MY DAMN ASSIGNMENT. I FUCKING SENT IT OFF. A DAY LATE (WHOOPS) BUT IT IS OFF. I WILL NEVER WANT TO SET EYES ON IT AGAIN, god I actually shudder to think at what I put the German language through in writing this HIST-AT Arbeit, probably took it out back in some metaphorical alleyway, broke its legs, stabbed it in the gut with a rusty spoon, gave it Ebola and left it to die in EXCRUCIATING PAIN or something. 26 pages in total, 16 of actual countable content minus the interview transcription. I cannot imagine actually NOT passing though, so I guess it's now a matter of if I will rise above the 4 or 3 mark and maybe get to grasp the shining light of a 2?? TEACH, IT'S UP TO YOU, PLEASE DON'T BE A GIANT BITCH MMMKAY?? *crosses fingers*

And now I "only" have around 6 more days +12 hours timezone bonus and an eventual day I can stretch because the BAKK1 probably doesn't give a crap until I have to complete my 40 pages of BAKK1. AND I HAVE 12 SO FAR, AHHHHHHHHH.

BUT FIRST, INTERNET AND SOME NORMAL SLEEPING PATTERNS, HERE I COME. not like I actually LEFT you, really, BUT STILL

BKK still remains awesome, though I have yet to really see much of the sun as we have either been ensconced in the hotel room or in A/C shopping centers. I appreciate that it's there though, MMMMH WARMTH :DD
kaiserkuchen: (Iron Man! Giddy-up cowboy)
I survived BILDUNGSPSYCH II! I sure as hell hope I am not jinxing myself when I say that I am at least sure I got a 4, and am crossing my fingers for a 3. JUST PASS ME PLZ. It is amazing how much one can actually miss a good ol' short answers handwritten test with NO MINUS POINTS FOR WRONG ANSWERS, thank you dicktastic multiple choice MO of 80% of PKW stuff! I knew a few things cold, wibbled on some other ones and just plain made shit up for the rest I blanked on. HERE'S HOPING FOR VICTORYYYY. And now I only have 3 1/2 more looming deadlines to go, all but one of which are due this coming friday! YAY??

Carmen and mine's traditional 'Let's get dressed up a bit and go eat at nice restaurants' thing was another resounding success ♥ We went to the Limes and it was a shining beacon of classy yet understated decor, seriously attentive staff and STUPENDOUSLY DELICIOUS FOOD. I had the Gnocchi with Mushrooms and Herb Sauce and biting into each gnocchi was like tasting a slightly chewy, yet springy pillow of potato-ey fluffy goodness. IT WAS DIVINE, FOR REALS. Also their portions were more generous than one would expect, Carmen especially got her money's worth (all 16€ of it lol) with her order of Nero Risotto with Grilled Prawns. My dessert of Pumpkin Flan with a Honey-Cinnamon Sauce was also deeeelish~ ♥ Seriously a place to rec to the parental units if they ever make it here.
OH AND SPEAKING OF FOOD: SCULPTURES MADE OUT OF GUMMI BEARS!! ...how awesome is this, come on!

LASTLY SPN 4x12: HERE BE SPOILERLY RAMBLAGE )
kaiserkuchen: (Ishida! Doki-doki)
THIS WEEKEND: insanely awesome and productive socially, and all the more a resounding failure on the get-shit-done-for-uni-FUUUUCK side! Saturday evening was spent being wined and dined chez Miss Olga, with the evening's entertainment being moaaar Skins (EVERYONE'S SUCH A DIIIIIIIICK GOD :DD) watching and my continued indoctrination of her into the cult of Punditry (Jon Stewart's '96 HBO Special, o how I have watched you about 7 times already and still you remain awesome). I am still thinking about that Himbeersahneschnitte though, dude that was so tasty.

Now this Sunday I spent with previously mentioned Scruffy St. Pölten Dude (Marc). We ended up meeting at one-ish at the Westbahnhof, and proceeded to spend the next six hours chatting up a storm and hitting up multiple Sbucks and McD's for warmth and coffee/hot chocolate breaks, a late lunch at the Vapiano and more coffee at the Kurkonditorei Oberlaa. Our circuit was basically the entire Mariahilfer, then we walked from there to the Innenstadt past the Hofburg until we hit the Kärtnerstraße. Best walk of normally quite large distance, ever! Hot damn was it ever so much fun, we apparently do have a lot in common, yet enough differences to make friendly debates happen and it was just a blast. Though I did figure him for around my age, apparently he's 24 already (babyfaaaaaaace) and readily admits himself that he is a bit immature. Which uh okay, you could notice, but it was still in the acceptable adorable-jackass way that I am apparently susceptible to. I blame constant exposure to the dudes in my RIS Swiss Sec days lolol.

