Ninjas STILL can't catch you if you're on fire

Have now been culturally enriched by getting to finally watch Pulp Fiction, albeit the german dub, with Olgaaaa today! Slick movie and a real treat to watch*. I checked the IMDB site for some english quotes right after and no fucking wonder everyone and their donkey keeps quoting this movie. Jules(Sam Jackson with curls aaah what) and Vince(John Travolta's beer gut was kind of more horrifying than most of the gory scenes XDD) aside, I liked Bruce Willis' character the most and the uh, special special role that Christopher Walken had. I MEAN ahahahahaha oh man.

Other than that, we spent the late afternoon and most of the evening totally rocking out on Guitar Hero II. I FEEL MY DORMANT GAMER REFLEXES REAWAKENING AHhhhhhh yesss. Finished the Career Mode on medium... maybe one day I'll try hard and expert and see how fast my ass is toast. Loll. But 'tis quite addictive woo~ ♥

I am beginning to understand the sheer joy that cleaning can bring; of leaning back and seeing everything neatly in it's place and all is hunky-dory in the room. Mind, mine hasn't quite reached that stage yet BUT I am nearing it slowly, only the few little details left that I meant to do today but have abandoned in favor of rereading some old bookmarked fic. 'S worth it so far, though :D

Met Marie today for lunch at the Maschu Maschu in the Neubaugasse. Had some good, cheap and hugely portioned food and got to catch up with her for a bit. It's always a bit weird for me, hanging out with her... It's like there is not-quite equal footing? What with her being a bit older and being so active in all these youth politic things she is involved in, but then she shows me this bubbly and cheery side and I'm all ':DD??' in reply. But even if I feel so young..? compared to her, it's nice that she was also telling me about things like her various man-woes. Even if my input was less than stellar gg me. But I assume she also sees something interesting in me, so I'm cool with that.

Went to hang with Clemens after parting ways with Marie, since Monsieur M was sending me vaguely needy smses and positively jumped on my suggestion that I drop by later. Seems like Karim ditched him again for doing something in Bratislava with Anna and her guest? Haah, meant free TV for me anyways~ vegging and watching 'Home Improvement', 'King of Queens'(which I still don't find that funny) and 'Scrubs'(LOVE LOVE LOVE). Ooh and 'The Nanny', of course. Decided later to go on a walk together afterwards and did the whole route along the Donaupark from the Millennium Tower to the Cineplexx at the Donauinsel and back. Woooooooooooo~~ Fucking cold it was, though!

And on the note of friends, I want to talk to La, I want to talk to a bunch of BKK people that going on Facebook reminds me of. I want to talk to Jo who didn't reply to my sms which is making me paranoid. Lol and tangentially this reminds me of what is probably the con of the wall/pinnwand stalkage you can do on studivz and facebook-- you can see other people you also might wanna speak with talking with mutual acquaintances and friends and then it's all 'heyyy why isn't XY talking to meeeee *whine whine DESPAIIIR*' /complaining

ALSO: KAAAAAAAT WHERE ARE YOUUUUUUUU *sob*

To my great surprise, today actually ended up being quite productive! I mean, okay, I did only start doing stuff after 7PM, which left about 6 hours frittered away on and around the computer BUT STILL. Also typing that precise time kind of disturbs me. BUT I did take time off and call people and take some trash down, yes yes *rationalizes woo*

I have been graced with the glory of the internet since yesterday already, yet have hardly really gotten so surf to my heart's content, as there is a mountain of stuff to still be done here in Wienna, Dad and Sue to entertain(their flight leaves tomorrow evening already, waaah) and really, hardly any time to sleep or anything. My luggage for one is still a heaped pile in the middle of the dorm, the room interior itself needs to be redone (am gunning for a fresh look, or at the very least less clutter and or stuff packed more efficiently in tribute to all the crap I carted over from BKK) and even the internets is sometimes failing me... Why even now facebook and studivz lag and it's all very frustrating when I can apparently do a stupid app quiz yet not reply to people's wall messages (PATTY I WILL GET BACK TO YOU DDD:)...

