Query: What have I done this weekend, besides be online and go for a delicious fish dinner at Umar Fisch at the Naschmarkt with Carmen (an occasion to dress-up and leave the dorm, wooo lolol)?
Answer: NOT MUCH AT ALL.

Nevertheless, I am slowly working my way up to something at least, have finally set up my shiny new 500GB external hard drive (supposedly only for my ~entertainment purposes~ uhuhu), and promptly discovered that the same problem appears there that when I open my vids file WINDOWS EXPLORER FUCKING FREEZES AND CRASHES in like FIVE FUCKING SECONDS. The only way I can access it/delete stuff is through fiddling with the 'Open: File' function on VLC when I want to watch vids. AAAAUGH why does this happen and how can I fix it?? Ugh so irritating :// Doing some roundabout moving and then deleting of some TV series eps on C:// though, maybe this'll free up the old laptop? TIDUS DEAR DO NOT BE AFRAID.

Have some links to pretty awesome things (multifandom) again:
_"GLEE" extended promo ...This looks like a pretty fun show! And it uses "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey, yesssssssssssssss. Quarterback dude and Glee Teacher dude also look adorable. I really hope my new streaming site BFF Tv-Dome has it next week!
_EPIC in-progress APH vid ...I keep forgetting to talk about it here, but I've been pretty much silently stalking about Hetalia fandom for a while now, mainly because of the fantastic output of great art (taking to admittedly cutesy original art to such awesome levels) and because reading the [livejournal.com profile] all_he_ever AU universe fic keeps blowing my mind in new and interesting ways. And this vid is just unbelievably well done, even in sketchy-ass form. THE ART. The way the characters are drawn! And the way the song totally crawls into your brain and makes itself at home there. FFF YEAH (does anybody have the mp3, by any chance??)
_JDM on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson ...two delightful men, being funny and saucy with each other (their voicessss)! JDM IS SO HOT, jeebus christ, this cannot be said enough. The bird story! THE BIT AT THE END! AHHH ♥
_The Venetian Carnival page of a gorgeous travel photo blog ...Carmen sent me this link and I am using it as ~SPN BB inspiration~. And seriously, check out the other galleries--THE ITALY PAGES AHHH
_Lykke Li- "I'm Good, I'm Gone (acoustic version)" ...oh my godddd, this version. Is gorgeous and kjakjafhkj ahhh LISTEN TO IT.
_NARNIA FIC THAT WILL EAT YOUR LIFE ...and you will love every minute of it. The world-building in all of this 'verse is exquisite and I love the author's versions of the scarily battle-tested and competent Pevensie siblings (Especially Peter. YOU BORDELINE CRAZYCAKE ♥) and the epic plots that are full of interesting little nuances and things like ACTUAL MILITARY STRATEGY and skjfdkja. I guess this is where I admit that I spent Saturday rereading my way through this archive?? Ahehehe ^^
_FUN FACT I DID NOT KNOW: Misha Collins has a Twitter account now! ...this still doesn't change the fact that my main opinion re:Twitter is still a resounding 'MEH. Not for me.', but I just love him when he posts stuff like "i see hundreds of posts and now i think, "this is stupid," how the fuck do i respond to 400 posts? It takes me 3 days to email my mother." OR "But I'm gonna have to take a hard line from here on out. Anyone (Bsides me) using badly grammar, abr. or mispelin' is gonna be perm. removed". AHHH MISHA WHY SO GREAT??
kaiserkuchen: (Ryuuken! Daddy Cool oh yes you are)
I am utterly and totally knackered, to steal a Brit way of saying things. Holy crap. And I have no real idea where this is coming from, but I just feel this resounding feeling of mental and physical lethargy-- so if I seem a little off to you guys these next few days, it is because I am running on what you'd call Stromsparmodus. This better not be my brain already preparing for Roma roma romaaa (NEXT WEEK HOMG!!), ugh there is so much unwanted uni crap to deal with still this week.