It was the oddest thing though, because I am still not sure if today was a date or not, because if you discount the fact that he paid for everything(!!) and kept asking if I was sure I didn't want anything else to eat/drink, I felt like I had just spent a very awesome day hanging out with Migel. He tried to go for the handshake when we parted ways, but I hugged him instead because lol, A HANDSHAKE?? Don't know if I'll have much time this January to really see him often though, but I've already wrangled a promise from him to show me around if I ever come down to St.Pölten. And I actually would like to, to be quite honest :)
ALSO HE IS (A BIT) TALLER THAN ME AND HAS CUTE HAIR SO THAT CRITERIA IS SOUNDLY REACHED :DD
kaiserkuchen: (Pundits! Pondering serious thoughts etc)
SO I THINK I AM GOING TO BE VERY STRESSED THE MOMENT I WAKE UP AGAIN(BAKK1 Zwischenbericht deadline ahhh I have nothing ahhh) AND UNTIL THURSDAY (hardcore sociology exam AHHH). EFFFFFF.
But! There is shining brilliant light in the midst of these unsavory things that I will now elaborate on in list form, because I am tired and should really try toddling off to bed :(

LIST OF YAY:
DEXTER SEASON 3 FUCKING SEASON FINALE. Moaaaaar plz! I love this series so much for being so consistently good. Definitely one that I will also be buying the orig box-sets for!
♥ The delicious and sumptuous Mövenpick CREME BRULEE ice cream that Carmen and I shared as we watched Dexter, topped with a generous helping of forest berries and richly drizzled with Mozart Chocolate Liqueur
♥ Trading early X'mas presents! Carmen really liked the shirt I got her from BKK and the papaya hand cream and mangosteen hairmask, score. And I totally adored my gorgeous cookie tin filled with chocolate and the personalized snowglobe!! she made with one side being a silly pic of us both during ice-skating, and the other being one of our swank Prague pics ! AHH :DD
♥ Following the awesome of the DVD/Present thing with Fondue at Wido and Lena's! Clemens and this friend of Lena's, Katja, was there too and it was so much fun. THE FONDUE WAS DELICIOUS, even though I was actually full from the ice cream I ended up pigging out all over again. SO WORTH IT THOUGH. EFFING HOME-MADE CHEESE FONDUE. Mhhh~ And we played UNO later and I won twice. HAH.
Clemens wasn't a dick! Seriously, he was so pleasant and fun, it was almost like last year in not-a-dick levels. Absence doth make the heart grow fonder? He better come to Punschen tomorrow too though.
♥ Punschen at the Karlskirche tomorrow! I get to see Tutor Georg and Dominik again! I could take or leave Georg O. and totally pass on Lis and Harry though, man this could possibly turn out so ~awkward~ tomorrow lolol
♥ THE INTERNET. ALWAYS PUTS A SMILE ON MY FACE :D

But one thing I am not looking forward to tomorrow is having to pay fucking EIGHT EUROS in library fines. Fun story: The BWZ bib closes at 4PM. I had borrowed four books over the weekend and admittedly left the house a bit late. Got to the BWZ at ten to 4PM, but figured I would have enough time to copy my needed pages out. Our IPKW library always takes a while to close, so I thought that if I took until ten past 4PM, I could still squeeze in and return the books. So I copy and copy and am finally done, toddle over to the library and seriously, it was TEN MINUTES PAST FOUR PM and the lights were out, nobody was there and the (glass) door was locked. ERGO, due to these ten minutes I will be 8€ poorer tomorrow. I almost want to just keep the books longer now since I have to pay the fine anyways (and lol, after the first 2€ pro book fine, they just add 20 cents a day whaaat). BUT FINE BWZ BIB, BE THAT FUCKING WAY D:
kaiserkuchen: (TCR! Why yes I AM brilliant)
Sabrina is learning! I was treated to this ~*lovely*~ note in front of my door this morning:
Hi,
Vielleicht schaffst du es auch Verantwortung zu übernehmen und mal 'vor der eigenen Tür zu kehren' (im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes) und den Boden zu wischen im Vorraum und im Bad.
Danke, Sabrina.

