SO MUCH TO DO, SO MUCH TIME TO ACTUALLY DO IT IF I DON'T GET CAUGHT UP BY BEING AN AMAZINGLY UNPRODUCTIVE AND LAZY FUCK INSTEAD. Will I make it?? Here's hoping it!

WOW I AM STILL MASSIVELY TIRED
Mar. 17th, 2009 01:22 amIn lieu of the detailed MÜC post that I may or may not write +pics, depending how much I end up blathering on FB when I finally get around to uploading some of my 211 pics: MÜNCHEN WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!1. I admit, I was a bit wary at first-- I didn't really have concrete expectations of the city and I was very used to just traveling with Carmen only and was curious as to how our old-new group dynamic would be. But it was just really a pleasure and it was so palpable that yes, I have now known Laura and Angie for over 12 years and it was just lovely and comfortable to wander around town with them until my feet and lower back started hating me . Although I should just about resign myself to the fact that apparently I snore ("Well it's kind of like, you start out breathing really loudly? And then 'knggggghzzzz', but you're not as bad as my Dad?" "...gee, thanks Angie.") and will always be the last one to wake-up and get ready. An early-riser, even in hostels, I will never be!
Now that I am back I am just basically reeling at all the awesome the internet apparently has to suddenly offer, and of course the faint shadows of my university responsibilities loom ever present in the rapidly approaching future. I have become incapable of paying attention in lectures anymore. Spent the time in Communications Ethics that I wasn't admiring how ~distinguished and dapper~ our swank silver-haired old prof looks with Carmen actually reading the WATCHMEN English version comic I bought in München. Not done yet, but I really like what I am reading so far, though bits of it made me really have to dial down the 'ugh!!' and 'omggg' and 'DDD:!!' reactions that I felt like having. We also watched the ~movie version~ today! And I must say that all three of us (Clemens decided to deign us with his presence, too) basically spent the entire movie staring at the screen in rapt fascination. JDM as the Comedian was just as brilliant as I expected, I will forever covet the Silk Spectre II's glorious hair and Dan/Nite Owl really pinged me hard on my surprise 'GUYS THAT ARE SOMEHOW INTENSELY, INTENSELY HOT and wow look at that ASS' radar BUT. Rorschach. HOLY SHIT, best character in the whole damn movie ever, he was fucking fantastic. I really need to watch this again with the original voices, though I really must say that they did an ace job with the dubbing.
YET I STILL HAVE TO AGREE WITH EVERYONE WHO SAID THAT THE USE OF MUSIC IN THIS MOVIE IS CLUNKY AND FUCKED ALL THE WAY TO HELL. I don't think I was supposed to laugh at the 'Hallelujah' sex scene (the whole theater sure did with me XDD)? And 99 Luftballons! I mean, I am aware that the song meaning was fitting and all, but I can never not associate 99 Luftballons with with the type of intensely silly and stupid things that the use of that song in the movie probably didn't intend.
MOAR TOMORROW I GUESS~

I guess I had to start at some point
Mar. 10th, 2009 11:40 pmToday has been a moderately productive day of running errands and slowly attempting to ease myself back into the rhythm of university life. Judging by the speed in which I proceeded to doodle and try to calculate my GPA based on the transcripts I had picked up before the EVA (Communications evaluation methods) lecture, my concentration is pretty much shot to shit. LE SIGH, LE DOOM, etc etc. The lecture itself seems pretty okay though, a mountain of literature to work through and Folien up to here, but as far as I can tell it's all set up pretty student-friendly on the web platform. And the TA is pretty hot, even if his name is BENJAMIN-TIMON. Who names their kid that, honestly.
But I got the train tickets for when Dad, Sue and Ae arrive in April, I got my Semesterticket paid now too, the aforementioned transcripts to extend our dorm contract for Carmen and I AAAAAND I made it to the post office to finally send off some mail. Now that I finally got that done, I can also at last squee about this to my heart's content--
mcollinknight, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE MOUNTIE+DANIEL CRAIG MAIL!!!! I got it when I came back last week and it really was a lovely surprise to receive amidst the BILLS and INSURANCE paperwork lol. But I told myself I wouldn't react to it before I had actually completed your mail package (sent it off extra early last friday), so I hope you didn't think I never got it or anything! The keychain also looks really swank ♥ And I must admit that I totally forgot to add the Vienna postcards(D'OHHH THAT WAS LIKE THE WHOLE POINT IN THE FIRST PLACE lol I got sidetracked with assembling some BKK goodies), so look out for those to come in some distant future ^^
Now I am off to try and sleep, early start tomorrow- UE WERB and BAKK2! Ach. And I don't even really have a plan for München on Thursday yet ahhhhhh this impulsive/lazy no prep traveling is faintly disconcerting~~