In an effort to not make this entry even more pointless and boring, have some links that have been at least moderately to quite entertaining, via Ye Old Youtube:
_Some person on YT who's uploaded a bunch of current anime ...I can highly recommend K-ON! as a fun and cheerful anime about a group of four girls who decide they want to start a band and make it big. Adorable character designs and relationships, and seriously solid animation.
_Their ED is also insanely catchy and one of the most addictive to watch that I have seen in ages. ...Or more likely: I am just totally transfixed by the moe moe character designs. And I am a sucker for lip-synching during OP/ED themes or just basically Band!actionn. Their dresses! So darling~ (And here's the Full Version of the K-ON! ED song btw)
_"The Monster without a Name" ...who here also read and LOVED Naoki Urusawa's brilliant Monster manga? Never really had time to watch the anime, but here are some clips of the animated versions of the creepy and wonderful fairytales that were woven into the plot of the series. GAAH. Lovely visuals, but GAAAAH. Further tales: "The Person with the Big Eyes & The Person with the Big Mouth" and
"The Troubled God"

_Wonderfully clear and understandable YT vids on different hairstyles ...Non-anime/manga lol, and FINALLY, a vid that makes me understand how one does a fishtail braid. And the sheer variety of things this woman can do with her hair is fascinating. It's so long and glorious O_O

Also, it occurs to me that I haven't really posted about last week's Supernatural. Huh. Suffice to say that it pretty much blew my fucking mind and I am on the edge of my seat to find out what happens in the SEASON FINALE this week. Expect mindless ALLCAPS and cursing of Kripke to occur thereafter!

NOW: BEDTIME (??).
kaiserkuchen: (Reborn! Urge to kill rising :|)
So I was about to renew my paid account, as is my wont every year after my birthday, and of course I discover that I totally blanked on what the Billing address on the Amex that Ma foots the bill for is. A quick email to Ma later, I check the gmail cache and find the address (way to forget about that, self!), but the next problem looms: it's the old house's address. And I don't have the new one. Which means that since Ma will not get the email before sometime tomorrow, my account will lapse and all but six (?) of my icons will be gone fffffffffffffffffff fucksticks!

I mean, maybe this will be the new catalyst I need to revamp my icons, but part of me is headdesking over the fact that I didn't think about doing this earlier nggggggh idiocy :/

IN OTHER NEWS: DAD, SUE AND AE ARE GONE :( I WILL HAVE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY IN FEEDING MYSELF FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE DAY NOW, AWWW HELL.

And to end this on a fandom-y note: SPN PEEPS, RUN DO NOT WALK TO THIS VID. AWESOME AWESOME HILARITY :Dbb

EDITED TO ADD: ....HOLY SMOKING CRAPOLA, THANK YOU ANONYMOUS FOR THE 2 MONTH EXTENSION!!! WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?? NAME YOUR DRAWING WISH AND I WILL GET OFF MY ASS AND ATTEMPT TO MAKE IT REALITY. OH GOD TY TY ♥ ♥
kaiserkuchen: (OTP! Something moves within my heart)
Just watched The Fall today with Miss Olga, in an act of awesome socialization that basically saved my Saturday from being just the day where I failed to actually get myself showered and ready to go buy some groceries before they closed in the time-span of uh, six hours. When I say that I am sometimes a profoundly lethargic person, this is about the kind of stuff I get up to when at my low points, lol what. DID manage to clean the disgusting thing that is our toilet brush receptacle and actually change the old, FOUL one for a new one (actually a glass cleaner and thus totally small, but whatever). There seems to be no point in buying normal toilet brushes, as dearest Sabrina roomie seems to have ~mysterious~ bowel issues that always involve making the public bathroom toilet brushes look more pristine than ours. I hope I am not jinxing myself by typing this, but she has been gone for the whole last week! Left some trash to molder again (that I am currently ignoring), but she is not here, fuck yeahhhhhh :DD