(Basically in English: Hi, maybe you'll also manage to assume responsibility and 'clean up your own messes', specifically wiping down the common area and the bathroom floors. Thanks, Sabrina).
OH SNAAAAAAP. Ahahaha, oh my fucking god. I mean, I must give it to her, that note is good. The way she throws the word responsibility I used in my other note right back in my face? The thinly-veiled disdain in those oh so polite sentences? Nice move, nice move. I honestly felt bad for a few minutes, before I realized that, wait, she is basically trying to give me shit for letting the dust settle. And the fact that the stuff to 'sweep' up is apparently my job, even if it SOMEHOW always magically is way more than could just feasibly be from the common areas and SOMEONE seems to be allergic to the thought of actually using a vacuum cleaner for her own cleaning. I vacuum my room and the common areas weekly or at least every two weeks. She can not make me believe that that much accumulates in the time between. But! Okay, I can get with the program. I wiped down the fucking bathroom, I wiped down the common area floor, I cleaned the bathroom mirror, I unclogged the shower drain (always a joy) AND I even fucking bought new bathroom and kitchen mats. Sabrina wants to have a motherfuckin' CLEAN-OFF? BRING IT ON, BITCH. I'll show you fucking clean living. I am indifferent to living in a certain measure of dusty surroundings, guilty as charged, but man, at least I never actually make the kitchen regularly look like THIS ). TCH!

ALSO: Today is my FOUR YEAR LJ Anniversary! Man, how time flies and how LJ has managed to be the gaping black hole of AWESOME TIME-CONSUMING YAY in my life that it is. I wouldn't have it any other way~ It's been more soothing than expected to have a place to just type my random thoughts and just follow various fandoms with, I've gotten to know so many cool ladies through this (some with RL meetings woo) and it is probably LJ that I have to thank for Kat and I being in such constant contact with each other after all these years apaaaaaaart (LOVE U BEBE XOXO). Here's to many more years!

ALSO ALSO: I forgot to post about this yesterday, but Happy Belated Birthday to His Majesty The King ♥!!! I wish he wasn't ill and had to cancel his annual speech, but I hope and pray that he'll soon be healthier again. I did manage to SMS Dad and wish him Happy Father's Day though, and even got a very nice abrupt 'thanks.' in return. Oh, Dad.
kaiserkuchen: (Bright! This is my uni icon lol smrt)
I SHOULD BE USING THIS AS MOTIVATION TO STUDY MOOOAR, but it is still light out and I am still headachy, so distraction per LJ first it is! Basically, I found out two days ago that the fact that I resigned myself to only being finished with university/my Bachelors Degree by next December could actually not be necessarily true. I could be done by next summer! We need a combination of 60 SWS (weekly semester hours) of Publizistik main subject classes and 30 SWS of our various electives to complete this major, and lo and behold I actually have 28 SWS for the electives already. So if I actually pass Personal + Organisation this semester (...even if that is very unlikely baaw), I would actually have 1/3 of my major all wrapped up, and if I put some back into taking as many exams for next semester now or in January as possible and pass everything now, the chance of me getting done in the projected 'normal' 6 semesters is actually doable! I have 26 SWS for PKW right now, but if I pass everything I will get an additional 18 SWS and start the summer semester with 46 SWS and asjhfas the math looks possible! I mean, I will probably hate myself and die from the stress, but it is a very warming and reassuring thought that I could do it! I can still 'take my time' and be done by December (as predicted to the parental units), but I could also see if I can try to get my shit together. AHH. AND THEN A SIX MONTH (PAID??) INTERNSHIP IN SINGAPORE OR SOMETHING WITH CARMEN before getting back to the drudgery of doing a Master's somewhere here. Good that would be awesome. Even better would be somewhere in the Staaaaaaates (Patty!), but even my dreams get cockblocked by the fact that I know that shit would be too expensive ;((

BACK TO TRYING TO STUDY. AFTER I REREAD SOME HIKAGO FIC. OH SELF WHY CAN YOU NEVER GET YOUR ACT TOGETHERRRR >_>;;

Man, time sure flew by, I guess! Have been busy with supraaaise!uni, planned!activies (IKEAAA) and surpraaaaaaaise!socialness--including surpraaaaise!finally snapping at Michi not to be such a fucking bitch when we are at a mutual friends and their friends ask me something about Thailand and even before I open my mouth he is already starting with his stupid supercilious 'I know so much better than you' face. Hah, guess I shocked him something good? Carmen maintains that it was one of the most awesome things I did that she got to witness, anyways. The actual words I said were uh, "Ey Michi fang du ned scho wieder mit deine scheiß' Fressen an, da kanns ich gleich lassen mit dem Erzählen!" "!! Ich zieh doch keine--" "VOLL. Du ziehst da immer deine scheiß' Fressen und ich hab da so was von kein Bock mehr drauf!" ......*awkward sileeeeeeeence until Carmen prompts me to continue lolol*. I am a picture of prim and proper German communication, tru fax. Now he is super creepily nice to me, as we have reached the occasional occurrence when the dude realizes that, WAIT we were actually his close friends for a while! Friends should be valued! And treated nicely! But it never really lasts, and soon I predict a return to his usual self-centered douche-baggery. What changed, what chaaanged :|

I should actually be up to here in reading for uni now, since this week is my hardcore block week, but alas, the last few hours of today and most of yesterday have been spent rereading the best of Speranza's Due South Fanfic, which is as you know, EVERY-FUCKING-ONE of them ♥, so there are worse ways to waste valuable brainspace and time, I guess!