So instead of working on some College!AU Pundits or Hippie-Commune!AU shenanigans like I am supposed to, my brain has been derailed by trying to genderswitch Rahm Emanuel instead. And the more I fudge around with it, the more I realize I really need to draw more, because I can't color, or rather SHADE for shit. NEEDS MOAR PRACTICE. Ahh, something to work on, oh boy~~
Because it is still hella rough, am not posting it to
rahmbamarama just yet. You guys get the bonus extra sneak peek, I guess XDD
( SHE LOOKS TOO NICE, IDK MAN :/// )
Oh snap it's nearly 1PM. Better go shower, have a 2.30PM lecture I should probably catch~~

CELEBRAATE COME ON
Mar. 8th, 2009 06:05 pmIt's Carmen's 23rd birthday today! We went for a walk at Schönbrunn palace (with Sven), chilled a bit at Sbucks and have now returned for some quality vegging out and DVD's. Shall be showing her Big Bang Theory and probably Zach and Miri make a Porno and uh, Slumdog Millionaire. One of these things is not like the other, etc etc :DD. We actually went out yesterday for a bit, celebrated Wido's 23rd birthday (lol one day before Carmen). Had some Indian food that basically everybody besides me liked-- am just not a fan, le sigh-- but Wido was pretty stoked by our admittedly very awesome gift. Carmen, Clemens and I pooled our cash to get him and Lena some ~*edible chocolate body paint*~ that we found in this chocolate delicatessen shop. It was 34€ and looks really classy (marc du champagne, raspberry and pistachio flavors in these little test tubes), so it better be good XDD.
And in the spirit of giving, here be the music recs that I promised people (ahem ahem
mcollinknight and
hemlocke ahem ahem) a bazillion years ago. I AM SO BEHIND ON ACTUALLY FULFILLING MY VARIOUS PROMISES everybody I apologize in advance and for all eternity >_>;;
BEST OF THAI:
Here's the thing about my taste in Thai music, or rather music in general. I tend to fixate on the output of certain bands that are basically my musical forever girls, so some of these ~might~ just be familiar to some of you who have known me for a while. BEAR WITH IT :DD
Tattoo Color - "Gohok(Lies)" ...My newest not exactly new find! Their music is just insanely peppy, they have cute MVs and I just love this song.
Tatto Color - "Cinderella" ...SERIOUSLY this song is so darling, the Cinderella of this song is a chick who is swift like a ninja! Who drives the main dude to sobbing into his pillow at night! And the melody is just insanely addictive~~
AB Normal - "Faen Chan (My Girl)" ...Theme song from the movie of the same name, that contrary to my shallow movie poster-based expectations turned out to be this bittersweet ode to nostalgia and childhood days. I TOTALLY CRIED AT THE END OKAY ;( And I just love how the lead singer's voice lilts in the verse part of this song.
Moderndog - "Gorn (Before)" ...Here the barrage of Moderndog music starts. I wish I could have found my copy of 'Ta Sawang' boo. BUT I LOVE THEM SO MUCH SO MUCH SO MUCH. And this is my all time favorite Thai ballad ever.
Moderndog - "Gorn (Acoustic Version)" ...OKAY I LIED, THIS VERSION IS. BAWLING NOW KAY.
Moderndog - "Busaba" ...their first big rocking single that came out in the early nineties and basically heralded the age of MODERNDOG ♥ One of the first songs I actually remember hearing in Thai, too (that wasn't by P'Bird lolol)
Moderndog - "Bang Singh (Something)" ...the beginning bits of this song never fail to give me shivers of GLEE. And how the lead singer's voice is pitched so low.
Moderndog - "Isarn Special" ...one of their more stranger offerings, but I really grew fond of this one. The way the melody slowly builds and the song gains momentum, ahh ♥ Perfect for when you're on a car trip and the scenery just flashes by.
Silly Fools - "Khi Hueng (Jealousy)" ...another one of my all-time favorite songs and bands, and I admit that ever since I found out that P'Toe left as a front man, I now refuse to listen to their new stuff. I LOVE P'TOE OKAY DD: This song also has the best kind of chorus to yell along too ♥
Silly Fools - "Pleng Nii, Kiao Gab Kwam Rak (This Song is about Love)" ...EPIC EPIC EPIC ♥ Words fail to describe how much I adore this song.
Silly Fools - "Sing Thi Mai Keu Bork (Unspoken Things)" ...another lovely and hella depressing ballad. Khan said once listening to this after a break-up almost made him cry lolol.
THAT KOREAN GIRLGROUP SENSATION:
AKA The Wonder Girls~~. I TRIED TO RESIST. I OBVIOUSLY FAILED. Here be the different versions of their hit single "Nobody" I have. Sadly I somehow wasn't able to get the Disco Version uploaded, grrr.
Wonder Girls - "Nobody" ...just try and not have the chorus echo in your inner mind for all eternity. HELLA CATCHY O YAS.
Wonder Girls - "Nobody (Rainstone Remix)" ...slower and now with moar acoustic guitar! Also kind of pretty.
Wonder Girls - "Nobody (Ballad Version)" ...I was so disappointed when this turned out to only be 36 seconds. But it is a pretty 36 secs, so here it is nonetheless (sorry,
hemlocke! MY EARS DECEIVED ME)
Wonder Girls - "So Hot" ...their OTHER insanely catchy single!
SO BASICALLY, enjoooy! And tell me if there is something wrong with the Mediafire links. Also, if anyone wants any lyrics translations/approximations of the Thai songs, feel free to hit me up :DDb