BUT THAT ASIDE, back to the movie. My non-spoilery review: HOLY FUCKING SHIT THIS MOVIE IS GORGEOUS. The scenery! The colors! Everything was so insanely lushly costumed and sumptuously shot and breathtakingly and heartstoppingly beautiful and Lee Pace(♥ ♥) and the little girl were all kinds of wonderful (their relationship ngggg socute). My face during the movie could basically be summed up by the following emoticons-- :O, with sprinklings of D:!! and :D!!. I was ever so engrossed in the story and I loved how the two worlds of the actual hospital staff and patients and the fantastic world that Roy was telling Alexandria of were slowly merging together in Alexandria's imagination and ahh *flails*. If Olga wasn't sitting right next to me, I totally would have also started crying at at least two separate scenes in the movie, haaah.

SO BASICALLY, if you guys have the chance, you should all watch this ASAP! It will seriously blow your mind ♥ For further gorgeous eyecandy, please to be checking out THIS PICSPAM.

And to round this off, one of my favorite pics/production stills from an image search :DD )
kaiserkuchen: (Reborn! Urge to kill rising :|)
I LEFT MY DORM ROOM FOR THE FIRST TIME IN uh *counts* ...THREE DAYS! Man, did Sven and Carmen ever give me a weird look when I mentioned that. I mean, I had food! Water! The internet! What more does one need? Also I totally saved money that way. Though I guess it was kind of sad and vaguely disturbing how I would actively strain to hear for signs of Sabrina-activity to die down and mean that I could leave my room for the bathroom/kitchen. I JUST DIDN'T WANT TO ACTUALLY SEE HER AT ALL COSTS OKAY. I did realize the folly of hoping she would actually just leave yesterday though, since it was then 8PM and I was kind of hungry since 2PM already (and had kind of run out of satisfying snack food). Ah well! She seems to be gone since this morning though... FINGERS CROSSED THAT THIS LASTS FOR A FEW DAYS, AHH.

But yes, where was I before drifting off in that tangent that might have revealed some of my neurotic tics-- FOOD! Sven, Carmen and I had some Thai food at the Thai Lotus, also in our 20. district, and apparently as per lokaltipp.at one of the best Thai restaurants in Vienna? I had Somtam and Yam Woonsen Talae, which was pretty good if a little bit bland-- and I got to talk to the staff in Thai, so I was pretty happy. The Thai food I always have a craving for just mostly never is the stuff they serve here, I am normally not so much a fan of the Pad Thai or all the curries, so it was great to finally get to om nom nom on tasty papaya salad and glass noodles ♥. Will probably be heading there again when the weather gets more sunnier, especially since it is right near the Augarten for some awesome post-fooding walks.

AND NOW I should probably do a smidge of research for my PR-Übung that I will probably end up doing myself, as the group I am with has proven themselves to be a bunch of non-communicative incompetent asswipes. WHAT IS SO HARD WITH USING EMAILS TO DISCUSS THINGS. How hard is it to collectively come up with a PR Agency name that is not some bullshit like 'Forgive Us' or 'Miscommunication'?? I understand the sentiment to make things fun, but calling it names like that just smacks of self-fulfilling prophecies, especially since we are all collectively too incapable of staying in touch. And the agency name isn't even the only thing we are supposed to do-- so much for getting collective input on our hypothetical budget for the image improvement campaign we are supposed to do for the Viennese 10th district, or how we should precisely formulate our mission statement. AND WE KNEW ALL OF THIS SINCE TUESDAY. Heck, I thought I could send them an email early Thursday afternoon, and we'd have something by Saturday evening at least, but no. GOD, I HATE LONG TERM GROUP ASSIGNMENTS WITH PEOPLE YOU ALREADY DON'T KNOW (because then you at least know who you can yell at to get their asses on with it.) I am so going to get the rep as the goody-two-shoes of the group, but goooooood I was just so tempted to type a font-size 40 missive at them that would just blink over and over again "WHY DO YOU ALL SUCK SO MUCH??".

