Not much left in the actual day here, but it still needs to be said:

HAPPY (THAI) MOTHER'S DAY!!

Photobucket

In case you don't know, the birthdays of their Royal Highness's the King and Queen are also simultaneously Father and Mother's Day in Thailand (5th of December and the 12th of August). I watched the royal news yesterday and a bit of the Queen's yearly speech-- the entire royal family barring the King (EDIT: he was there too! Yay!) was present, and everyone was wearing outfits in this lovely shade of light blue (the Queen's color and the designated color of Friday, her day of birth), so adorable! She's 77 years old now, and still extremely awesome with a wonderful sense of fashion-- check out this fabulous hat, hello :DD

I also called Ma and Khun Yai today like the good daughter/grandchild I am, will only be seeing Ma again sometime next week though, which at least gives me time to cough up some jasmine-related product (=garlands or other forms of jasmine flowers being the traditional Mother's Day gift) ...am still looking for her birthday present-- she's turning 49 years old on the NINTH of the NINTH MONTH in 2009, lol we sure as hell need to buy some lottery tickets that day!

SO HAVE YOU SHOWN YOUR MOTHERS SOME LOVE TODAY?? Tell them it's an extra-bonus day ;DD

PS I so needed this day off nnnnnnnnnnng sleep <33

Sabrina is learning! I was treated to this ~*lovely*~ note in front of my door this morning:
Hi,
Vielleicht schaffst du es auch Verantwortung zu übernehmen und mal 'vor der eigenen Tür zu kehren' (im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes) und den Boden zu wischen im Vorraum und im Bad.
Danke, Sabrina.

(Basically in English: Hi, maybe you'll also manage to assume responsibility and 'clean up your own messes', specifically wiping down the common area and the bathroom floors. Thanks, Sabrina).
OH SNAAAAAAP. Ahahaha, oh my fucking god. I mean, I must give it to her, that note is good. The way she throws the word responsibility I used in my other note right back in my face? The thinly-veiled disdain in those oh so polite sentences? Nice move, nice move. I honestly felt bad for a few minutes, before I realized that, wait, she is basically trying to give me shit for letting the dust settle. And the fact that the stuff to 'sweep' up is apparently my job, even if it SOMEHOW always magically is way more than could just feasibly be from the common areas and SOMEONE seems to be allergic to the thought of actually using a vacuum cleaner for her own cleaning. I vacuum my room and the common areas weekly or at least every two weeks. She can not make me believe that that much accumulates in the time between. But! Okay, I can get with the program. I wiped down the fucking bathroom, I wiped down the common area floor, I cleaned the bathroom mirror, I unclogged the shower drain (always a joy) AND I even fucking bought new bathroom and kitchen mats. Sabrina wants to have a motherfuckin' CLEAN-OFF? BRING IT ON, BITCH. I'll show you fucking clean living. I am indifferent to living in a certain measure of dusty surroundings, guilty as charged, but man, at least I never actually make the kitchen regularly look like THIS ). TCH!

ALSO: Today is my FOUR YEAR LJ Anniversary! Man, how time flies and how LJ has managed to be the gaping black hole of AWESOME TIME-CONSUMING YAY in my life that it is. I wouldn't have it any other way~ It's been more soothing than expected to have a place to just type my random thoughts and just follow various fandoms with, I've gotten to know so many cool ladies through this (some with RL meetings woo) and it is probably LJ that I have to thank for Kat and I being in such constant contact with each other after all these years apaaaaaaart (LOVE U BEBE XOXO). Here's to many more years!

ALSO ALSO: I forgot to post about this yesterday, but Happy Belated Birthday to His Majesty The King ♥!!! I wish he wasn't ill and had to cancel his annual speech, but I hope and pray that he'll soon be healthier again. I did manage to SMS Dad and wish him Happy Father's Day though, and even got a very nice abrupt 'thanks.' in return. Oh, Dad.

...from rural Austriaaaaa! And I must say that thanks to these nifty upgrade coupons, I am slowly but surely beginning to acquire the taste for traveling in the 1. Class of the ÖBB Trains. I mean, the seats are marginally bigger and the REAL LEATHER OMG!! isn't actually the main points of awesome that one would expect, it is more the fact that THERE ARE SO LITTLE PEOPLE, it is fabulous. For I am one of these people, that when traveling alone, turn immediately and intensely paranoid and it is always a wringing with myself to actually leave my bags to go the bathroom and such (often unavoidable given the five odd hours I am on the trains). SO, the lack of the hordes of travelers in my partition was sweet sweet delight. Sadly my coupons aren't everlasting and I suppose I shall swing back to 2. Class when going back in march, unless I can overcome my inner miser and spring for the 15 euros more that the 1. Class entails... HMMM.