HI SABRINA, IT'S ME, YOUR ROOMMATE. AGAIN.
Mar. 3rd, 2009 09:55 amNOW I KNOW THAT I HAVE ONLY BEEN BACK FOR LIKE A DAY AND CHANGE, AND OKAY I ADMIT, SEEING THE STATE YOU ARE CURRENTLY KEEPING OUR KITCHEN+BATHROOM IS A BIT DEPRESSING, YET STILL NOT THAT SURPRISING WITH REGARDS TO THE DUST+FILTH LEVEL.
BUT I DO BELIEVE I DRAW THE LINE AT YOUR OPEN, USED AND BLOODY SANITARY NAPKINS LYING FACE OPEN AROUND THE BATHROOM. AND THE BLOOD STAINS ON OUR BATHROOM MAT. SERIOUSLY, THE ONE NAPKIN I JUST THREW AWAY YESTERDAY EVENING WITHOUT A COMMENT. BUT A BLOODY PANTYLINER THIS MORNING, TOO?? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, WOMAN. HAVE YOU RUN OUT? DO YOU NEED SOME MORE? ARE YOU GOING SELECTIVELY BLIND? ARE YOU ACTIVELY TRYING TO MAKE ME BE THE BITCH THAT WILL POST A POST-IT ABOUT THIS ON YOUR DOOR, THUS STARTING OUR PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE FUNTIMES AGAIN? BECAUSE I SO WILL, JESUS CHRIST.
AND MAYBE YOUR HORMONES ARE RUNNING WILD, I MEAN, I HEARD THE SCREAMING MATCH YOU HAD ON THE PHONE AT 8AM, TOO (THANKS FOR THAT BTW, WHO NEEDS SLEEP WHEN YOU'RE JETLAGGY, AMIRITE). BUT LETTING UP ON BASIC SANITARY MEASURES IS NEVER COOL.
WHY DO YOU KEEP DOING THIS TO ME, SABRINA. WHERE IS THE LOVE. OR JUST PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE WHERE WE BOTH TRY TO IGNORE EACH AND EVERY SIGN OF THE OTHER'S EXISTENCE. I AM TOTALLY FINE WITH THAT.
EDITED TO ADD: One awkward eye-contact moment in the hall aside, I have come back to a CLEAN DORM?? What is this magical sight my eyes are beholding?? You even disposed of your assorted dustbunnies that you like to heap in a pile at the common area between our doors. Why Sabrina, I am impressed! The power of embarrassment as a motivational factor is brilliant, isn't it.
OH and her reply to my politely! worded note on her door was: "SORRY! (was drunk)" lololol that doesn't make it any less gross, but still. LAWWWWL.

ZOUNDS I AM LETIRED
Mar. 2nd, 2009 11:05 pmI'M BAAAaaaAAaaaAAAAAaCKkkKK <-- that formatting choice is actually a somewhat accurate depiction of how much my voice is currently cracking. Dad managed to gift me with a final farewell-gift besides the admittedly super awesome mounds of DRIED DELICIOUS FRUIT-- his goddamn cough and sore throat. Managed to get some last minute meds before I got onto the plane, but still basically am coughing and hacking and wheezing my way through life at the moment. UGHHHH. But it is basically a fitting sickness to have given the current depressing and GRAYGRAYGRAAAAY weather that Vienna is all about at the moment. I WAS IN THE TROPICS BARELY A DAY A GO :(( DO WANT THAT BACK INSTEAD OF THIS. Also managed to share a seat-row with this amazing douche, who snitted at me for telling him to switch off his damn phone as the plane was fricken half in the air already and he was still yammering away. I mean, I realize that one switched on plane won't plunge us all into death and disaster, but they're the rules for a reason! And his snooty 'well did YOU switch off your phone' 'as a matter of fact I did. Because that's what the signs say. You know, the RULES.' 'well isn't that NICE of you' 'I know, right? (mental shaz theater: GO SHOVE AN IN-FLIGHT MAG UP YOUR ASS YOU DIIICK)' and etc. I thankfully was asleep for most of the 12 hour flight, but every time I woke up and stared at Asshole Dude, I entertained myself by trying to come up with a creative inner monologue that was cursing him out. He also had this creepy tendency to read whatever he was reading out loud and in this quick whisper-murmer thing. Ugh.
But! Got here early this morning, lazed around a bit, actually unpacked on the first day(!!), managed to unlock my Austrian SIM card again (lol), discovered I had not paid the internet for this month, watched some Mad Men to distract me from my stupidity and make the day past faster. IT IS A FAB SHOW, JESUS CHRIST ~*JON HAMM*~ DO ME PLZ ♥. And everybody is smoking and coughing all the damn time at Sterling Cooper, which made me feel right at home coughing along with the actors on screen |Db After that I finally restocked on groceries and hung out with Carmen a bit and basically presented her with a mini fashion show of all the schwag I brought this trip and her Mitbringsel. IT WAS STILL ALL UNDER 22kgs, I am shocked and in awe~~
OOH IT IS ELEVEN PM/FIVE AM ALREADY I THINK SLEEP IS CALLINGggggggggggggggggg