And in lieu of anything else interesting to say, have some cute animal pics of AJ and some WEE!PUPPY pics of Ace that I managed to earth up again. GOD HE WAS SO TINY AND CUTE AND TIIIIIIINY *cooos*

Halt the presses! I have returned to bring you news that the good town of Pattaya still remains the filthy morass of sin and depravity we all know and mostly ignore! Now with an added air of desperation, as the numbers of girlie bars and suspect tailors all try to vie for the attentions of the vastly decimated number of tourists. I mean, there are still your usual suspects of fat, sun-burned and beached-whale-esque Germans/Swiss/Brits/Russians/Amis that either are attempting to tan themselves to oblivion or are already parked at their dive of choice at noon, surrounded by bargirls or the packs of Middle Eastern 'tour groups'--but still not as many as yesteryear. It is particularly depressing to see the empty seafood restaurants and their pathetic displays. AND STILL, people are building like crazy. Condos and hotels are popping up like mushroom! The mind, it boggles.

The hols were still fun though, because the Amari hotel we stayed at was fully renovated since the last time I was there, and looks utterly stunning and FAB. We got upgraded to the Executive Floor and had a super swank room (albeit with 18th floor views of the construction going on at the Holiday Inn next door, lol). And the hours spent lolling around the INFINITY POOL!1, sunning and reading was excellent. The sea around the beach in Pattaya is not fit for swimming, anyways, though it HAS greatly improved and manages to look quite pretty from afar! Managed to get myself a nice touch of color to tide me through the winter months in Vienna (FUCK I DON'T WANT TO GOOO TOMORROW) and have some delicious food, most suprisingly in the local Hard Rock Cafe. Mhh, hickory smoked ribs and beef brisket!

Meant to write this yesterday when we got back, but regaining internets after not having been online for these few days was too much for my feeble addicted soul. Heh. I must now pack, but perhaps a shower would be in order first. Why is it 5PM already??

PS David Cook's new single 'Light On' is fucking fantastic, good god has he got a wonderful voice.

GIP! Finally got off my ass and set on to upload some new icons, mmmh fresh 'n new~ And speaking of the illustrious Mr. Dent, I am now able to gaze into his awe-inspiring visage every day when I toil at BK Mag. Yes I downloaded a fannish wallpaper on the company PC and it is awesomeeeee ♥

And speaking of the ~*internship*~ at BK Magazine-- here be my attempts to at least start blogging about it, if I wait for inspiration for a nice and tidy post I'd probably be done working there already. I mean, as it is it's already been nearly a month! And holy hell, how time flies when you're having fun (and trying to ignore a STEP5 deadline!). Admittedly I did have a few days off there due to public holidays, but it was when I was updating my page on the intern wiki (there is a wiki for everythiiiing these days) that I noticed that I don't really have all that an impressive body of work to my name.

The way it goes is that after the first week where you really just do grunt work and shadow the editors around their job, you get more and more freedom to do stuff like handle the smaller interviews on your own, columns, etc etc. With the kicker being that only some actually mean you get to have your by-line to it. And it just ended up that way that most of the stuff I had gotten on my to-do from the editors was fact-checking, research, stupid asking people on the street questions-- btw  I HAAAATE doing that, and it only took after the second time I had to do it to cement this opinion, but until you get 10 random people to actually say some decent sound bites or at least find some dudes who don't mind getting interviewed you become pretty damn pissed off at everything XDD--, online movie synopses... in short, it was a large amount of work, but besides one interview I did with an indie band, there was diddly-squat to my name. ...I mean, I actually don't need a writing portfolio? But it's like a matter of principle now lol and I am basically raising my hand and jumping up and down for every damn chance to do something that has my name behind it.
AWESOME WRITING TO-DO's NOW:
  • 'Lookalike' column w/ P Tak ...basically a "Dress like (EXAMPLE), here some chic and similar alternatives" deal. My topic? SPEED RACER BABY. Man, trawling Siam, Bonanza and MBK for the relevant stuff w/ P Tak was hella fun~
  • 'On the Bar' column on this jazzy/bluesy place  one of the photography interns and I checked out today  (Yut speaks German! I am of course teaching him all the ways to lose the precise grammar and speak like the real German hobo youth of  today :Dbbb). Am supposed to basically just give a snazzy profile of the place and why it awesome.
  • 'Escapes' column. This is just a simple round-up of current hotel deals and packages that are in the area (BKK and Thailand, overseas), written up a bit.
  • 'Train travel in Thailand'. CHOO CHOO BABY. Man researching this was so boring. And then the Deputy Editor told me that I could write the story myself if I wanted. I was all ' YAY! ...trains! I uh, love. ...trains *THINK OF THE BYLINEEE*'. First draft this Thursday and I have already started woo~
  • 'Scene-stealer' or 'State of the Art' interview with the curator of the new art museum in BKK. I can already see some quality time spent with a thai-eng/eng-thai dictionary to pimp up my art related vocab lolol
...and the best part about all this is, besides the train story, there aren't any real deadlines! But Imma try and get as much done as quickly as possible so I can do moaaaaaar (fashion bits!!). Tomorrow's my back-content online uploading day though, wargh. HAET UPLOADING CRAP TO THE WEBSITE. So tediousssssss.
That's all from me for now, tune in tomorrow?? for some possible FLASHBACK BLA :D
kaiserkuchen: (Jin! V for motherfuckin' VICTORY!)
FUCK YESSSS VICTORYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! 'WE' WON!!!!! FINALE TIME BABY OH YEAH!

