I should be practising for my geography exam now. And finishing german and art. And possibly not going to bed in the wee hours of the morning. But watching the first 3 episodes of the Gokusen TV Drama was just too tempting!

Oh the slight cheesiness of it all! But it's all good, in my humble (used to watch SMALLVILLE and 7th Heaven) opinion. Kumiko's actress has the right mixture of sweetness and attitude, altho the script writers chose to forgo the more dorkier aspects of her personality, which is a shame, but ehh. Since it's the thai dub (it played on Channel 7!! oha, how did I ever miss that~) you can't really "hear" the change when she goes all yakusa-slang, unless you watch the reactions of the other charas (still amusing):D. Shin's new look took a bit of getting used to and I mourned the loss of his funky reddish-pink manga/anime hair. At least the reason why there seemd to be 2 different styles for Shin in the j-fanart is clear at last. I thought he just had a make-over in one of the later volumes... And Matsumoto Jun's look is slowly growing on me...it all depends on the right camera angle it seems, the full frontal face shot+ the pouty expression he had going in the beginning= weiiird and vaguely froggylike.
The TV version is also chock-full with drama, and it's fun.
I do admit to wondering why they swapped around the names of Shin's posse and Tetsu and Minoru(that was a big wtf?why?). Blond!Tall!Puppy-lovin!Uchtie is amusing tho. And Kuma~
Looking forward to binging more after school tomorrow~ ♥ ♥ ♥

Shall search for new icons! Yeah! Laziness, FIGHT-O!

PS Kat- msn tomorrow after everwood and lost? Also 23pm ish your time?