Mar. 1st, 2009 02:32 amNEWSFLASH: I DO NOT WANT TO PACK BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW
and yet I still can't sleep and it is currently 2.30AM or will be, and daaaamn it all to hell yesterday was the final nail in the coffin that is the death of a chance at a normal sleeping cycle before Vienna. Damn uni sign-ups that ended up being delayed til THREE AM BKK time, gaaaaaaah fuckers should know by now that the system crashes like clockwork this time of the year where about a thousand students log in at the same damn time. FUCKING UNI. Thank god I got into all of my first choices, though I am curious as to what they will do about the fact that we have ratios like 57 people signing up for a 30 max. only class. Not to mention the clusterfuck that was the AT-Hist sign-ups, with numbers like 76/35, 49/35 and the like. UGH UNI WIEN PKW FACULTY, YOU DUMBFUCKS ://
this is also a placeholder for things I want to post about when I get back to Vienna, since I was so bad with uploading pic posts and basically everything that involved effort that didn't get channeled into uni deadlines etc this time around: ACE&NERO POST (they are so cuuuuute and dumbbbbbb aaah my darling Rottweilers ♥), BKK FEB TRIP 09 SUMMARY, BOOKS/SCHWAG TALLY AND REVIEW and I must steal the Books-To-Read Masterlist thing that
yukitheawesome was doing, 'tis a pretty cool idea~
OKAY EVERYBODY GO LISTEN TO THIS SONG INSTEAD I'M GOING TO BED NOW ("Cinderella" by Tattoo Color! Love the lyrics ahhh so cute, so catchy and this Cinderella "moves like a ninja" and makes the singer "have to go home and cry" kajfh :DDD)

EXCLAMATION MARKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Feb. 27th, 2009 03:37 pmI GOT THE LEO BURNETT INTERNSHIP!! OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD, AHHHHHH ♥. All I need to do now is send them my precise starting date the moment I get my flight back to BKK for the summer. AHH. Suddenly, the three days in a row of around 4 hours sleep a night are totally worth it. LEO MOTHERFUCKING BURNETT!!! The ladies interviewing me were extremely friendly and nice, and afterwards they gave me their name cards and it turns out they weren't from HR like I thought at first, but the Group Account Director and Regional MDO Director themselves!! I'd be working with them in mostly Below-the-Line stuff, and their main account is basically all the Proctor & Gamble products for the five Asian countries of Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia. AHHH I AM SO PSYCHED JUST TYPING THIS. The whole vibe of the agency looks to be fantastic too, lol they were even asking me about my hobbies and normal fashion style, and when I mentioned that my three interests of food, taking pictures of food and the internet neatly dovetail by my constant blogposting of food pics, one of the ladies was all "...well I can tell you'll fit in with the rest of the staff no problem-- one does that with her Blythe dolls and the other staff member with pictures of herself." I must also say that they had the office layout that I liked the most since yesterday too, open yet still cozy and pleasant, with lots of awesome accents like fun yet comfortable furniture and chic little touches.
I gotta mention Saatchi & Saatchi as the most dramatic yesterday though, what with their HEWN STONE RECEPTION DESK!! and GLORIOUS BI-COLOR WOOD FLOORS!! with RANDOM STRIPES OF GREENERY!! you have to step over, but that effect was always ruined by the fact that their staff that I saw whilst there at least was always schlubbing around in this super casual get-up. Saatchi & Saatchi also had the most typo-ridden and invasive of all the employee application forms I had to fill out (the same one page had questions like 'Have you ever been addicted to narcotics? Have you ever had a mental illness or a serious accident, if yes to any of these, what did you have and what was the name of the doctor who treated you?' and 'What are your favorite sports? Tell us about your hobbies' lol nice contrast). Ma tells me that this is typical Thai application procedure, I was just mainly unnerved that even when you are like in your mid-thirties and applying, you are still required to state your parent's ages and job titles. AH WELL. Young & Rubicam had the best receptionist everrrrrr, and was the only place that wanted to know my height and weight, lol whut. Finding McCann Erickson turned out to be quite the odyssey (IT IS SO FAAAAAAAAAR) and I wasn't as blown away as I expected to be. Shorthand skills were also something that was mentioned on nearly all the applications and I was a bit surprised that it is still expected? The scales of the different 'describe which languages you speak and rate your fluency' parts had very interesting jumps like poor->satisfactory->FLUENT!!1 sometimes, too.
AHHHHHHHHH INTERNSHIP GET!! Now to celebrate on the internet some more before I switch to the Austrian timezone because the sign-up frenzy for our UE and BAKK2 is at (BKK time) 5PM, 5.30PM, 7PM and 1AM. The one day I would actually have gone to bed at 11PM and I am actually REQUIRED to stay up late for uni, lolllll it just figures.