/VENTS
kaiserkuchen: (LoM! Truer words have never been spoken)
Today is the first time since about half year that I have actually engaged in strenuous physical activity. After our day full of errands, Ma dragged me to our housing community/mooban's gym and I proceeded to wheeze my way through a half hour of the cardio machines on middle setting. IT FELT LIKE I WAS ABOUT TO DIIIIIE AFTERWARDS, lol I am so out of shape >_>;; (aaaand we're gonna try for longer tomorrow! Ahhh)

This suddenly willingness to be dragged to vaguely sportive activities on my side was perhaaaaaps prompted a bit by what happened at the hospital the last time we were there for some of Ma's check-ups. There was this fitness promo stand that was offering free blood pressure and body fat percentage measurements, and yours truly, masochist that I am went for a go of the latter option. It's amazing what these newfangled weight things can measure now, I got this whole barrage of data out of it. APPARENTLY, at 176cms/72kgs (5'8/158lbs) I am still in a normal weight range, but for my age class I am officially a "fatty" with my body fat percentage being a whopping 32,4% (over 30% pushes you over that mark, it seems. DAMN THE JUNK IN MY TRUNK). Lolllll the poor guy explaining the data to me was all trying his best to be ~tactful~ and ~optimistic~ about what I could do to change and I was just standing there cracking up because, wow, it sure is something to see that number black on white. But I also have a very good to extremely high bone density and an average muscle mass. Which would end the flood of data on a positive note, but nooo, I then got the memo that I apparently have the metabolism of a 30 year old, too XDD (my first reaction to that was basically 'WTF HOW CAN THEY MEASURE THIS BY ME STANDING ON SOME METAL BITS ON A SCALE?? XDD)

AH WELL, MUST TRY TO VAGUELY TOUGHEN UP*. Summer in Vienna is approaching! I am friends with Carmen and Hazel, both tiny and petite ladies! I do not want to look like their giant beached whale friend on our pictures! FIGHT FIGHT etc etc 8DD

*it seems that Carmen is going to sign me up for beginner's rock climbing classes with her at the USI anyhow?? Oh boyyyy~~
kaiserkuchen: (Pundits! PANTS OPTIONAL)
In lieu of actually doing serious work today, I have managed to wash two whole loads of laundry (MY BEDSHEETS SMELL LIKE A FIELD OF FLOWERS NOW AHH BLISS), talk to both parental units and plan my BKK itinerary, upload all my audiobooks to my iTunes library (appaaaarently my ORIGINAL COPY of I am America (And So Can You!) isn't immediately recognized as an audiobook? Mmmkay) and rewatch all my downloaded fandom vids so far. Also, I found out that 80% of the course for next semester are online already and I have already pored over it for a good hour and made a tentative plan for the summer semester. NOW IF ONLY I WOULD GET THE STUFF DONE SO THAT I CAN PASS MY CURRENT CLASSES AND ACTUALLY ATTEND THESE WONDERFUL HYPOTHETICAL CHOICES *headdesk*.

OH WELL I STILL HAVE FOUR MORE DAYS UNTIL MY FINAL BAKK1 PP PRESENTATION 8DD (thank god the actual hand in date for the finished deal got stretched to the 13th of Feb lol).

AND NOW have some delicious distractions instead!