The only thing I DID accomplish this evening here after dinner with Dad and Sue (Plachutta@ Wollzeile! Tasty place we didn't get into yesterday because there were too many people) was a resorting of my earring collection and the entire usage of all the stands I bought. The finished product looks kind of like I've robbed a jewellery store, but I am all a glee about it nonetheless ♥ Pics soooon.

Am now FINALLY firmly ensconced in Ma's casa with WIRELESS INTERNEEEEEEEEET!!! No more cold turkey at Na Paew's place, though I must say the Nip/Tuck Season 3 DVDs I had were instrumental in making me honestly not really notice the lack of glorious net. Twas all the more bitter when I discovered that the LAST HALF HOUR of the Season 3 two-hour season finale was mysteriously missing from my admittedly dubiously acquired box set :( ...anybody in the know willing to tell me what happens? Obviously nothing groundbreaking, since season 4 exists (and I have already burned through disc one of 7 there, and already I have some skips and freezing. Oh fake DVDs, why are you not my friend this time round??)
But oh how I adore the sheer high-intensity DRAMA! and EXPLICIT SURGERY FOOTAGE! paired with some truly convulted character relationships this show has... Christian(**) and Sean's friendship is really something, their highs and their lows and the fucking around with patients and the weird patchwork family thing they have going... The little in-jokes and pop-culture details in the whole series! Ahh ♥. And I found myself really liking Julia and Kimber, the latter who besides being a really interesting character herself is sublimely gorgeous-- geez I wish I could work hair like that. Hot stuff.

(**)= I have slowly come to terms that watching Christian Troy on Nip/Tuck is like watching a glorious, charismatic and bastardly trainwreck of a character. Was hanging off my seat most of Season 3 and tearing up or blathering at the laptop screen during PIVOTAL happenings. 'Oh, Christian... why must life keep shitting on DDD:' seemed to have been a note I scrawled down at some point, I think.

Last but not least, this remains one of the best 'heartstring-tugging' ads I've ever seen. Saw it the first time in the movie preview timeslot and JEEBUS christ I was in tears afterwards. My imminent breakdown in Step6 is naught but less than a day away! And I still have a considerable amount to review, seeing as I spent this day/sunday faffing about and having the attention span of a gnat >_>;; I even ate/stuffed myself throughout the day out of avoidance and boredom, how female-cliche is that kind of behaviour ...*SHAME*

The Um Soz exam on Thursday went well though, I was suprised to note! Especially since when the prof said that the review questions after each lecture would be useful for the exams I never actually realized she meant THE EXACT SAME QUESTIONS would be used XDD. If only Haas could be as merciful! The weather was hella shitty that day though... We seem to be alternating between sweltering almost tropical but without delicious humidity and air-con HEAT and RAIN RAIN HAIL argh. Got me some sweet summer-y shorts in H&M for this exact purpose, too ♥

Friday and Saturday I spent trying to practice in vain for Step6, but eventually getting distracted by various things like 'study session' at Clemen's place (read: I get there, he's watching Stargate, I do some reading during that, then The Simpsons comes on, followed by Scrubs and theeen X-Men 2. Ahem. Needless to say not much else got done than that mass TV vegging spree ^^;; The good sir seems to be in another one of his mopey moods again though, who knew that guys could be this whiny and moodswingy~).

SATURDAY was also the day Carmen, Michi and I met up with Dario at the Donauinselfest, apparently Europe's biggest Open-air festival(??). We decided just to go to see the fireworks at 10, which were really spectacular and GORGEOUS and went on for what seemed like an eternity of awesome, but was 'only' 20 minutes ♥ Really made squishing our way through the unwashed and drunk masses worth it! We even ended up wandering to the FM4 Stage aswell and got to see a large bit of the Gentleman concert, who in retrospect I am told was apparently one of the headlining Events that night and a really famous german Reggae star. Needless to say I had no fricking idea and had to be edumacated from Michi and Dario. The music was okay, too ...again I am probably a bad person to describe it as all Reggae ever sounds the freaking same to me and I kept laughing at inappropiate times to what hilarity Gentleman kept saying to the crowd: "Austria! Show me some FIYAAAH! Show me some LOVE! Children of Babylon dem all ride da storm!" , "Dis next song be called 'Vibe Killers' cuz dey be sum people dey tink dey always be KILLING DE VIBES", "Raise you hands Austria! Can you feel de MOONLIGHT??!" ...clearly we were not stoned enough to fully appreciate the experience! And I really felt happy to be as tall as I am, as Carmen had to be taken piggy-back by Michi to actually see the happenings on the Stage ahaha the curse of being short-ish at concerts XDD