OH MY DEAR JESUS YES
Feb. 21st, 2009 03:22 pmTHE GRADES ARE (ALMOST ALL) IN.
Bildungspsychologie II: 2!
AT PR: 1!!
AT WERB: 1!!!
AT HIST: 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH MY GOD YES. OH MY FUCKING GOD YES! What is this madness!! I mean, I am not so much surprised about the PR because I was one of the few people actively participating, but the Werb means that Teach liked my ad! AND HIST. WHAT THE FUCK. MY UN-BETA'D, CRAPPY ASS HIST PAPER. HOT DAMN ♥...I wonder if she even read it lolol
Oh man, this is wonderful. I can actually enjoy looking at my grades page now. Now if only the BAKK1 Teach would only just fricken confirm that she received my paper last week and akjskjfhsa arrrgh.
Wow my grades can still be saved (a little bit)!
AAAAAND this is me finally having internet again at my aunt's place, where we were staying at the hospital residences turned out to be too hobo-tastic to have decent internet so I was forced to go without. Meeeh. NOW TO CATCH UP (AGAIN). February is obviously not my month for internet times :(

IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE
Feb. 15th, 2009 06:02 pm*claws up from mountain of papers and debris* I'M FINALLY FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE *wheezes*
~*A TALLY OF THE PAST FEW DAYS*~
DAYS ASSIGNMENT WAS HANDED IN LATE: TECHNICALLY TWO, whooops! ...I wanted to send it late Saturday evening Thai time (-6 hours for Vienna), and had woken up since 6.30AM for a last ditch day of crazy writing, but then THE ELECTRICITY WAS FUCKING CUT FROM 9AM TIL 4PM, so that was pretty much a pipe dream. FUN FACT: Writing things out by hand kind of SUCKS, especially if your modus operandi is like mine in which I first randomly write some rough version of the text first and then repeatedly hack at it over and over again or until everything slots together. MMMH MICROSOFT WORD BB.
I am basically banking on the fact that Teach is normally super chill about such things, ahhh I feel so guilty about the SECOND DAY, it's like in my personal slacker rules, handing in an assignment a day late can still sometimes fly (especially if the deadline is like XX-DAY, MIDNIGHT, which just begs to be somehow abused), but crossing that second day mark just makes you feel like a GIANT DOUCHE somehow ._.;;
FINAL WORD- AND PAGECOUNT: 39 pages with all the bells and whistles, around 9,200 words and 34 pages of actual BAKK1 goodness (I beat the minimum pagecount of 30 WOOO). AND TO THINK I STARTED FEBRUARY OUT WITH 15 PAGES, laaaaaaawl.
AMOUNT OF GRAMMAR MISTAKES AND RETARDATION CAUGHT BY AWESOME PROOFREADER OLGA: .....EMBARRASSINGLY HIGH. GOOD LORD IT'S LIKE I CAN'T WRITE COLLEGE LEVEL GERMAN AHH. Seriously, Olga, I owe you so much man--shall do my utmost best to get you something extra super pimping as a Mitbringsel!! ILUILUILUUUU ♥
HOURS SLEPT: Always quite reasonable! 6-7 hours, and the last few days in Ma's fantastic new bed in the New House~ It's been giving me the weirdest dreams lol. And the sleep was mainly because I started to deliriously type gibberish in the late hours of the night and would snap to my senses and stare at things like "Smokey and the boys were standing in the hallway" under my supposed paragraph on the "Kulturparadoxe nach Marieke K. de Mooij" >_>;;
THINGS I AM NOW LOOKING FORWARD TO:
-working on a MAD TAN so that Carmen might gaze upon me and weep with despair and envy (and then probably match the moment it gets warm enough for her to jog again in Vienna lol)
-my face looking normal again, godddddd I don't know if this is some reaction caused by stress or whatever, or my face not being able to deal with the switch from WINTER!! to FUCKING HOTHOUSE!!, because I have blotchy bits on my face that looks like I am afflicted with some weird disease that is causing my skin to flake off. I love how it's centered around the corners of my mouth too, so that the ultimate Jesus Christ, what is wrong with your faaaaaaaaaace effect can be seen ://///
-FINALLY CATCHING UP ON EVERYTHING, I was online every now and then because, you know, ADDICTION IS A CRUEL MISTRESS, but now I can actually comment! *goes off to do so now*