Words cannot describe how much I am looking forward to this week's SPN ep :DD! I wish you could see Dean's "The whistle makes me their god." comment in this one preview though~

THIS POOR DOG'S 8<<<< FAAAAAAAACE. OH MY GOOOOD *cackles*

OLGA these are the Rahm badges I was telling you about :D

Woo for Now-President Obama! Spent Tuesday squeeing a bit on [livejournal.com profile] rahmbamarama and watching the Inauguration proceedings via CNN's online live feed that just managed to finally work in time for me to actually watch Obama get sworn in. Talk about lucky timing! What is there to be said really, besides the obvious fact that it was lovely to watch, and Obama's speech was making beautiful, beautiful love to the English language at times ♥

Which made it even more depressing, in a way, to come from that general feeling of all-round happiness to our PR-AT, where our obviously enthusiastic teacher (who even had a little Obama logo pin on her coat! O Hanni ILU even more now) wanted to get this discussion started and asked about our thoughts on the Inauguration/the new American politics and was then met with this resounding wall of indifference. And a strong hint of 'people who are psyched about this are somehow abnormal/lame/mindless US pawns'. There was this whole 'well the world shouldn't revolve around the damn amis and we should do well not to fawn over them too much' rhetoric that even Clemens was spouting, and I just started irrationally feeling really bad about being so excited. WHY YOU GOTTA BE SUCH DICKS, MY PR-AT PEOPLE DD:?? I mean, we moved on to the actual class lecture pretty quickly and it would've been a losing battle to really continue trying to defend my point, but it rankles nonetheless :///

I am also nearing a state of ~CALM PANIC~ for the Bildungspsychologie II exam this friday. I just need to pass this one elective! But it is a heckuva lot of stuff to study, and I doubt I would even crack the 4er mark if I do end up passing. GOODBYE BARELY ADEQUATE ELECTIVES GPA DD: The spectres of HIST-ARBEIT and BAKK1-ARBEIT und REFERAT are also looming menacingly over me, which is why I bought Häagen-Dasz Macademia Nut Brittle ice cream the other day! I needed it to uh, celebrate my continuous existence, oh yes ♥. IT'S ALL GONE NOW THO BOO ICE CREAM YOU NEED TO LAST LONGER.

And in loltastic dude news, I think I forgot to mention that sometime early last week St. Pölten dude drunk-smsed me at 2AM, and after some back and forth in a very illegible manner also confessed to me that: 'I think of yu[sic] every day, damn'. The 'damn' after the comma is such a lovely touch, lolol. And now he has even written me an email apologizing if he kind of made me feel awkward or anything-- I bet he just checked his outbox a few days ago and discovered what he actually sent off, ahhh. I mean, I was amused then and I am still amused, though maybe wincing at bit at the state of his English. Even sober it is a bit iffy, at least from what I've seen in written form so far. I should know better and actually try to just stick with German, but damn if I don't automatically default to English as my language of comfort and choice. CLEARLY I NEED TO DATE SOME AMERICAN/BRIT/AUSSIE/KIWI INSTEAD, WHERE ARE YOU FUCKS HIDING IN VIENNA D:
kaiserkuchen: (OT3! And we part ways once again)
.....I see a disturbing trend establishing itself already, and it is called: WATCH YOUR LIFE AND VALUABLE UNI PRACTICE TIME FLASH BY WHILE YOU ARE PARKING YOUR ASS IN FRONT OF THE COMPUTER SCREEN GODDAMMIT WHYY. Damn you, time and space, damn you.

Things I managed to do today:
__ Somewhat break even on my outstanding social email etc correspondence. 'cept for mails to the parental units, efff!
__ Bring back Zeitgeschichte Library books, transcribe 3 pages of quotes that may or may not be usable.
__ Discover that my room is currently a bastion of dust and DESPAIR. I should probably vacuum tomorrow when there is enough natural lighting, whoooooops.
__ Make extensive hypothetical plans with Carmen what to do with our annual ~*MAY TRAVEL*~ holiday date. AIRBERLIN IS SO EXPENSIVE. We just want to fly to Rom (since last year already lol that turned out to be Stockholm), why does that keep getting cockblocked?? All the other destinations there otherwise are practically bunk. Helsinki would be interesting, alas you can't really check the prices in May already and the current flights in April are already around the 100€ for ONE direction mark, blargh! Skyeurope has Amsterdam as a location of interest, but again with the $$ factor. Ryanair offers a 74€ flight to Edinburgh!! from Bratislava (*puke* 20€ bus ticket there fuuck) though, which is extreeeemely tempting, though I bet that would be way compensated by the intensely expensive cost of uh, EVERYTHING ELSE there. Though the yahoo!currency converter tells me that the Pound and the Euro are basically at the same worth at the moment? What is this madness. Scotland would be so boss though, there are Loch Ness tours! HARRY POTTER DORKERY only on my side! Scottish accents!