Oh my fucking god, what a match! Carmen and I were on tenterhooks the whole time-- admittedly the Turks played an awesome game and there were times I was wondering what the bleeding fuck was up with the German boys. THEN CAME THE TURKISH GOAL. OSHII-- And what a lameass goal that was! Thankfully four minutes later equalizerrrrr (Schweiniiii with ace teamwork with Poldi as usual ♥). Bla bla game proceeds, the German team making some RUDIMENTARY MISTAKES wtf was up with the sheer number of missed and overshot passes??

AND THEN THE STORM ROLLED IN. Sudden signal outage! COMMENCE THE SCREAMS OF FUCKKKK NOOO in the Irish pub we ended up watching in. Which turned out to be the correct idea given the fact that the Fanzone where the others were had to be evacuated because of the danger from the storm. Go go our laziness! The minutes where the signal was down, only to come flickering back on and then drop again were so frustrating. AND THEN ONE HEARS THE CHEERS FROM DOWNSTAIRS (that had cable, those bastards)... A GERMAN GOAL (Klose)! Signal still down. Minutes pass. Suddenly another yell. Turkish equalizer. 'Oh my fucking hell noooo', Carmen and I are thinking. Still no signal from our bar. We're seriously considering paying and going downstairs to check out the last minutes. But lo and behold, suddenly the big screen flickers back to life! AND IT WAS ANOTHER GOAL BY LAHM IN THE FUCKING 90th MINUTE! 3:2! OH YES OH YES.

THUS, all is well with the world. I am currently filled with so much love for the German dudes! It was especially sweet that Lahm scored the decisive goal, given the shitty one of the Turkish players had fouled him earlier that the ref did not blow the whistle on (Jogi Löw's reaction to that was great though-- very 'angry concerned Dad-ish'). YOU SURE SHOWED 'EM DARLING ♥ The after game celebration was so damn adorable too-- Poldi clapping like a loon and jumping into the crowd a bit! Schweini stealing a hat and flag from some fan and dancing around with it! Ballack doing some REAL SUBTLE guzzling of his hideously neon blue Powerade!

Jogi Löw will probably give them all so much shit in the locker-room, and honestly he should, because this wasn't the game it could've been BUT OH MY GOD GERMANY'S IN THE FINALS YESSSSSS. This is one match I sure as hell will want to see in the Fanzone! LET'S BEAT RUSSIAAAA (I seriously doubt Spain will make it??)

The first thing Carmen said to me when I told her about my sweet score of fruity goodness: "DON'T YOU EAT ALL OF THEM AT ONCE AGAIN OKAY??". Ahh, such caring friends :D. The Digles family stand at the U4 Heiligenstadt station is truly a thing of beauty-- their cherries, raspberries and especially STRAWBERRIES are always consistently fresh, ripe, smell like heaven and are delicious ♥ Went to Hofer/Aldi later to get the seedless grapes also pictured, and to try the Ranjo brand smoothies there. SO TASTY! And for 1€ you get 237ml of truly fruitastic smoothies in flavors like Banana/Pineapple/Coconut and Mango/Orange, so it's a really good deal!