UGH MY HEAD
Feb. 9th, 2009 01:07 amI can probably thank my own shoddy work ethic and my subsequently fucked up sleep patterns that this February will not hold much rest and relaxation for me :| Also, I am apparently now addicted to naps, especially at 2PM and cannot function like a normal human being without them. I tried, oh did I ever try today, only to succumb to sleep's loving embrace at 5PM. IT'S LIKE I AM RELIVING MY CHILDHOOD.
We are now ensconced in our second set of digs, after a night spent at my aunt's, we are now chillaxing it up in this serviced apartment complex downtown, which is also pretty fine. Much more roomier than the hotel! The highlight of my day had to be the SUPERMARKET VISIT OF BRILLIANCE at Central Chidlom today though, GOD MY HEART. It is probably a sign of how, I dunno, intensely food fixated I am, but there are few things in life that can make me happier than wandering around a fully-stocked, well designed supermarket. OH THE THINGS YOU CAN BUY NOW. All this imported crap, it's fantastic-- it seems like we have basically the entire stock of the UK's Waitrose and M&S products, all these Japanese foodstuffs, more US/European candy than you can shake a stick at aaaaaaaaaaand FRUIT, GLORIOUS GLORIOUS FRUIT! From Japan, from Korea, and of course our own local beauties. Oh how I can't wait to have some Durian again when I'm at Dad's place OM NOM NOM ♥. ALSO thanks to the ice cream meme over at
rahmbamarama I've bought some Ben&Jerry's and it is faaaaaaaaab~~ "Half-Baked", though I still like the Chocolate chip cookie dough one the most, but I figured new things should be tried choc ice cream is kinda blah though :/
...okay wow this post has no real value. The next posts will also probably feature me bitching about my looming deadline. FUCK 20ISH PAGES IN FIVE MORE DAAAAAAAAYS *headdesk*. HAVE THIS GIF TO MAKE UP FOR IT, GOD I LOVE THAT DOG'S FAAAAAAAAAAAAACE

DONE DONE DONE DIGGETY
Feb. 7th, 2009 09:25 pmMY DAMN ASSIGNMENT. I FUCKING SENT IT OFF. A DAY LATE (WHOOPS) BUT IT IS OFF. I WILL NEVER WANT TO SET EYES ON IT AGAIN, god I actually shudder to think at what I put the German language through in writing this HIST-AT Arbeit, probably took it out back in some metaphorical alleyway, broke its legs, stabbed it in the gut with a rusty spoon, gave it Ebola and left it to die in EXCRUCIATING PAIN or something. 26 pages in total, 16 of actual countable content minus the interview transcription. I cannot imagine actually NOT passing though, so I guess it's now a matter of if I will rise above the 4 or 3 mark and maybe get to grasp the shining light of a 2?? TEACH, IT'S UP TO YOU, PLEASE DON'T BE A GIANT BITCH MMMKAY?? *crosses fingers*
And now I "only" have around 6 more days +12 hours timezone bonus and an eventual day I can stretch because the BAKK1 probably doesn't give a crap until I have to complete my 40 pages of BAKK1. AND I HAVE 12 SO FAR, AHHHHHHHHH.
BUT FIRST, INTERNET AND SOME NORMAL SLEEPING PATTERNS, HERE I COME.not like I actually LEFT you, really, BUT STILL
BKK still remains awesome, though I have yet to really see much of the sun as we have either been ensconced in the hotel room or in A/C shopping centers. I appreciate that it's there though, MMMMH WARMTH :DD

Oh man, does it ever feel wonderful to come back to Bangkok. It's like this sense of rightness that settles in my bones and fills my heart once I sit in the taxi from the airport ♥ And it seems like the flights are progressively getting more bearable, I actually really liked the food we got (Beef+cream noodles, Salmon+moooar noodles) and the uh, in-flight entertainment was top notch, by which I mean I basically watched High School Musical 3 on the plane AND FUCKING ENJOYED IT. I feel vaguely unsettled about that. HMM. Zac Efron is seriously pretty though! It was also pretty funny that I was on the same flight as this Thai dude again, P' Dan, we've apparently always shared at least two flights these last few years lol if only this were a movie it would probably be the ~start of a beautiful friendship~, not the source of random awkward small talk it actually is now. AH WELL. There were also a TRUCKLOAD of loudass group tourists on the flight though, all pumped up for the entire ten fucking hours, ahhh >_>;; THEY FUCKING APPLAUDED WHEN WE LANDED, TOO. I hate Landungsklatscher! It is so lame, and so embarrassing and jhasfjkh *random heebiejeebies*
I must say that given that I landed at FIVE FUCKING AM, the morning hours did go by quickly, at the very least I wasted a good half hour on my stupid mobile phone woes. I WAS TOO DUMB TO REMEMBER MY SIM CODE and am now extra super specially locked outta my austro-phone. DERRRP. Had to beg a quick go on one of the phone booths mobile chargers because my Thai handy had no juice. Not the best starts to my morning, but ahh well. Had breakfast at Dad's hotel and got to blather at him and distract him from work for a good while before heading over to meet Ma at the Centara Grand for our 10AM check-in. We've stayed here before and it is still a pretty sweet set-up, I must say. The 39th FLOOR!! is of course a total win, but lol their super swank bathroom is really so much more of a hassle than one would first expect. ALL THESE KNOBS TO TURN IN THE SHOWER, I CAN'T SEE FOR SHIT WITHOUT MY GLASSES and I can't be expected to grok their complicated system without some fucking manual. AH WELL. We'll apparently be spending a lot of time in the room/gym/pool instead of gallivanting about the shopping centers, as Ma really isn't able to walk for extended periods of time without getting winded (and actually has to wear a face mask when she is out and about, which basically makes her look like Michael Jackson, especially when paired with her Marc Jacobs sunglasses and Louis Vuitton bag. MY MOTHER THE CRAZY SOCIALITE LOL). And I should probably get cracking with AT-HIST ARBEIT. DEADLINE FRIDAY AHHHHHHHHHHH.
LASTLY: I GOT A 2 IN BILDUNGSPSYCHOLOGIE. A TWO, A MOTHERFUCKING TWO!!!!!! I HAVE NOW FINISHED ALL MY GODDAMN WAHLFÄCHER OMG OMG OMG FUCKING FINALLY FUCK YESSSSSSSSSS