YET AS COMMON SENSE DICTATES, we'll probably end up going to Budapest by train lol. Around 40€ for the three hour train trip would free up a larger amount of cash to live it up a little bit there at least. And it IS one of the remaining places in our corner of Europe that I still want to see. I admit that Croatia/Slovakia etc etc don't really tempt me all that much. Or just the train trip doesn't, boo long train trips D:

ART @DevArt:

__ SWEENEY TODD!. Man, the movie was so much more FUN than I expected. Ace music (who knew that Johnny Depp could sing so nicely) and I was consistently amused by the HP reunion that seemed to be happening in the movie. Snape! Wormtail! Bellatrix! Hehehe~
__ MOAR Sweeney (and Mrs. Lovett. My favorite songs were 'Try the Priest', the medleys that featured Sweeney and Anthony AND the song where you see Mrs. Lovett's dream sequence (A++ HILARITY o god I think I nearly choked on my popcorn at that bit). 'Pretty Women' just made me snicker like hell (but Alan Rickman has a really nice singing voice :D) and 'Johanna'.... ahahaha o man.

DAYS UNTIL DEADLINE: less and less OSHI---

Have the looming specter of the KPOL exam to contend with too, even if Michi was nice enough to pass on the fabled Sabine Bauer notes. She takes some seriously good notes for exam-cramming, and may the gods smile down on her for letting them loose in the internets ♥

The weekend was quite awesome, due to monsieur Sven and his merry band of dudes (amongst which is Hodge, the one they were all visiting, who lives in this sweet ass house up in the posh bits of the nineteenth district AKA where all the damn embassies/consulates are). Saturday evening was spent clubbing and I even got to see him for a bit again yesterday before he flew back to Maaaaaastricht :D

kaiserkuchen: (OWW! It's okay rly)
I am still giddy yet vaguely tired, so I suppose it is time to get back into the posting groooove (and hope that Kat's com starts working again?? Or that DOOM has passed?? ahhh).
Watched 'Hairspray' with Miss Olga today and I must say I had not expected it to be such a HAPPY MOVIE. I mean, I knew going in that it was upbeat, but JEEBUS CHRIST IT WAS LIKE A DIRECT INJECTION OF CRACK AND GLEEEEEEE. Total stalwart in my future DVD collection, yes yes. And a total moodlifter, I had a grin throughout most of the movie... except for like the last half hour maybe, as the results of drinking a liter of Coke made for a very squirmy wait for the last musical number to be done >_>;; (and to think I nearly ordered the 1.5l one ahaha o nooes).

Afterwards I even managed to clear the large lump of stuff away from my floor thanks to Olga stopping by afterwards, which really proves that I need people sitting in my room to actually make me productive. WAS IT GUILT OVERRIDING LAZINESS?? Had gotten a bit used to just stepping over the pile, I suppose! TOMORROW'S GOAL: SWEEPING?? O snap my days are truly fascinating .__.;;

and here some random typed-up text when I was in Krimml )
kaiserkuchen: (Rukia! Schawiiing and kachiiing)
...am currently muddling my way through the esteemed academic institution of Bullworth Academy, AKA I have started to break in my copy of Bully: Canis Canem Edit on the PS2. My first verdict? FUUUUUUN, but with vaguely confusing controls and a map that makes me wish I bought the walkthrough booklet(must remedy this!). I kind of am fond of Jimmy already, and have also already purchased some new clothes for him so that he/I might be more successful in macking on the ladies( ..and guys I hear? Must further investigate this possibility). Have been to all my 'classes' so far and am steadily beating bullies up and maybe the occasional nerd when it strikes my fancy. Keep getting busted by Prefects, though :/