Aaand since I was up and about anyways and the SUN WAS SHINING I decided to park my ass in the swanky Cafe Landtmann's(been standing since a 100 years apparently!) outside sun-terrace area and enjoy a slooooow breakfast and lunch snack~ Also known as 'how much should be spent so that the waitstaff doesn't give me the evil eye for staying there for two hours haaah'. Must say that the scrambled eggs with ham and the strawberry strudel were extremely tasty and affordable, too :Db Now if only I were somewhat of a coffee-person so I could fully experience the atmo of one of Wienna's prime coffee houses with a cup of the gazillion types they had, but alas *shrug*. Must drag Ma there if she ever comes to visit!

Furthermore I am shocked that I am actually coming along quite well with my practising for my various exams... 2 more weeks for the big four and Social Ecology is up on this coming thursdaaaay ahhh!

Last thursday was also RACLETTE TIMES at Harry's dorm, with most of the crew all present--- and especially awesome was that Flo could make it ♥. Ahh good food was had, Carmen and mine's super cool punschbowle(orange/peach/passionfruit +vodka and champagne) was drunk and slighty sloshed activity games were played! TEAM YELLOW~~ And we pissed off Harry's RA, too lol XDD

I continue to skillfully underwhelm in my academic endeavours! Have the whole of tomorrow at least to gain some headway? And whatever I can still amount to in the following wee hours of the night... though I doubt it will be much. Managed to get some other minor stuff that had been niggling at me done, so at least that is a victory... inasmuch clicking around the bargain flyer websites for Dad can be considered as so.

Have gotten around to uploading some sweet new icons though, and have finally made up for the dearth of NORRINGTON iconses(u.a) I have, although this Ron one is glorious ♥ I wish I had some chicken right NOW, too D:

Wanted to do some bedsheet laundry too, alas the washing machines of my dorm seem to have all decided to meet their makers in one go, so all are currently bunk ...except one?? That never seems to be free anyhow, gragggh. Wish that bastard Clemens were back already so I could at least hijack his washing machine.

Weather's gone to shit now, too. Raiiiiiiiiin the whole day D: AH well, not like I would've left the room nonetheless, even if I feel so lazy when I hear about Carmen and her morning jogging routines >_>;;

Damn, took me long enough to start posting again today, ahaha turns out Kat's prediction was right after all (DUDE REMEMBER TO DL SKYPE AGAIN!!!)... am not so much with the crippling nausea like around this time yesterday though, even if sleeping in the next half hour would be a brilliant idea.
Who knew that a Sonnenstich/light heat stroke?? could be this fun/annoying/educational?? I do not regret the time I spent sizzling in the Volksgarten and the Museumsquartier on friday though, the roses in the park were gorgeous and it would have been a major waste of the day if I had went home directly. The vague urge to throw up in the stifling heat that is my room is kinda not needed, even so... Ahh, thank god for damp towels applied to the neck to quell such urges!
And I will be probably be running about in the sun again tomorrow, as Carmen says that the weather is likely to drop back into the 20s degreewise from Tuesday onwards?? MUST soak in warmth! And see about meeting Karim and getting my Franzl back, has been long enough already, but I can already see him flaking off the meeting like today. Ahh, at least he's consistently like this with everyone else, or I'd start to get either pissed or vaguely insecure XDD

OOH and before I forget--- Olgaa don't forget to call me wegen POTC3 ne? Don't exactly have much phone cash left and yeah... Spent too much money today, shite >__>;;
