kaiserkuchen...which is basically a good summary of how the last few days were spent! Whatever I said about vaguely getting bored before? Oh man, I take it all back- once Port Royal(part 1) was done, the fun times started rolling~!
First of all I must say that I am glad as heck that I didn't spoil myself for anything regarding this game. There were parts that suprised me, schocked me, and made me make embarassing squeaky noises at 3AM and ahhh ♥ What a lovely feeling~ :D
Worked myself into the fighting system, my right thumb is quick like lightning now 8D! But I do keep forgetting to use my summons/Merge forms with Goofy and Donald... Apparently the summon level thing comes and bites me in the ass when I want to fufill all the stuff for the secret ending, waaah- Leveling-up spree it is then!
Liked the fact that in KH2 the worlds seem so much more compact- there is enough to amuse and interest if you really like the particular level, but it never drags (and I can't get lost in certain stages like
in the first one *coughTarzancoughAlicecough*).
FAV stage ever? PRIDELANDS!! SIMBA! HAKUNA MATATA! SCAAAR! LION!SORA (SO CUTE SO CUTE SO CUUUUUTE ♥ I spent the first ten minutes in that world just making lion!Sora run in circles and jump on stuff because OMG LION CUB :DDDDD)
The Atlantica music games stuff was fun, too- although I went there expecting it to suck from what I had read from some reviews. Eh. The music was cute and classic, and earwormy as heck... I had "Under the Sea" and "Be Prepared"(from Lion King) on eternal loop in my head all the time~ But those are my favorite Disney songs, so *shrugs*. My DDR wilfull focus-unfocus eye skills came in handy tho- it is extremly distracting trying to hit the X-button at the right moment when Merboy!Sora is grooving and grinning like the darling boy he is on screen XDDD (AND THE SINGING! ADORABLE)
And oohhhh re:Squeenix characters of course! AC!Cloud ("You look different, Cloud" ahahaha made me nearly choke on my drink ahaha different indeeeeed) and Leon! OH GOD THE "BANTER" AT THE 1000 HEARTLESS FIGHT *DAIS DAIS DAIS* ...and it never fails to crack me up seeing Leon emote ♥, he seems more laid back than in KH... Yuffie and Aeris must've done a great job!
AC!Tifa appearing to look for Cloud came totally unexpected and was welcomed with much GLEE ahahaha she's so crazy strong ♥! And the part where you get consecutively assisted by the Squeenix crew at the 1000 Heartless Ravine? OH THAT WAS MADE OF WIN, pure, beautiful WIN ♥.
Loved seeing the YuRiPa trio too (but on the note of FFX/X-2 characters...KH!Tidus? I hope there'll be a quick flash of him in the ending or something when the trio gets back to Destiny Islands... I mean, we got to see Selphie, soooo D:?).
And AURON, OH AURON- from the Limit Breaks to the Keyblade you get from him- badass, awesome and just plain cool barely suceeds in describing him... And the voices Sora and co. heard when they touched the Auron doll god that must've been Braska and asfkjalfkj. Canon references ftw.
Once I got to Twilight Town again and to the World That Never Was? That's when the non-stop squeaking noises started. OH AXEL. *wibbles just remembering it* ...No one can play this game and not believe that Axel is so head-over-heels in love with Roxas. It's fucking canon...I mean one might rationalise some of the beginning cutscenes as friendshippy- although actually the scene where Flashback!Roxas in his Organisation get-up walks away from Axel? Axel's expression was pretty much "my heart is fricking shattered into a million pieces wry dun leave me schatzi DDDD:". And he does so much for Roxas! Living the renegade life!
And oh man...when he opens the portal for Sora and co? "He was the only one I ever really liked..." and "He made me feel like I had a heart" and his expression and wow this was Shaz with tears running down her cheeks and clutching the controllers at ass o'clock numbly repeating "omg omg omg noooo". Was all "!!! Axel that was a fucking brilliant move!!!1 ...Axel? omg what's happening to youuu nooooooo *wahh*" Came out of the blue for me, that did.
Thus: AXEL/ROXAS new OTP for meee ♥ ♥
The Sora/Roxas keyblade battoru made me a happy person, too ♥
Hrmm what else? ...Oh yeah! Riku! Fuck, the boy got tall- was my first reaction, closely followed by "he finally got a dress sense! Away with the gay pants!", "needs a haircut though" and "eeeee Sora's expression awwwww ♥". Also: His sword's design is hot.
...ahhh typing all that down now makes me feel better~! Next goal: Try to beat the game and get the secret ending before school starts again! AND start looking for Axel/Roxas fic/art!