THIS JUST IN: I AM STILL KIND OF REALLY IN LOVE WITH SUPERNATURAL. Rambly and more than slightly incoherent squee follows the lj-cut, I keep reaching this point where I am too tired to sound like a legit human being, but am also too lazy to fucking leave the computer. AHH WELL.
( KINDA spoilery but TOTALLY FUCKING AWESOME pic for SPN Season 4x13 )
SEASON 4 OF SPN HAS BEEN TREATING ME WELL SO FAR :DD
ALSO, speaking of SPN, guess who signed up for the ~artist~ part of
spn_j2_bigbang? Why yes, that would be meeee. Be prepared for May, and my posts whining about how stupid I am doing this when I am probably gonna be jetting around +up to here in uni deadlines. AHH :DD

Jan. 26th, 2009 12:26 amIn lieu of actually doing serious work today, I have managed to wash two whole loads of laundry (MY BEDSHEETS SMELL LIKE A FIELD OF FLOWERS NOW AHH BLISS), talk to both parental units and plan my BKK itinerary, upload all my audiobooks to my iTunes library (appaaaarently my ORIGINAL COPY of I am America (And So Can You!) isn't immediately recognized as an audiobook? Mmmkay) and rewatch all my downloaded fandom vids so far. Also, I found out that 80% of the course for next semester are online already and I have already pored over it for a good hour and made a tentative plan for the summer semester. NOW IF ONLY I WOULD GET THE STUFF DONE SO THAT I CAN PASS MY CURRENT CLASSES AND ACTUALLY ATTEND THESE WONDERFUL HYPOTHETICAL CHOICES *headdesk*.
OH WELL I STILL HAVE FOUR MORE DAYS UNTIL MY FINAL BAKK1 PP PRESENTATION 8DD (thank god the actual hand in date for the finished deal got stretched to the 13th of Feb lol).
AND NOW have some delicious distractions instead!
Words cannot describe how much I am looking forward to this week's SPN ep :DD! I wish you could see Dean's "The whistle makes me their god." comment in this one preview though~

I survived BILDUNGSPSYCH II! I sure as hell hope I am not jinxing myself when I say that I am at least sure I got a 4, and am crossing my fingers for a 3. JUST PASS ME PLZ. It is amazing how much one can actually miss a good ol' short answers handwritten test with NO MINUS POINTS FOR WRONG ANSWERS, thank you dicktastic multiple choice MO of 80% of PKW stuff! I knew a few things cold, wibbled on some other ones and just plain made shit up for the rest I blanked on. HERE'S HOPING FOR VICTORYYYY. And now I only have 3 1/2 more looming deadlines to go, all but one of which are due this coming friday! YAY??
Carmen and mine's traditional 'Let's get dressed up a bit and go eat at nice restaurants' thing was another resounding success ♥ We went to the Limes and it was a shining beacon of classy yet understated decor, seriously attentive staff and STUPENDOUSLY DELICIOUS FOOD. I had the Gnocchi with Mushrooms and Herb Sauce and biting into each gnocchi was like tasting a slightly chewy, yet springy pillow of potato-ey fluffy goodness. IT WAS DIVINE, FOR REALS. Also their portions were more generous than one would expect, Carmen especially got her money's worth (all 16€ of it lol) with her order of Nero Risotto with Grilled Prawns. My dessert of Pumpkin Flan with a Honey-Cinnamon Sauce was also deeeelish~ ♥ Seriously a place to rec to the parental units if they ever make it here.
OH AND SPEAKING OF FOOD: SCULPTURES MADE OUT OF GUMMI BEARS!! ...how awesome is this, come on!
LASTLY SPN 4x12: ( HERE BE SPOILERLY RAMBLAGE )

