Halt the presses! I have returned to bring you news that the good town of Pattaya still remains the filthy morass of sin and depravity we all know and mostly ignore! Now with an added air of desperation, as the numbers of girlie bars and suspect tailors all try to vie for the attentions of the vastly decimated number of tourists. I mean, there are still your usual suspects of fat, sun-burned and beached-whale-esque Germans/Swiss/Brits/Russians/Amis that either are attempting to tan themselves to oblivion or are already parked at their dive of choice at noon, surrounded by bargirls or the packs of Middle Eastern 'tour groups'--but still not as many as yesteryear. It is particularly depressing to see the empty seafood restaurants and their pathetic displays. AND STILL, people are building like crazy. Condos and hotels are popping up like mushroom! The mind, it boggles.

The hols were still fun though, because the Amari hotel we stayed at was fully renovated since the last time I was there, and looks utterly stunning and FAB. We got upgraded to the Executive Floor and had a super swank room (albeit with 18th floor views of the construction going on at the Holiday Inn next door, lol). And the hours spent lolling around the INFINITY POOL!1, sunning and reading was excellent. The sea around the beach in Pattaya is not fit for swimming, anyways, though it HAS greatly improved and manages to look quite pretty from afar! Managed to get myself a nice touch of color to tide me through the winter months in Vienna (FUCK I DON'T WANT TO GOOO TOMORROW) and have some delicious food, most suprisingly in the local Hard Rock Cafe. Mhh, hickory smoked ribs and beef brisket!

Meant to write this yesterday when we got back, but regaining internets after not having been online for these few days was too much for my feeble addicted soul. Heh. I must now pack, but perhaps a shower would be in order first. Why is it 5PM already??

PS David Cook's new single 'Light On' is fucking fantastic, good god has he got a wonderful voice.

Such a practical thing sometimes, when Dad works in the hotel biz (THE ROOM WAS COMPLEMENTARY, boooyah!)

Und lol, es war einfach so saaaaaad. Playing 'spot the whore' when cruising the sidewalks was also faar too easy, >_>;;

lol i was only in pattaya once, in the very beginning when we didn't know any better, then never again.
the good part of being cold here is that the germans aren't shirtless!!

ps: who is david cook? in our house there's only time for 'Popstars - Just 4 Girls'! i really wish anna would stop watching it.

Seriously, the hotel!!1 and the weather was the best parts of it. I mean, you'd have to go out to the islands for the real nice bits though.

DUDE don't you remember the guy who won this season's American Idol? Or were you sarcastic, my mind, it is slow on the uptake today lol

Lol, my last memory of Pattaya was getting to stay at the Hard Rock hotel (I think?) for free and discovering that: 1) the bathroom door had no lock, 2) the window into the bathroom could be opened veeeeerrrrrrrrrry easily, and 3) those candies... are not actually candies (depending on how you see it). But oh? The sea has gotten better you say? O:

AND OH SNAP, YOU'RE GOING BACK TO VIENNA TOMORROW/TODAY? Is it that time of the year already?

Either way, yo, I hope you have a saaaaaaafe flight. ;Db

Now I have never actually been in moaaar of the Hard Rock Hotel than their cafe, but woaaaaaaah to what you wrote. Woaaaaaah XDD the rooms were made to facilitate the HARD ROCKING COCKING LIFESTYLE, apparently?! Rockers need no such things as flimsy locks on doors! PRIVACY WHAT IS THIS :D
The sea looks indeed fab, as will be evidenced by the pictures I will one day get around to uploading, ohoho.

LESS THAN 8 HOURS TO GO. DO NOT WANT. But since I was retarded and slept 2 hours yesterday, and the nap I took just now didn't really help, I am at least totes sure of sleeping through at least 3/4ths of the upcoming flight. FINGERS CROSSEDDDDDDDDD
