IKEA trip today with Michi, Carmen, Nathalie and Lis! Hilarity and mass spending abounded, where I was finally not the one who spent the most money! (That dubious honour went to Michi this time with 63 € hohoho vs. my 51€ XDD)

Ahhh, am long not done with the IKEA-trip inspired remodeling of my room (TBC tomorrow lol), but even so the difference is already really pleasing. Things have their place! It is all so orderly! I am finally throwing away the crap I had somehow hoarded since my first semester here (...empty caviar jars??)! BLISS. Will be posting some before and after pics, fo' sure~

OTHERWISE I now have to quickly read and make intelligent notes about my assigned Business English II reading due tomorrow-- "International Financial Instability in a World of Currencies Hierarchy". 31 pages of NOT INTERESTINGNESS woooooooo.

2)I want someone male in my immediate group of friends to wear this. Since there is obv. no boyfriend for me to buy this for and oogle lol ;3; Carmen and I have decided that Michi needs to buy it. Tis right up his vaguely preppy ally... Though of course it would be the best if Mr. 49er would wear it~~ *_*b HACH.

...that when faced with the test sheet, the answers actually come to mind for a change? It sounds so idiotic and well, redundant to say this, but woaah. Actually writing down notes to practice for exams really does help. 8 pages of handwritten OEKO notes haaaaah~ GO BRAINS.
I hope I am not jinxing myself, but I think that this time it's a pass for sure? *crosses fingers*

And now only KSOZ tomorrow to go~ (with a wake-up time of 6:45 fuuuckin' A, why does the exam have to be at 8.30AM?? WHYY). Still have the whole day to practice though, and am thus still hunky dory~


Went shopping at the new Merkur at the MC with Carmen after OEKO exam and hot damn, I am in LOOOOVE~ with this supermarket! Lovely layout~~ and very reminiscent of Central Chidlom's old supermarket layout and so many fruits! and MEAT! and cheese! and other sources of yay. Also managed to score some sushi rice and a bamboo mat, so with that and the stuff I got last week I am basically all set for some prime time ONIGIRIIII makings later this week~~ :3

It seems like my ever dwindling random conversations with Sabrina/roomate all are starting to look like scenes out of this hilariously akward sitcom OF FAIL or something.
WITNESS:

Scenario 1:
Me: "Oh, hey Sabrina, back again after two weeks huh? Just fyi I threw out that giant jar of rhubarb compote you had in the fridge, it was growing fungus (again). This happens really often you know, maybe you should really start investing in some airtight containers or something, hahaha :D'

Scenario 2:
Me: "Oh, hey Sabrina, so I was thinking about maybe buying one of these two-panel cooking plates! No need for us to suffer just cause the chick before us was so damn stingy and only bought a single panel cooking plate, eh? :Db"

Me: "...oh. Ahehehe. Well then!"
Sabrina: "And I think that one is totally sufficient *LOOK OF 'YOU SUCK'*"

But! I am still firm in my quest to buy a 2-teilige Kochplatte though and my erstwhile perusal of the Saturn webpage tells me that even the most pimped up one is still fucking ten euros CHEAPER than the cheapest Guitar Hero guitar controller (50 euros VS ...62 euros whut). ...I MEAN, WHAT THE FUCK >_>;;
Ah well, shall wish for one for Christmas then?? Easier cooking overrides potential ROCKING OUT, sadly~~

WHY TODAY KIND OF SUCKS:
1) IT'S COLD AND RAINING AND COLD AND THE RAIN HASN'T STOPPED FOR THE WHOLE DAY. OH AND IT'S WINDY AS FUCK.
2) ...I have to go to Marie's birthday bash in less than 2 hours and IT'S DARK AND COLD AND WINDY OUTSIDE. I am so getting away as early as possible. God, this weather is not conducive towards doing anything more strenous than sitting ones ass at home, WARMLY.
3) IT'S COLD AND RAINING and I am tremendously unmotivated to do, well, anything, really.

WHY TODAY IS VAGUELY OKAY:
1) Finished my CV, got my skype credits and will hopefully be calling some companies in BKK re:trainee positions in the summer of '08 tomorrow
2) Finished some errands at the MC(...even if they were a day later aah)
3) Tried on a coat of Hotness at MNG/Mango

SUNDAY EVENING: *surf surf surf the net*, *catch up on CFUD, facebook, studivz*, *read fic*, *open a bunch of tabs to reply to posts and people* --->eventual discovery that ADSL REBELLLLLLLLED and was dead D:<