Am otherwise in a very chill state of mind, disregarding the looming exams, BECAUSE I GOT TO TAPE AN INTERVIEW FOR STEP5 YESTERDAY! With the editor for the online version of the Biber magazine, even. And I already have the second one confirmed(CHIEF EDITOR WOO) for this wednesday, FUCK IT'S SUCH A RELIEF~~ The only problem is that even with all my attempts to extend the length of the interview, it doesn't clock at more than half an hour, which is 30 minutes short of the length we are supposed to have as a minimum. Must talk to teacher at the Sprechstunde this Monday if it is acceptable as is... I mean, I did get all I wanted to out of it and my interview-partner was delightfully eloquent, as well. HMM.
kaiserkuchen: (Ishida! Heartmarking like a debonair)
SUCH AN AWESOME WEBSITE OF MANY TREASURES~~

Have plowed through all 122 chapters of Skip Beat available so far over the last 2 days and OMG NO WONDER THE WEEKEND WENT BY SO FAST. This is high quality FUNFUNFUN shoujo as it should be, with a kickass heroine(KYOUKO AND HER INNER-DEMON SPIRITS AND EVIL LOOKS LOL) and a great leading man(REEEEN), who even though he is burdened by the cliche-tastic tall(seriously, the proportions in this manga are WHACK), dark and handsome character design trope, manages to be a really interesting dude in his own right. I was squeeing and gushing and sighing all throughout reading this, and if this were a manga I could have actually held in my hands, I sure as hell would have been cackling like a crazy bitch and rolling around on my bed at the same time, THAT'S how fun reading this has been! Will continue to watch Kyoko act her heart out like a pro and interact with the other characters for many more chapters yuss yuss :Dbb
This is what onemanga says about the plot: "Kyoko Mogami followed her true love Sho to Tokyo to support him while he made it big as an idol. But he's casting her out now that he's famous! Kyoko won't suffer in silence--she's going to get her sweet revenge by beating Sho in show biz!"

Other manga recently read there include: Hana Yori Dango(FINALLY! And oh my god it is SO EPIC O3Ob), Shinshi Doumei Cross(super shoujotastic fun once I could finally distinguish the different character O Tanemura-sensei this always happens to me with your work >_>;;), some Tenjou Tenge(LOL o man how Oh Great!'s art changes for the better) and the recent bits of XXXHolic

Only the THEO and Entw. Psych and Business English I and II midterm grades to wait for!

KPOL: 4
Produktion und Logistik MT: 25/45
Int'l Marketing I MT: 30/50

I mean, good news first, I passed everything, hurray hurray... But even if I look at these grades myself it is shocking how dumb I seem, if one would only judge me by these TAT. Am still not so sure about how good THEO and Entw. Psych will be, can actually picture more 4s BUT AT LEAST I CAN SAY WITH FULL CONFIDENCE THAT B E I and II WILL BE CERTAIN 1er/A's! I can at least speek an rite guud engleesh, yayzz~~
Have more motivation to improve for the final tests now, that's for sure! ...at least concerning iMar, P+L can be a pass and I will jump from joyyyy god I hate that class XD

beat Michi in iMar though, 30 vs 27 hurhurhur! Also he flunked Soz Psych II whilst Carmen got a 2 and he's apparently being a right bitch about it now, including writing the prof angry emails about teh INJUSTICE!!1 in the system of having two different problem sheets. You see, he always gets the HARDER ONE *rolls eyes*. Boy needs to learn how to own up to just plain having sucked sometimes...
kaiserkuchen: (SPN! SPN for Dummies!)
I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER WHAT I SPENT MOST OF TODAY DOING. :///

Met Joachim in PR though and got his belated gift for me, this adorable mug that was filled with pralines and mars bars! Which was perfect timing, as I was actually really really hungry at that moment, heh! MARS BARS GLUE YOUR JAW TOGETHER THOUGH! Apparently I can also still expect Clemens and Nardo's gift on friday-- something to do with watching "Be Kind Rewind" akjssfa, which is awesome~~. La's present came last friday, and the Uni Basel purple shirt of ~*STYLE*~ contained therein (along with pear-chili bathgel and a mix CD) is now up in my new favorite T-shirts to wear all the time AHH SO COMFY AND STYLISH~~! Makes me jealous in a way, Uni Wien's shirts aren't even half as cool XDD

The iMar test turned out to be tricksy only in the SHEER VOLUME of the questions, and it turns out doing the last minute cram session with the online self-tests was very smart indeed. Must keep in mind for the Final~. Business English I midterm is tomorrow, followed by II on Thursday and I must say that I feel guilty for not really preparing for it, but the sad truth is that no matter how shoddy I would actually write the exam, it would probably still be better than most of the class... that's how bad the general english skills in B E I are >_>;; MUST NOT GET COCKY THOUGH, shall do some last minute checks tomorrow morning~

OH AND I WANT THIS KEYCHAIN akjdhs ISHIDA FINALLY SOME MERCHANDISE WITH YOUU AGAIN! My phone yearns for your presence! And lol I'd probably buy two just to be safe XDD

+ One more Youtube link for the road. PIANO VERSION OF 'GOD KNOWS' ♥
kaiserkuchen: (Reborn! Someone sure is SMOKIN')
Have surprisingly spent the last two or so days listening to some German music and watching German movies and uh, Pro7 reality TV(I LOVE GERMANY'S NEXT TOP MODEL OKAYYYY XDD Gina Lisa is actually awesome :Db).