Now it's back to REEEL LAIF and srs uni business and hopefully not fucking up royally, as January is shaping up to be a hell of a month, deadline wise. But at least my fellow compatriots seem to all be languishing in a similar state of Not Productive, so I am at least in good company! Note to self: GET THE FUCKING STEP3 EXZERPT DONE BY SUNDAY YOU FUCKING IDIOT DDD: orzzzz not like I was swamped in Krimml but did I think of actually doing schoolwork? 'Wellll noo, let's turn on the TV again instead yayyyy' was my MO, oops.

Speaking of Krimml, yesterday Andi was awesome enough to take me skiing and ran me through the ropes again for nearly two hours. Damn, my knees hurt! And I can safely say that I am finally beginning to seeing the appeal/fun factor of skiing. My previous feelings on this based on last Decembers attempts could be safely summed up as 'AHHHHH SHIIIIT I AM SPEEDING TO MY DOOOM FUCKKK DDD:', and now I am down to just making vaguely unattractive 'HGURKKK AHH' sounds when I hit an icy or particularly steep patch of the slope. Also I might just be a contender for the title of World's Slowest Skiier, but I am totally down with this even if it means that if I were to ski just a tiiiny bit slower I'd be friggen skiing backwards in time. BUT STILL. +10 EXP GET!
We shall apparently either attempt a try on the big Sessellifte in March again OR do a beginners Snowboard course, though I must say that the idea of snow boarding freaks me out more than skiing. I want to have control over BOTH my legs okaaaaay D:

In more sad RL news that I had to read first from the good ol' Krone-- The King's sister, Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana passed away from cancer at the age of 84 two days ago. The linked article has a really interesting read about her life story. RIP.

And whilst on the topic of Thailand, a resounding URRRGH from me about the current political fuckery re:elections going on again. Samak you are so fugly and suckkkk. Though his quote about the 'invisible dirty hand' that is fucking everything up!! has it's hilarious qualities. I mean, whaaaat. :|

HOW COULD I FORGET THAT TODAY IS FATHER'S DAYYYYYY aaaaaaaaah and now it's too late to call BKK and talk to Dad >_>;;
BAD SHAZ, BAD...

but:

♥ LONG LIVE THE KING ♥

:D

PS skipped Karate today tee hee oops
kaiserkuchen: (Tidus! Eeee!)
Achhh. The emo of yesterday has been somewhat pushed aside to be dealt with later. Made me actually forget what I wanted to post before, which was basically my EEEEE at the festivities of the 9th- LONG LIVE HIS MAJESTY THE KING! 60 YEARS ASCENSION TO THE THRONE~~ Ahh, it felt so good walking aroung town in my yellow shirt and seeing all of Bangkok basically doing the same ♥ Solidariiiiity~~

Was watching the Royal News today as well, seeing the footage of all the royal people who are in Thailand now arriving and wow, Emperor Akihito is here?! Holy shit... But the BEST Royal ever must've been the Prince-consort Henrik from Denmark. He comes off his plane, dressed in camel slacks, the type of navy blue shirt some of the chiller-farangs wear here and having what looked like this huge pendant type thing around his neck, walks up to the Princess Sirindhorn and proceeds to give her two very big kisses on the cheek. Ahaha~ so cuute, and it seems like they knew each other before anyhow, cause apparently he's spent a few vacations in Thailand already, plus state visits and vice versa. He just seemed more like one of those slightly tipsy old uncles that sit on a beach somewhere then a princely-type XDD
...Ahaha and the news narrator kept giving these random factoids about the various royals and apparently the something-something of Luxembourg bought the whole set of the 'Khun Tong Daeng' T-shirts the last time he was in BKK. :DDDD HEEE~~

Oh and I went to watch "The Omen" with Jo, too. Ahahaha CREEPY ASS KID WHUT. And there were evil!Rottweilers! And dude who played Professor Lupin and Dumbledore! Also featured the absolute WORST ever male protagonist that I have ever seen in all my years of movie watching. Jo and I took to chanting "DU BIST SOOOO DUMM" at the screen every few scenes or so :DDD But the ending was fun, in an ahahahahaha Eviiiiiil way. Amount of scares in the movie? ...um, there were certain "!!!!"-moments, sure. And I may or may have not spilled half of the popcorn at one such moment XDD But Jo also went AUGH! at the next one so I felt better about myself ♥.
