Ninjas STILL can't catch you if you're on fire

So the most rabid, ALLCAPS part of my glee has simmered down towards something more manageable, but I am still filled with warm fuzzies that the Mannschaft managed to pull together an awesome win in a seriously thrilling game against Uruguay. Twitter has never been more dear to me in these alone-in-front-of-the-TV moments and mad love towards mcollinknight, laliandra and apple_scruffer for always keeping me company there and have excellent taste in teams in which to support ;DDD

I am happy we managed to get third place, though part of me still wonders about the what-ifs of the game against Spain and what could have been. But! This has been a fantastic tournament showing and I am confident that these dudes will continue to improve and kick some everloving ass at the EM12 and the WM14 ♥ ALSO, IF MUELLER DOESN'T WIN BEST YOUNG PLAYER THERE IS SOMETHING DEEPLY WRONG ABOUT THE WORLD. This guy! Same goes for Neuer as goalie, because he was amazing~ (I MIGHT BE BIASED tho ahem ahem). And of course I am hoping for the other nominated German players to win big, Schweini throughout all this time has especially become FLAWLESS, AMAZING, AWESOME AND SO ON AND SO FORTH to me <3333 Still sad about Klose not getting his chance to play and try to crack Ronaldo's record though. Hang in there Miro, and stay fit enough for the EM at least, you hear??

Spending time after the games (yesterday was especially killer lol 5.30AM bedtime WHOOPS)stalking and right-click-saving my way through the party posts on ontd_football and other assorted picspams was another way of keeping my SCHLAAAAAAAAAAND joy on an ever constant high. IN CONCLUSION, IT WAS...

I SHOULDN'T BE AWAKE NOW. And if I must be awake, I shouldn't be in front of the computer, but since I am, I might as well be productive and make a post.

It is still asstastically cold in Vienna (-13 degrees Celsius a few days ago when I WAS OUTSIDE, and -7 today WHILE I WAS OUTSIDE, TOO), but I still have errands to run tomorrow. The TOEFL Test registry place will hopefully be taking my money (ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY EUROS UGH THESE RAT BASTARDS) so that I can register to give this test a whirl come January 30th. Might as well see how much ass I can kick at it, nearly everyone I know was been skeptical why I want to do it, but seriously. I can say that I am basically a Native speaker of English and that it was my first language until I'm blue in the face, but unless you talk to me in person, you can't tell for sure just by looking at my stats on paper. I'm either an Austrian or Thai citizen, depending on where I am applying, and the subsequent fact that neither my ~technical~ mother or father tongue is English. Which is where the TOEFL test would come in! I bet the hardest part for me will be concentrating for FOUR CONSECUTIVE HOURS AHHHH THE HORROR.

Sent off some of the holiday mail at least (met up with Michelle and dragged her on my errands with me, ahhh she was so patient ♥), the second batch will be up up and awaaaaaaaay tomorrow! AND SPEAKING OF MAIL, laliandra's glorious package arrived in my mailbox today and I am the swankest girl who ever swanked now, HAH HAH ♥ LALEX I LOVE YOUUUU! I seriously look forward to wearing those fab red earrings, Lal, and I will be spicing up my Salzburg cowtown-time with the cute bag that is now my official EARRING AND SHINY THINGS transportation :DD.

This and this (!!!!!) one are also two TPaTF artworks on DevArt that I thought were fantaaastic. I FEEL LIKE AN EIGHT YEAR OLD GIRL AGAIN, EEEE DISNEY~~. And seeing the wedding outfits in actuality is even better than I expected. I love Tiana's lilypad gown SO DAMN MUCH.

IN OTHER NEWS, when I was over at her place today to absorb productive Yuletarting waves and watch TV on the side, I showed cheshire_tabby Adam Lambert's FYE video and she is weirdly ~~IMMUNE~~ to his awesome charm. Which is okay, and THAT JUST LEAVES MORE ADAM FOR MEEE. But dude, I do hope you realize that I will still be yammering at you about him anyways, eh? And there is no way that Gerard Way looks manlier that Adam. No fucking waaaaaaaaay~~

To counteract the last one (though I still hope Sabrina remains gooooooone for a while, ugh at least now I have somewhat cleaned things. WHY IS THERE ALWAYS HAIR IN THE FRIDGE, FOR REALS D:), a list of reasons why life is pretty boss right now:

♥ I found out that my BAKK2 Thesis deadline is "the end of October". Which still mean I should start with the actual writing soon (tomorrow!), but it is excellent news. TIME, PRECIOUS TIME.
My university courses have all also finally aligned! Got into my two necessary seminars, and managed to successfully sign up for two sociology electives that total over my needed 5 ECTS AAAAND I am probably going to attempt the ABWL Intro to Business exam at the BWZ in November/December that would be 6 ECTS if I pass, so either way I seem to be set for graduation! NOTE TO SELF: DON'T FUCK THIS UP
♥ THE ROOM IS NEARLY CLEAN AND CLEARED UP
♥ Have been purposely trying to eat healthily now- yogurt and whole-wheat toast, fruits and salads and it has been nom nom nom-licious so far! Totally used the +honey idea from C in my Lamb's lettuce salad with Serrano ham and figs yesterday, and it was pretty much ~*tastebud heaven*~. And tonight I dine with Miss Olga again, double yay for nomming healthy food in company, even! :D

♥ ♥ I WANTED TO GIVE THIS DESERVING SPACE, SO HERE IT IS. EVERYBODY WHO SENT ME MAIL OVER THE SUMMER, I GOT IT AND I LOVE YOU ALLLLLLL! Even my RL crazy travelling peeps did not disappoint (Pisa! AND laulan, duuuuuuuuuude a double-whammy of mail? Be still my beating heart! And the postcard of the San Fran bridge is epically ~dramatic~ and mysterious, and it totally makes SF look like a magic land of mystery and possibly DINOSAURS. I associate dinosaurs with fog?? My brain just told me this, idk. And I can only state again that the post-it letter was one of the best things that I have ever received in a (fantastically be-stickered ♥) envelope and I will not stop until everyone in my immediate RL circle knows about its color-coordinated brilliance ♥ ALSO I WILL REPLY TO THE CONTENTS IN AN EMAIL, COMING TO YOU ...SOON :DD

First things first, another round of HAPPY BIRTHDAAAAAAAAAAY MY DARLINGS!!! to JENN AND KAT aka apple_scruffer and luscious_mangos aka MY TWO FAVORITEST FRUIT-RELATED LJ-NAME HAVING PEOPLE (WHO DON'T KNOW EACH OTHER BUT CLEARLY HAVE THE SAME B'DAY ON ACCOUNT OF BEING JUST THAT AWESOME) ON THE INTERWEBS. I eagerly await your wine-drenched posts already Jenn, and KAAAAT may you get healthy again soon by the time you read this! DON'T NEGLECT ME FOR CATCHING UP ON YOUR JE-FANDOM SQUEE, MISSY!

Today I overslept a bit for the Thai food festival that Carmen and I went to, but all's well that ends well and we got to have some delicious food, look at the stands and watch some random people get the Cliff Notes version of a Thai marriage ceremony. ...if it's their thing, I GUESS?? Olga, you should totally check it out for the food alone dude, it's on til the 9th! Their desserts are priced quite cheaply (5€ for a good serving), and clearly fresh and made-on-the-spot. Carmen had a simplified version of Khanom Chun/Chan, served with freshly grated coconut on top, which gives a slightly salty counter-taste to the sweetness of the dessert itself, and I had some delicious Foi Thong, om nom nom tasty golden eggy threads of delight! Suffice to say you can't really eat too much of these at once, as it is with most Asian desserts, but they were really good. The Ta-ko can also be recommended (tiny little squares of jelly and corn topped with coconut cream)! Here are some more pics of delish Thai desserts to make you guys hungry, and I gotta post a link of Khanom Luk Chup as well, AHH PRETTY TO LOOK AT AND NICE TO EAT.

AND LASTLY-- would you guys be interested in a voice post of me saying random things in Thai/German/English? We could all do one each or something, lol basically I think it'd be cool to hear each others voices... If yesss, any requests? Lol I need things to say otherwise I'll end up rambling about god knows what. SPOILER ALERT: Whatever I end up talking about, "ach"s, "uh"s and "...jaaa"s will end up featuring extensively. And I might end up saying LOL out loud. Because I am that person who uses internet acronyms in my daily life. Yes.