Movies:
__ "Barfuss". IMDB summary says: 'Nick, a hedonistic bachelor, falls for an escaped mental patient.'. I say: 'Heyyyy it has ♥Til Schweiger♥ in it. Heyyyy the music is really nice! I dig the cinematography! ...heyyy the actual love story that starts out cute is kind of creepy and co-dependent and unbalanced and the situation-comedy is hitting on all my embarrassment squicks ugh ugh erghh :|' All in all, an okay movie, but I don't really get why so many people seem to rabidly love it so much?

__ "Sommersturm". IMDB summary says: 'Tobi and Achim have been best mates for years. As cox and oarsman, they have lead their rowing club to win several rowing cups in the past and are now looking forward to win a big regatta in the countryside of Germany. But this trip isn't your usual summer camp experience and problems soon arise. As Achim's relationship with his girlfriend Sandra, who's also on the team, grows more and more serious, Tobi starts to realize that his feelings for Achim run much deeper than he's willing to admit to himself. He feels confused, unsure of himself and increasingly left out by his friend Alex and the team. When Sandra's best friend Anke shows her interest in him, his anxiety starts to grow. When it turns out that the much-anticipated Berlin girls' team has been replaced by a team of athletic, cliché-bursting young gay men, Tobi and his teammates are suddenly forced to grapple with their prejudices, their fears, and, perhaps, their hidden longings. As the tension grows, Tobi, Achim and the others head towards a confrontation as fierce and liberating as the summer storm that's gathering over the lake. And Tobi realizes he has to start facing some facts about himself he didn't dare to face before.'.
I say: 'WATCH THIS NOW, the entire movie is ON YOUTUBE, do eeeeet. Wow. Just a lovely and funny coming-of-age and coming-out movie and Robert Stadlober really is working it in this role as the main dude, even if I normally stare at his face with a mixture of revulsion and fascination. He just. Seems really weird. BUT that aside, wow the rest of the cast is great, too. Solidly written and filmed (the muuuuuusic!). Loved the boys who play Leo(hottt), Schorschi(lolll o Georg your role in this movie was great), Malte and Achim XD'

__ "Ein Freund von mir". IMDB summary says: '...nothing. Dammit. So here be the keywords instead: Car driving/Friendship/Friendship between men/Porsche/Love triangle/'. I say: 'Clemens really loves this movie, and gave me a copy of the movie to watch in the easter hols. And I must say, I can see where he's coming from about this one. It's kind of a mellow, yet really touching and all round well-made buddy movie that at the same time is also about finding who you really are and overcoming personal crises. Daniel Brühl (I really need to rewatch 'Goodbye Lenin!' again)is interesting to look at in this movie, you can really see his turmoil in his eyes or something like that. Well, I kept staring in rapt fascination anyways XD. Also there are fast cars and nice cars and that's probably why it's popular with guys, too. And Jürgen Vogel seems to be a big draw as well?

Songs:
__ Nina Hagen & Automobil- 'Du hast den Farbfilm vergessen'. Clicking through wikipedia articles about recent german movies reminded me of 'Sonnenallee' that Michi and I recently rewatched at Joachim's place and the song that featured in the ending credits. 'Sonnenallee' itself really seemed so much funnier when we watched it in school, but ah well. This song is just really catchy (MICHAAAA) and it's always kind of a head trip to see Nina Hagen looking relatively normal, lol.

__ Muff Potter- 'Fotoautomat' ...best first verse everrrr 'Hallo comma paragraph new line...' XDD

__ Die Ärzte- 'Junge' Even the Ärzte realise how awesome Shaun of the Dead is in this video, which is undoubtable an homage (the scene where they take a picture of a zombie chick lying on top of the singer and trying to eat him ahahaha) and the fact that the video features ZOMBIESSS!!1 makes the lyrics, that I couldn't resist translating into English, all that more hilarious...
Junge... )
OFF TO TRY AND BE PRODUCTIVE NOWWWW~

Back! After eight long days of no internet chez grandparents! Yesterday evening was already spent vegging out gleefully, and here a post to collect some of the links that tickled me pink:

DEAD FANTASY I and II
via [livejournal.com profile] tomomichi
The Final Fantasy girls vs. the Dead or Alive girls. Yuna, Rikku, Tifa and later on Rinoa and Kairi (no idea bout the DoA chicks, just squeeing for the FF ladies here XD). No holds barred Battle Royale. IN OTHER WORDS: SO FUCKING EPIC. This are the fanmade(!!) vids I never knew I had to have seen. The detailed and awesomely choreographed fights! THE BEAUTIFUL CG MODELS for the girls! The weapons! The final moves and limit breaks! More squee behind the cuts! GO WATCH THE VIDS FIRST AND BASK IN THEIR GLORY

JENSEN ACKLES
Tis nothing better when you are randomly link-hopping and then come across some mighty fine picspams of gorgeous men (TAYLOR KITSCH(Timmy Riggins on FNL) and JENSEN AND JARED(These names should already speak for themselves :D)) and then stumble upon a HI-RES shot of this pic:
Photobucket
HELLO NEW WALLPAPER! And by hi-res I mean 'takes up a third of my display, and the rest is beautiful clean whiteness. Must unclutter desktop to accommodate this ♥'

LOLZ
I WANT THIS T-shirt.

ALSO. A Gossip Girl dude 'going gay'. TEN BUCKS SAY IT'S CHUCK. His big gay love for Nate is PALPABLE when you watch GG *srs nods*

CFUD
Catching up on 8 days of awesome! A truth or dare post! Mafia and AT-tard antics! PW cast! More series noted down to check out (Vinland Saga, Pandora Hearts...)

Ahh, that was lovely ♥. And now a note to self: GO TO FUCKING BED EARLIER. My dorm has better lighting than my Krimml room, and okay life in Wienna has the added incentive of actually seeing OTHER PEOPLE on a day to day basis that aren't related to me, which makes the fact that I currently look like a wreck very worrying (=stronger bags under the eyes, skin break-out and my hair is rebelling... Noooooooo D:)
kaiserkuchen: (Kyouya! Mon Ami~! BFF forever)
If I can get these done I can finally switch off my computer, guilt free! (It's been on standby for the last ...three days? LOL OOPS)

ART @DevArt:

__ SWEENEY TODD!. Man, the movie was so much more FUN than I expected. Ace music (who knew that Johnny Depp could sing so nicely) and I was consistently amused by the HP reunion that seemed to be happening in the movie. Snape! Wormtail! Bellatrix! Hehehe~
__ MOAR Sweeney (and Mrs. Lovett. My favorite songs were 'Try the Priest', the medleys that featured Sweeney and Anthony AND the song where you see Mrs. Lovett's dream sequence (A++ HILARITY o god I think I nearly choked on my popcorn at that bit). 'Pretty Women' just made me snicker like hell (but Alan Rickman has a really nice singing voice :D) and 'Johanna'.... ahahaha o man.

__ THIS just made me think of [livejournal.com profile] gwy. Pretty, pretty Kuchiki Byakuyaaaa-taichou.
__ Keeping with the Kuchiki theme, here be a really beautiful picture of 'real'!Rukia releasing her Zanpakutou.

__ DANTE IS BADASS. Enough said!
__ CLOUD STRIFE ain't too shabby either, in the badass video-game character category :Db. Love the way this is coloured so damn much.

__ LOLOLOL ...'Batman in Wonderland'. PERFECTION. Ahaha I need to send this to my ex-comics tutor!

__ GUH, the girl's outfit is gorgeous ♥. Love the details and the texture.

__ AXEL! I adore how this pic looks like a still from some KH2 anime or something ♥

IKEA trip today with Michi, Carmen, Nathalie and Lis! Hilarity and mass spending abounded, where I was finally not the one who spent the most money! (That dubious honour went to Michi this time with 63 € hohoho vs. my 51€ XDD)

Things I have awesomely managed to build together:
_ PORTIS (HEROICALLY WIELDING A SCREWDRIVER)
_ BABORD
_ STATIST (OKAY this doesn't really count ahahaha ^^)
_ ... two magenta storage boxes that I am currently unable to find on the website

Ahhh, am long not done with the IKEA-trip inspired remodeling of my room (TBC tomorrow lol), but even so the difference is already really pleasing. Things have their place! It is all so orderly! I am finally throwing away the crap I had somehow hoarded since my first semester here (...empty caviar jars??)! BLISS. Will be posting some before and after pics, fo' sure~

OTHERWISE I now have to quickly read and make intelligent notes about my assigned Business English II reading due tomorrow-- "International Financial Instability in a World of Currencies Hierarchy". 31 pages of NOT INTERESTINGNESS woooooooo.
