Here are some pictures from Chua Fa Din Salai! SUCH GLORIOUS COSTUMING. I am somewhat depressed that I will probably have to watch it by myself though ughhh maybe Esara will still be in town then? Or I can somehow convince I or D to sit through what is probably 2 hours with no English subs. ....Yeah okay, probably not.

♥ SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON ♥
...the movie is set in the Thai/Buddhist year of 2475, which corresponds to 1932 in the western calendar and means that we get gorgeous '30s dresses but also this kind of fantastic traditional (and Northern Thai) wear.
...classy, sexy and gorgeous traditional outfits ngggggggggg. One day when I am ~older and can legit pull it off I will have at least two tailormade pieces or suits made from Thai silk, mark my fucking words.
...Ananda's character comes from a more "lower" class than Ploy's (as far as I can tell, he's the adopted? nephew of Ploy's character's older rich husband). The color of the silk in the right-hand outfit is wonderful.
...SO DASHING I CANNOT DEAL.
...HIS FUCKING EYELASHES NGGGG. And he damn well works that scruffy look but goooood.
...I seriously wish I had some of these in bigger aughhhh.
...AHHH ANANDA <333
...Ploy's movie poster! Dripping in jewels and SEX. Before I forget to mention it, the actress's RL name is Chermarn Boonyasak.
...I was just super charmed that Ploy looks all modern and ~fierce in that animal print and Ananda just shows up in this awesome new-meets-old fusion outfit + nod to his character. Love it!
Oh and here is Jennifer Kim singing the beautiful song that goes with the movie. GOOSEBUMPS, I HAVE THEM.