Jan. 22nd, 2009 01:28 amWoo for Now-President Obama! Spent Tuesday squeeing a bit on
rahmbamarama and watching the Inauguration proceedings via CNN's online live feed that just managed to finally work in time for me to actually watch Obama get sworn in. Talk about lucky timing! What is there to be said really, besides the obvious fact that it was lovely to watch, and Obama's speech was making beautiful, beautiful love to the English language at times ♥
Which made it even more depressing, in a way, to come from that general feeling of all-round happiness to our PR-AT, where our obviously enthusiastic teacher (who even had a little Obama logo pin on her coat! O Hanni ILU even more now) wanted to get this discussion started and asked about our thoughts on the Inauguration/the new American politics and was then met with this resounding wall of indifference. And a strong hint of 'people who are psyched about this are somehow abnormal/lame/mindless US pawns'. There was this whole 'well the world shouldn't revolve around the damn amis and we should do well not to fawn over them too much' rhetoric that even Clemens was spouting, and I just started irrationally feeling really bad about being so excited. WHY YOU GOTTA BE SUCH DICKS, MY PR-AT PEOPLE DD:?? I mean, we moved on to the actual class lecture pretty quickly and it would've been a losing battle to really continue trying to defend my point, but it rankles nonetheless :///
I am also nearing a state of ~CALM PANIC~ for the Bildungspsychologie II exam this friday. I just need to pass this one elective! But it is a heckuva lot of stuff to study, and I doubt I would even crack the 4er mark if I do end up passing. GOODBYE BARELY ADEQUATE ELECTIVES GPA DD: The spectres of HIST-ARBEIT and BAKK1-ARBEIT und REFERAT are also looming menacingly over me, which is why I bought Häagen-Dasz Macademia Nut Brittle ice cream the other day! I needed it to uh, celebrate my continuous existence, oh yes ♥. IT'S ALL GONE NOW THO BOO ICE CREAM YOU NEED TO LAST LONGER.
And in loltastic dude news, I think I forgot to mention that sometime early last week St. Pölten dude drunk-smsed me at 2AM, and after some back and forth in a very illegible manner also confessed to me that: 'I think of yu[sic] every day, damn'. The 'damn' after the comma is such a lovely touch, lolol. And now he has even written me an email apologizing if he kind of made me feel awkward or anything-- I bet he just checked his outbox a few days ago and discovered what he actually sent off, ahhh. I mean, I was amused then and I am still amused, though maybe wincing at bit at the state of his English. Even sober it is a bit iffy, at least from what I've seen in written form so far. I should know better and actually try to just stick with German, but damn if I don't automatically default to English as my language of comfort and choice. CLEARLY I NEED TO DATE SOME AMERICAN/BRIT/AUSSIE/KIWI INSTEAD, WHERE ARE YOU FUCKS HIDING IN VIENNA D:

MONDAY WHY ARE YOU OVER ALREADY
Jan. 20th, 2009 12:03 am.....I see a disturbing trend establishing itself already, and it is called: WATCH YOUR LIFE AND VALUABLE UNI PRACTICE TIME FLASH BY WHILE YOU ARE PARKING YOUR ASS IN FRONT OF THE COMPUTER SCREEN GODDAMMIT WHYY. Damn you, time and space, damn you.
Things I managed to do today:
__ Somewhat break even on my outstanding social email etc correspondence. 'cept for mails to the parental units, efff!
__ Bring back Zeitgeschichte Library books, transcribe 3 pages of quotes that may or may not be usable.
__ Discover that my room is currently a bastion of dust and DESPAIR. I should probably vacuum tomorrow when there is enough natural lighting, whoooooops.
__ Make extensive hypothetical plans with Carmen what to do with our annual ~*MAY TRAVEL*~ holiday date. AIRBERLIN IS SO EXPENSIVE. We just want to fly to Rom (since last year already lol that turned out to be Stockholm), why does that keep getting cockblocked?? All the other destinations there otherwise are practically bunk. Helsinki would be interesting, alas you can't really check the prices in May already and the current flights in April are already around the 100€ for ONE direction mark, blargh! Skyeurope has Amsterdam as a location of interest, but again with the $$ factor. Ryanair offers a 74€ flight to Edinburgh!! from Bratislava (*puke* 20€ bus ticket there fuuck) though, which is extreeeemely tempting, though I bet that would be way compensated by the intensely expensive cost of uh, EVERYTHING ELSE there. Though the yahoo!currency converter tells me that the Pound and the Euro are basically at the same worth at the moment? What is this madness. Scotland would be so boss though, there are Loch Ness tours! HARRY POTTER DORKERYonly on my side! Scottish accents!
YET AS COMMON SENSE DICTATES, we'll probably end up going to Budapest by train lol. Around 40€ for the three hour train trip would free up a larger amount of cash to live it up a little bit there at least. And it IS one of the remaining places in our corner of Europe that I still want to see. I admit that Croatia/Slovakia etc etc don't really tempt me all that much. Or just the train trip doesn't, boo long train trips D:
TO WRAP THINGS UP: Have a picture of a knitted brain instead!