MONDAY: *woken up at 5.30am to get ready to go into town with Dad and Sue*, *breakfast at the Hotel w/ Dad, reading newspaper and subsequent almost zombieish behaviour until leaving at 10am due to lack of sleep the previous night*
THEN: *MEETUP WITH PATTY (BIRTHDAY GIIIIIIRL), GINGER and their friends Ploy and Linn!*, *AWESOMENESS and delish crepes at Crepe and Co.*, *MAD ASIAN PHOTOSESSIONS OF GLEE!!!*, *shoppping in Siam and spending 1000 baht on earrings oops*, *getting to hear delicious RIS reminiscence dramamarama by Patty and Linn, jeeebus christ, my crap is positively tame in comparision!*
EVENTUALLY: *home, dinner, DEAD TIRED and in bed before twelve, no internet*

Got to sleep in! Play some more PS2 games, have broken in Okami(SO PRETTY and eee AMMY), Guitar Hero 2 and Guitar Hero Rocks the 80's so far, and its been a blast! GH is totally playable even without the fake guitar and I am loving all of the songs and generally getting my rock on. Must see about buying Persona 3 and Bully the next time I'm in MBK~
Was browsing through some old picture albums here as well, oh my dear magic sticker collection! And the notes I made to some of the albums! How tiny and youngish we all were, hach~ Looking at the 9th grade upwards pics kind of reminded me of how I diiiiidn't really feel comfortable in class after La, Angie and Frank left, though. I mean, Kat was still there for a bit of course, but in a different class and that meant that solo class excursions with rooming with Tanja and Maew were always a bit ehh. Oh man... I bet one day we're gonna have a class reunion and everybody's gonna be all YAY and HI and totally over things and I will still be forever holding onto my kind of grudge against Tanja and Sven G (to some extent). I mean, we had some fun times, sure, but way to make me feel really shitty and boring and unnecessary in class sometimes, guys :/ Lol and this actually figures onto how I see the 12er sometimes, it's all yay and fun, but mostly I get that all class mixing aside, they're their class and I'm not and when it comes to it we're not really friends that will be in contact for a long time. Sure there's facebook and random studivz, but even there I never talk to Julie or Stoffel anymore. Jo gets the guy-communication failure redemption and Kathy is basically the only one I talk to every now and then. Ahhh.

WHICH is why I am all the more grateful for Kat and La and co, and the uni peeps. I feel valued! And loved! And all that jazz with them, yay :)

Have been spending a large part of the day poring over digicam catalogues and reading consumer reviews on amazon and anguishing some more. The Sony center called back and said that my trusty ol' DSC-T7's hardboard was fritzed and only 7000 baht would be able to repair it... which is a pretty steep sum, considering that the camera cost 15'000 baht when I bought it 2 years ago. So a new one it is! And the other thing that is a sure bet is that I will be sticking to Sony, first and foremost due to easy sync up with my VAIO, then my admittedly shallow LOVE for the Sony designs and the slight weight that my old cam(sniff) so endeared to me. I admit to being a shameless Sony ho and Dad enables this and shares this trait with me, I might add ;D (my only 'infidelities' have been re: iPod and the Nintendo DS I intend to own someday... sorry lah the PSP and the Sony digital music players just don't do much for me XDD).

CONS:
_ I HATE lenses that extend out. Hate hate hate. And they can get broken or jammed real I heard?

_ ...if I am already spending more than 10'000 baht, why not just spring 5'000 baht more? Okay, 5'000 baht is a lot of money, though. But not seen in the big picture. Yet... *ARGH*

In other news I was barred from the gym today, as Ma's freebie visitor's pass that I was using ran out and you can't use a bunch in a row? Or something. Grooved out to a Guitar Hero machine that hat buttons instead of a guitar though whilst waiting for Ma and watched Ratatouille! SO CUTE AHHHHHH ♥ And heartwarming and hunger-inducing and EEEE-WILL BE IN PARIS SOON-reminding :Db

Am now FINALLY firmly ensconced in Ma's casa with WIRELESS INTERNEEEEEEEEET!!! No more cold turkey at Na Paew's place, though I must say the Nip/Tuck Season 3 DVDs I had were instrumental in making me honestly not really notice the lack of glorious net. Twas all the more bitter when I discovered that the LAST HALF HOUR of the Season 3 two-hour season finale was mysteriously missing from my admittedly dubiously acquired box set :( ...anybody in the know willing to tell me what happens? Obviously nothing groundbreaking, since season 4 exists (and I have already burned through disc one of 7 there, and already I have some skips and freezing. Oh fake DVDs, why are you not my friend this time round??)
But oh how I adore the sheer high-intensity DRAMA! and EXPLICIT SURGERY FOOTAGE! paired with some truly convulted character relationships this show has... Christian(**) and Sean's friendship is really something, their highs and their lows and the fucking around with patients and the weird patchwork family thing they have going... The little in-jokes and pop-culture details in the whole series! Ahh ♥. And I found myself really liking Julia and Kimber, the latter who besides being a really interesting character herself is sublimely gorgeous-- geez I wish I could work hair like that. Hot stuff.