Shall try and get some more Okami playing done tomorrow, too~

Other than that I slept for far too long today, even with a bedtime at 1AM which ISN'T THAT LATE, which made waking up at 3.30PM today all the more confusing. Then I forgot to take my antihistamines, which meant the rest of today was/is spent sneezing and generally feeling kinda shitty. Dog must be exceptionally dusty today I guess?

And now here something
I found surfing around, o you crazy HP kids! Also here be Dan Radcliffe's new role? I must say the moustache is kind of VERY DISTURBING OKAY. Jeeez O_o;;
kaiserkuchen: (Oh noes! Ruuuun awaaay~)
Am now surfing around and reading some quite disturbing HP smut that I will have to wash out of my brain with some funny and fluffy stuff soon. And yet I keep clicking on things like this, gaah ...at least it's kinda a measure of how far I haven't sunken yet? BDSM and all this dom/sub hardcore kink or chan or loli/shota really kinda still gives me the freakin' heebie-jeebies and uh, not hot. :/

Should actually be cleaning up my room as Carrrrmen and Mina are coming over tomorrow for some (spanish)movie watchings and I'm supposed to play the host, and come to think of it I still have to look up some receipes for HOW to actually make decent burritos, even if I could kinda wing it from what V made last time I was at her place. Am proud that I have enough plates for guests though, and heck I could always just BORROW em from Sabrina like it seems to now be around here with things. But I at least got to use MY pots before she did today HAHAH! Dinner before 8PM, what a novelty!

Was quite happy with the day otherwise-- got to Soz.psych in the morning only 5 mins late; and Carmen and I were treated to Fabian's particular brand of neuroses again re: another personality test we did ahhh. We then later went to check out the book for the lecture and JUUUST managed to get the last library copy... So the next hour was spent photocopying 240 pages x2, but goddammit we have the required 6 chapters now and when next week(last week before hols YAY) the others will be running around trying to get their copies done, Carmen and I can kick back, pat ourselves on our backs and laugh about those fuckers. This goes for Fabian too as he chickened out about getting the copies done at the same load with us. Pffft, as if he'd actually spend the FIFTY-FIVE EUROS to actually buy the book!

Made a quick stop to Cafe Central and got a really nice looking fancy praline box for the Hubers too, all made out of wood with gold inlay text. Can vouch for the tastiness of the pralines too, as we couldnt resist and bought 2 each to try. Mine were cinnamon(TASTED LIKE XMAS MMMH) and champagne ♥

And to end this post on a tasty note-- lunch was a particularly memorable affair as I met up with Marie and was thus introduced to this really tasty japanese restaurant(Nara) near the place where I go grocery shopping anyhow. I HAD SASHIMI AND SUSHI AGAIN and there was ikuuuuura!!! and okay it cost me about 300 baht more for about everything instead of BKK prices BUT it was freshish! and tasty! and didnt fuck with my stomach~ A++ will come by again :Dbb
(ironically the coke was flat and tasted of ass tho D: ahh well nothing's perfect? lol)

Saturday was spent sleeping, waking up to eat and watch Advent Children again (♥), eat, watch House, finish the last few Gokusen eps, reread the manga for Shin-->Kumiko scenes and go to bed again.

Ahhhh~

(Thank god for no homework except to verarbeiten the SMV Umfrage Ergegnisse! Such a bother that is tho, blargh)

Today sofar was waking up, eating, uploading songs for Dad's mp3 and lolling about.

I love lazy weekends~

PS Wonder how dear Kat is doing on her LSW...