(**)= I have slowly come to terms that watching Christian Troy on Nip/Tuck is like watching a glorious, charismatic and bastardly trainwreck of a character. Was hanging off my seat most of Season 3 and tearing up or blathering at the laptop screen during PIVOTAL happenings. 'Oh, Christian... why must life keep shitting on DDD:' seemed to have been a note I scrawled down at some point, I think.

SO anyways! Comicon '06 at some meeting Hall at St.Louis Hospital last Sunday! (dunno why a hospital but yeah)
Met up w/ Ginger first and spent a while walking around the hospital grounds looking for said mystery meeting hall until we found Cosplayers! and thusly stalked them to great victory! And then we had to walk up 11 flights of stairs because the tiny lifts were overfilled but we prevailed! For great dojin-buying sake~
Place was packed, random schmucks like us, cosplayers, cosplayer assistants etc all milling about or waiting in line. I was immediately sent in my first semi-squeeing fit seeing the door-standing person dressed up as Roxaaaas, which was a fitting prelude to the entering of the hall~

THE HALL:
Heh! It can be safely said that the maaaajor major thai fandoms represented here dojinshi-wise were Deathnote and Fullmetal Alchemist, with Gundam Seed and Prince of Tennis making their presence felt at some booths, plus some girly series for the guys to perve over... Naruto was scattered around here and there and of course(??) Harry Potter was representin' too~ XDD KH2 seemed to be the newbie/dark horse on the block but! Mhhh looked good to me~ And of course it was all fandoms ever for the keychain-sections~
Some noticably awesome cosplayers were the gazillion Riku's (One had a micky mouse fuzzy hat on!!), the MGS military crew, some Ed Elrics, The Ouran Kokou Host Club(♥), Vincent Valentine... but my personal favorites were the Ishida/Ichigo duo, plus weapons! and the KH2 booth that were all dressed in these really nice looking Organization XIII cloaks~ ♥

THE SCHWAG:
Ginger and I mangaged to score a lovely haul, totally to about 2500 baht spent in total for both of us~

Oh maaan! THE LOVE! _KH2 Dearly Beloved- Sora: (By eguana) This one WON for sheer omg!effect with the design of the dojin- There was this metallic emboss of the title stylised heart, a slighty waxy? paper before the actual dojin and a free Oathkeeper bookmark! BEST sword in KH ever ♥ And the story was adorable too, Roxas and Sora and Destiny Islands OT3 in the end yaaay :D

I wish there was more fun unique idea merchandise tho- like in November last year where this one booth sold Icha Icha Paradise formatted blank notebooks! But the tiny Deathnote replica keychains were quite ingenious too~
There should've been a booth selling some simple totebags though, we weren't the only ones lugging our loot around and there is potential cash to be made here! I mean, some cheap plain totes +Silk screen motives, maybe embellish a bit and WHAM! Bag! Money earned!

Ignoring the fact that I suddenly realised the amount of work I still have to finish by today, 'twas a fun weekend at Ma's, with schwag acquired and no silly fights! Scooore :D

Central Chidlom is now shiny renovated and fantastic-er than ever- the new supermarket! Oh how I could wax poetic about it! New import brands! More foodstuffs! Massive cheese and meats selection- they even had Jamon Pais/Serrano(fancy spanish ham, extremly tasty ♥)! Barcelona flashbacks hee~ Also, the new gourmet potato chips are very nicely packaged and do sound interestingly tasty with flavours like sea salt and being hand picked and hand fried and basically hand everythinged. But. Nearlly two hundred baht for a bag? OH hellz no, give me half a dozen white FISHO's instead. Hmmm, Fisho...(actually could buy a hell of a lot of FISHO with 200baht...idea! :D)

Finally got to watch Harry Potter4 as well! Twas a late showing and the cinema area was a bit packed, as they were holding an apparent MMORPG tournament there. Ah well.
Also, some of the pre-movie comercials are EVIL.
There was this new one from Thai Life Insurance, where you have this middle-age ish man voicing over about his relationship with his son, during driving to somewhere.(Typical son rebels to his dad about music/being in a band plot, dad is protective because he doesnt want the son to get invloved with drugs +angst because his wife died and the sons the only family he has left). Flashback to happy childhood memories and how he wishes it woudl've been. Change scene. The son, now a famous musician has sent the dad a ticket to see his show. Dad accepts and it turns out that that's where he's driving to. Audience thinks "aww" and is happy about the positive resolution. ...Then suddenly: BAM! The dad's car is hit by an incoming ten-wheeler(who was driving on the wrong lane- geisterfahrer in german, dunno in english). Slooow-Mo on the dad being yanked a bit forward by the impact, debris flies like demented confetti. Last shot of the dad's empty seat at son's concert. Thai Insurance voice-over about taking the best moments when you can or something.
Me: *wipes tears away* ....D: Saw that coming a mile away, but. Shiiit ;___;
